Had an appointment with the radiology team today, and I must say, they were the best team I ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They were calm and patient and took their time to really explain everything needed in order for the procedure to go smoothly. I was super anxious to go to Samaritan for this procedure, given it s recent issues and history (usually have HORRENDOUS experiences with the ER), but these guys really do take their job seriously if you let them and wow did they do absolutely flawless today. The wait is definitely longer than usual, but their staff is warm, welcoming, and friendly so long as you treat them right as well. Thank you so much to the radiology department, you all are incredible!!

So, I had surgery today. The surgical team is awesome! They were very caring and really made my experience less stressful and I thank them for that. Everyone I dealt with seemed like they like their job and I appreciate that. Also Dr. Humes was great and actually listened to me and is very thorough. Thanks again!

Samaritan sincerely needs to review their phone system and phone etiquette. Not only was I transferred around a half dozen times by people who didn't know what they're doing, but they also straight up said I was not treated in the ER after I spent 11 straight hours there. What a joke of a hospital... You're better off going to Carthage or Syracuse if it's not a life threatening matter.

They need to improve their ER. I find it hard to believe that a medical facility that takes care of military personnel and their families is so incredibly incompetent. My niece is there right now. She had gallbladder surgery yesterday and woke up this morning in serious pain and bleeding. Naturally she went to the hospital where they pretty much dismissed her. The nurse who changed her dressing did so WITHOUT gloves on. While it was full of blood. Put on your mask, no support people can come in with you..but let me take off my gloves. She wound up back in the ER not even an hour later. You mean to tell.me there is no GI person who can see her??

This place is a joke there is a male nurse or practioner who hate his job is always rude. They lack empathy and bed side maner. My most recent frustration is my 8 year old son waiting 3 hours to be seen after falling from a slide and hitting his head after calling to speak with the nurse supervisor pretty much told he is alert now he is ok. So I asked then I take him home and he says I would advise against that. Then saying they will see him when they see him it is almost midnight . Trust me try urgent care every time before having to go to samaritan. Unfortunately urgent care wasn't equipped to treat him so he is sitting suffering cold tired and in pain if he wasn't hurting he would be asleep. But that tells you he is awake and unable to sleep for a reason .

Honestly, the worst experience of my life. I came in with severe nerve pain needing an IV antibiotic immediately. I saw the nurses and right before I went to fill paperwork with one, she yelled at the whole ER I hate this place I hope it burns to the ground . Once she placed me in the waiting room, they saw 2 patients after me. I quietly asked her what the ETA for help was, and told her I was in severe nerve pain, and she yelled so?? To the entire room. Myself and the other patients were surprised and silent, then I asked her if I could just get an ETA and she yelled back that staff doesn t get there until 11am (9am now) and that she didn t care. My colleagues are in nursing and ER so I understand the frustration, but the cussing out and hostility directly to my question was unnecessary.

By far the worst place I have experienced. And it s the same every time I ve had to come. Once I came in with appendicitis and I wasnt diagnosed or properly seen for over 6 hours. Finally had surgery over 12 hours after first arriving in severe pain doubled over. Then had randomly complications from a SIMPLE surgery. Had mysterious bruising afterwards. My eyes turned YELLO and have splotches of red and Fever after surgery to which the guy on staff glanced at my eyes from over 4 feet away and said oh it s fine . Then sent me home with NO explanation whatsoever. The staff is very rude, don t communicate to you at all, lack manners and simply don t seem to care about their job. If you just seem like an inconvenience to the staff, then there is a problem. The wait is ALWAYS long no matter what you are here for. So if you are dying, go ANYWHERE but here. I would give a 0 if there was the option.

It is such a pleasure to publish, to these pages, a very positive 5-Star review for Samaritan Medical Center. The entire emergency room team, as in place at 2:30 AM; September 6, 2021 and headed by Dr. David J. Flint, were incredibly empathetic, highly efficient....just plain damned good at what they do. If only the entire team could be mine to keep....{sigh}. Thank you all sooooo much. Bill
