Tour ruined by the rude, bad attitude of the guide Clemens who unnecessarily had an over the top angry outburst because some of our group dared to go to the bathroom at the end of the tour. Completely uncalled for. Not worth the money, and not how to welcome visitors to your city.

Go for their guided tour which is covered by the SalzburgCard. I had the opportunity to be led by a highly knowledgeable guide who knew just about everything we threw at him. Also helped by the fact that the group was enthusiastic so the banter grew into something lively and highly engaging.

Big expectations, big disappointment. Yesterday I was in the world famous concert hall for the first time and was a little confused. The house was nowhere near the reputation. I think that big productions like those played here deserve a nicer ambience. Sher conservative ... rather outdated, boring. The chairs are uncomfortable, the furnishings are worn, the acoustics are mediocre. Many less famous concert halls are more beautiful, more interesting and have better acoustics.

As someone already said before you should do the guided tour if you have the Salzburg Card. The guide is very knowledgeable and you can sense that he is really into it. The history of the place is long, very interesting and needs to be understood for understanding Salzburg.

The festival itself is extremely expensive, but there is a reason for that. You get what you pay for. The scene, the singers, the Orchestra, the whole setup and every little detail is perfection. If you can easily afford the ticket I would say its worth it.

Great concert today,

Great concert today,

the break foyer is actually an unreasonable demand regarding the noise level.
In winter, therefore, you do not know where to stay during the break.
In summer you can at least go outside.
Too bad !!

Very easy journey and no problem with the cloakroom! Generally there were no problems with tickets show or praise goes out to the organizers! After the event, it went just as smoothly. It was simply coming out of the festival hall. Also big praise to the whole Adventssinger! I was there for the first time and I liked it very much. It's worth it!

About Salzburger Festspiele

Salzburger Festspiele: A Celebration of Art and Culture

Salzburger Festspiele is a world-renowned festival that celebrates the arts and culture in Salzburg, Austria. The festival has been held annually since 1920, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious cultural events in Europe. It attracts visitors from all over the world who come to experience the magic of opera, theater, and concerts.

The Salzburger Festspiele takes place during the summer months from July to August and during Pentecost in May or June. The festival features a wide range of performances including operas, plays, orchestral concerts, chamber music recitals, ballets, and more. Each year's program is carefully curated to showcase some of the best artists from around the world.

One of the highlights of Salzburger Festspiele is its stunning venues. The festival takes place at various locations throughout Salzburg including historic theaters like Grosses Festspielhaus (Great Festival Hall), Haus für Mozart (House for Mozart), Felsenreitschule (Rock Riding School), as well as other unique venues such as Stiegl Brauwelt (Stiegl Brewery World) or Hangar-7.

The history behind Salzburger Festspiele dates back to 1917 when Max Reinhardt - an Austrian-born theater director - had a vision for creating a cultural event that would bring together artists from different disciplines under one roof. He teamed up with Hugo von Hofmannsthal - an Austrian writer - to make this vision come true.

Their first collaboration was "Jedermann" ("Everyman"), which premiered on August 22nd in 1920 on Domplatz (Cathedral Square). This play became an instant success and laid down the foundation for what would become known as "Salzburger Festspiele."

Since then, Salzburger Festspiele has grown into one of Europe's most important cultural events attracting thousands of visitors each year. It has also become a platform for emerging artists who get an opportunity to showcase their talent alongside established performers.

In addition to its artistic program, Salzburger Festspiele also offers various educational programs such as workshops for children or young adults interested in pursuing careers in performing arts or music industry professionals looking to expand their knowledge base.

If you're planning on attending this year's edition of Salzburger Festspiele be sure not miss out on some must-see performances like Richard Strauss' "Elektra," Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata," Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Don Giovanni," among others.

Tickets are now available online through their official website salzburgfestival.at where you can find detailed information about each performance along with ticket prices and availability.

In conclusion, if you're looking for an unforgettable experience filled with artistry at its finest then look no further than Salzurger Festival!
