I was 12 years old. I was brought here after my first over dose.. I didn't feel supported at all. That was over 3 or 4 years ago. U guys made me feel terrible. The nurse made fun of the kids behind the desk and so did the techs. I did not feel welcomed. There was a pest issue. A bat came from the vents on my first day. There were very few people who actually cared. U guys need to not take it out on the mentally unstable kids when you are upset.. it makes it worse. DO. BETTER.

I would normally give this place 5 stars for their ethics, but Dr. Harrigan is refusing to fill out vital forms required for me to return to work. Please help me keep my job of 10 years and fill out FMLA forms so I can return to work. Don't be silly. That's not okay. Its called family AND MEDICAL LEAVE ACT. It's part of the ADA. And your discriminating by refusing to fill out forms. I qualify for short term disability too. Sorry you feel this way but it's your job.

These doctors are the best in the city. I love them. They cured my mental illness with the power of yoga and good books and breathing exercises. Support animals came in once a week and some talented people would sing and dance.

It's a hard job, and all the ladies and gents here are too notch blokes.

I had the greatest awakening during my 30 day in-patient treatment at Courage to Change to address my addiction and a life changing experience during my 30 day in-patient treatment at Strong Hope for my trauma.

The entire staff between both units/programs were exceptional, professional and incredible.

I have nothing but praise for the mission of SLBH and the programs I mentioned. Thank you for giving me the tools equipping me to deal with life and setting me up for success with my new life.

I've learned in the programs that it all begins with a thought, a thought that I am powerless, I need help and have the willingness to work it because I'm worth it, my wife is worth and my children are worth it.

Thank you again.

I self admitted to prevent self harm. If you are like me and are reading these Google Reviews on the way over in an Ambulance or if you have a loved one who is being admitted and you are reading Reviews please rest assured the facilities are clean the people are caring and if the patient can determine that they are going to do their best to heal they will have every opportunity to begin their healing. I do want to highlight a few people who cared for me that stood out for their kindness. Nurses Tod, Shannon and Tim were very kind and showed so much respect and helpfulness. I cannot say enough about the PA Jean oh my she is a wonderful and kind human being and in this setting she is the right mix of Advocate and badass combined, she is amazing and epitomizes the best parts of patient care. My personal lifelong hero is Nurse Shelby she demonstrates the type of courage that comes deep from within someone who instinctively knows what is good for someone by experience and a focus on human empathy. Thank you all for your kindness, care and the chance to survive to see my grandson who told me when I got home thank you grandpa for admitting yourself so you could spend more time with me .

I spent five days at SLBH because of a need to get out of my surroundings and emotionally stabilize in a peaceful place. My stay there helped me so much. The nurses and the techs truly care about the patients and their wellbeing. The techs especially are so hardworking and really care about you as a person. The other patients were great people to spend time with, too.
