The office is located on the beautiful Blackburn Lake Nature Reserve. It was first developed as a farm, then an organic golf course. Then with the help of community donors, it was purchased and its ecologically valuable wetlands restored and protected. They have great educational events, but you can simply go to the reserve to enjoy the trails and wildlife. No dogs, horses, vehicles like ATVs, fires or camping due to the ecological sensitivity of the land.

If you like to have the support of the SSI community, you will have to engage them, create access to the protected areas and educate. This is not happening enough over the last 5 years, resulting in a large drop in community support.
