Very well maintained and ornate plantation home and surrounding property. Adjacent slave quarters also represented here as well. Definitely an educational glimpse into a thankfully bygone era. The adult full ticket price of $20 each was too expensive.

We had an absolutely amazing time with our tour guide Anne!! She was so informative and really knew her information about the plantation. We felt like we were taken back in time to the 1700s and given a tour by a housemaid. I would highly suggest stopping by to see the history and learn about the timeline of events. We came as a group and had a great time. Thank you Anne and great job!

I was pleasantly surprised as to how enjoyable our visit to the Plantation was. I took my 3 teenagers, my husband and my parents-all of whom loved it. Our tour guide Anne was fantastic! We loved hearing the stories and the history.

We had a great time touring this plantation. Anne was our guide and she was amazing. You could really tell she enjoys sharing the history of this house based on her enthusiasm and the amount of info we were given. After the tour was officially over, she walked us over to the school house and quarters where she continued to give us more info while she waited on her next tour to begin. Excellent guide!

I wanted to like this plantation more. In my opinion, I wouldn t recommend this plantation unless they have been to some of the others first.

First, the plantation itself is gorgeous. The inside has some unique aspects to it that make it very cool to see! The blue is very eye-catching on the outside. Unfortunately, the house is right on the street so getting a pic of the front is just about impossible without going around the fence and crossing the street. Back of the house pics are nice, though.

I felt the need to dock two stars for the tour. First, it s only if the big house and not anything about the slavery area. Second, our tour guide was dressed in sweats, a hoodie, and flip-flops with socks. I thought they were a freshman in college who just showed up to class late. I don t think guides need to dress to the period as some plantations do, but just casual dress would make a world of difference in professionalism. Lastly, far too many people were on our tour. Many of the times, people had to stand in other rooms because not everyone could fit where the tour guide was. Small things like this make a massive difference in the quality of the experience!

Overall, still a good experience. Not as good as others I ve had, and I wouldn t recommend this to folks who are looking to go to their first plantation, but it was still an enjoyable experience that could easily have been a great experience.
