They are good here, but their prices are outrageous. I paid almost $9 dollars for a bag of candy and two chocolates. Would recommend going to Kraus chocolate shop because it s just as good and about half the price. To put it into perspective, a bag of gummy bears at The Kraus Shop is $1.75 for a decent sized bag and a bag of gummy bears at Samuel s is $4.95 for a much smaller bag. Why go here and spend double as much when you can go elsewhere and spend half as much for the same quality? Came here because I m a huge Walking Dead fan and Ant Man fan, but I will not be returning. How can a candy shop owned by millionaires be more expensive then a family owned business who most definitely has nowhere near the amount of money as the owners of this shop. Wouldn t be complaining if it was the best candy and chocolate I ve ever had, but it s no better than Kraus. This is an example of a shop that only caters to people from the city. This place is only adding to the displacement of the working class people in upstate NY. Bring this shop down to the city where it belongs, along with all of the other citiot shops in the area.

Stopped in to Samuels just to try it out since I've heard so many good things and what I've heard was true
I brought in one of my clients and he loved the shop he had a peanut butter cup the size of his fist and he always asks to go back
I however am not much of a sweets person but I devoured the candies I purchased and the lavender cookies I purchased for my fiance were amazing
It is a little pricey so expect to pay when you walk in but the products are very good

I've been shopping here long before famous people bought the place. Since the change in ownership, little has changed though, and it remains an awesome place. The selection of candy is crazy, and they offer so much more. Try some of the baked goods they carry from Matchbox Cafe. Samuel's has the best coffee in town. The staff has always been fantastic. I've never had a bad time here.

A Perfect Punch-Line, Ant-Man & Negan walk into a candy shop, who says OhSnap! First? I am 200mi away but have ordered online before, sweets addict and more than happy to toss my dollars to Mr. Rudd and Mr. Morgan. Mr. Morgan's interview on Howard Stern is what convinced me to order!

(FYI, the OhSnap! is a sly reference to Avengers Infintity War)

Sweet Shop for the Rich and Famous. I say this because they re the only ones dumb enough to pay triple the price for candy and confections that can be bought elsewhere for less. But hey, you might get to meet Ant Man so I guess that makes it worth it.....

My BFF and I take Sunday adventures and today it took us to Samuel s sweet shop. We were welcomed with great energy by to lovely young ladies. (Whom had the best character of all the stores we visited) Enjoyed our beverages and a little throw back seeing some of the candies from back in the day. Thanks for a great adventure destination!!

Seems like a really nice quaint shop, but my experience was horrible. The kid at the counter doesn't seem to care about customers and doesn't know how to make coffee drinks. Most of the items here are packaged and prepared chocolates which More

This is a great little candy shop, and I'm not joking about it's size. It's barely 8 feet wide and guests squeeze on by each other trying to order and pay. The staff are always friendly and they have candy or coffee options anyone can enjoy. I always leave with more than I plan to buy. It all too good.

Are you kidding me? They were selling pumpkin pies from Deising's bakery in Kingston for $24.95. Deising's sells them for $11.95. Scandalous. Have they forgotten that people actually live in Rhinebeck and are not just tourists?

Friendly staff, and just enough sweet stuff to make it worth the trip to go over and see it. I would not describe the Sweet Shop as small I would rather say that it's cozy. Well lit easy to find right in the main part of town on Main Street. It is definitely some place that you should stop and say to fill the hole in your sweet tooth. Plus the fact that Paul Rudd and Jeffrey Dean Morgan on it makes it even cooler to stop at.

Staff was rude and stand-offish as soon as we walked in. Guess we didn't fit the usual customer profile.....Staff was extremely rude to my mother. After we made a purchase. My mother was walking out while I was still near the register and pulled down her mask to eat a piece of the candy. Staff yelled "excuse me please pull your mask back up." My mom said "oh sorry, I was just eating a piece of the candy." Staff replied "well there's no eating in the store." In a rude tone. While another customer chuckled at my mother being yelled at. It was a very very unpleasant situation. And if it occurred before my purchase I wouldn't have spent a penny in that overpriced store.

Cute, quaint and delicious. Specialty candies are a blast and the old school candies are a blast from the past! The frozen drinks are blazingly good. I didn't get to see any superheroes that day but that's the fun of visiting. It's all a chance. Still worth the trip though.

Paul Rudd and Jeffrey Dean Morgan kept this place from closing and the while community is thankful for it. This traditional candy shop opened some over twenty years ago and the owner died but these guys bought it and kept it running the same as it had for years. Thanks for keeping a gem of the community alive!
