Very nice ambiance, warm and welcoming staff! Complimentary coffee & biscotti was nice to have while reading several of their many brochures and magazines on Utah!! Hannah was extremely helpful and friendly to bring us a map of Utah and highlight areas in the state to visit! She made the start of our vacation! Thanks so much Hannah!

A colleague and I stopped by to inquire about maps, train routes, and attractions in SLC for an upcoming conference in the city. The attendant was extremely helpful and gave us boxes of maps, schedules and the like for attendees. All for free! Very helpful!

The staff working at the visitor center here are awesome. First off, know that this is located next to the salt palace entrance, along the street (to the right of the sign art exhibit). There is parking at the Marriott across the street, but you may have to pay. The next parking entrance, just after the Marriott is for the mall and is free, you just go out through the Nordstrom s after u park and then cross the street. Not a lot of brochures out to look through, but the staff are happy to go over places or activities once you tell them what your interests are. The gentleman working there has traveled and camped all over, he is extremely knowledgeable of places to go and what to expect. They do have brochures in the back and will get them for you based on what your interested in.

My family played in the water at the Great Salt Lake Marina and it was an amazing view looking north. At our view, the lake looked like an ocean (you could only see water for as far as your eye could see), which is super unique for the something like this in the middle of the Rocky Mountains.

I've been to Salt Palace a few times and finally decided to buy some souvenirs. Cute little trinkets appropriately priced for my taste (kids). Incredibly friendly staff.
Why didn't I stop in here before?!?!

Very disappointed that the staff, who are otherwise friendly people, would be recommending such an AWFUL company for sightseeing tours to their visitors. US Bus Utah hop-off company is terrible and it is a reflection on you when you endorse such a terrible service.
