We stayed here in September, 2013 for our anniversary. Our overall experience was that this is just a big "cheesy" hype to get you in the door and pay a gregarious amount of money for a room next a water fall.

Before I dive deep into this establishment, you should note, there is not ONE room that has a view of the water falls. Despite what they tell you, the best view you could ever get is the teeny top of the falls running over the edge. It looks like a little river running over rocks. The best view is from the observation platform 100 yards away.

Think about it, look at pictures of the Lodge, it's sitting on TOP of the falls, therefore the only view you could ever get is the very teeny topsy top of the falls.
Don't go into this thinking you will be all romantic snuggled watching a waterfall, you will be leaving 1-star reviews like us! Also, don't expect anybody to make you feel special, nobody has any clue what's going on much less wants to wish you a "Happy Anniversary."

Here is the breakdown:
Valet/Parking:
5 Star, fast, attentive and all around good people.

Front-Desk Staff:
1 Star, they couldn't know their left from their right. Check-in is at 4PM, and god-forbid you show up a few minutes early. This gentleman at the front was so snooty that we were there just a few minutes before 4PM. Our bad?

Food:
1 Star, AVOID. Overpriced, it was cheesy, it tasted like somebody heated something frozen up in the back. The steak was burnt black and cold blue in the middle, that's medium rare? Our waiter looked like a dishwasher and couldn't speak English. Since it was our anniversary...I just wasn't in the mood to argue with everybody. We ordered a package from Salish, big mistake. Our waiter had no idea what we were "owed" and we ended up going off-course quite a bit. DON"T buy the packages. If you go, just do your own thing.

Room:
2 Star, the room itself is great! Fireplace, spacious, cozy, but we paid extra for the premium "View" room. Do you want to know what the view consisted of? Puget Sound Energy equipment....ROMANTIC!!!!!! So glad we paid extra for that!! I would leave negative stars just for that fact alone. Remember: No rooms at the Salish Lodge have a good view!

Moral of the story, it's a big cheesy mistake. But if we ever go back, which I doubt we will, stay in any room, the cheapest room you can find. Go to the "attic" for dinner, they have better service and food.

But best yet, just go and look at the falls, it's free and go on your merry way to another place to stay.

**UPDATE**
The Salish Lodge just overcharged me by $200....as if this nightmare could ever be over!

Good.

Perfect place for a weekend away from the city. Super relaxing spa and pools. Love the food for breakfast or dinner in the main restaurant. The rooms are cozy and luxurious. They've been recently renovated and all have gas fireplaces. The only time I've ever been unimpressed was 1 meal we got at The Attic ( the smaller restaurant upstairs) which was just ok. Fun to walk around and look at the falls in the morning. We love going here!

This place is just as magical now, as it was back in the 70s under the name Snoqualmie Falls Lodge. You can't beat the view from the dining room while enjoying a quite memorable breakfast.

The Salish has a lot going for it. The location and views and the intrinsic charm of Snoqualmie and North Bend are truly something special. However, for $400 per night this hotel fails to impress. The room we stayed in was outdated and showing lots of wear. The wallpaper was peeling, the furniture looked like a scratch and dent option, the bathtub faucet leaked, and the mattress sagged. The TV was also really small by today's standards (probably about 27 inches). The bigger issues were basic housekeeping woes upon first entering our room: standing water in the bathtub (closed drain), significant stains on the shower curtains, pistachio nut shells sitting on an end table, black hair on white sheets (not ours), and a generally sticky TV remote.

This place has the distinct advantage of being located in one of the prettiest areas around. There is a ton of hiking trails in this region, and that s primarily what we did while we were there. But, when we went home, it was really nice to be able to turn on the gas fireplace in our room with the flick of a switch. The shower was super spacious in our room, with two shower heads. The on-site restaurant was nice, but sometimes felt a bit pricey for what you got. They have their own bee hives and we liked the honey they make from them. We used the spa one day, and it was comfortable. We liked it, but a little on the small side (It can fill up). Overall, we liked this place and loved getting out in nature every day. Being situated right next to the Snoqualmie Falls is a great perk, too. Just keep in mind that there is a lot of traffic coming in and out for the falls and guests should go left in the parking lot to access the guest only valet parking.

We did not stay at the lodge but it's a great day trip to check out the falls, little nature trailing, followed by some great food, and a little pampering. They offer many spa packages and the atmosphere is just pure mountain spa luxury. They also have an adorable gift shop.

I did not stay at the hotel, but made a day trip to see "The Great Northern." I was pleasantly surprised that there was a generous nod to Twin Peaks, but without being too hokey or in-your-face. It is a gorgeous building, with amazing views. I hope I have reason to be a guest one day!

The room was nice and we had view of the falls. However, room next to us had dogs that kept barking all morning from around 5 am.... brought this up to the representative at the front desk when checking out and he did not acknowledge our complain and was so rude didn t even talk to us throughout the whole transaction. Food at the Attic was great, however for us, it s all about excellent customer service and the Salish lacked it... Super disappointed since it sits in such a gorgeous location.

The. Best. Ever. Fantastic food, fantastic personnel and a lovely suite. The smell of pine is overwhelming at first bit after leaving the place I feel all nostalgic after sensing the smell. Oh, the nature is really beautiful as well. Double check the bus routes though since the signs are wrong at some stops.

Valet porter Michael was EXTREMELY rude and aggressive. There are 2 feet of snow on the ground and my daughter and I needed a safe place to turn around, so we went to use the roundabout. There was a Nissan sedan running in the roundabout that he refused to move forward for us to get around. When we said we weren't staying at the hotel he told us to "get off his property" and that we would have to back out. When I commented on his attitude he went ballistic. I can't even post here what he said it was so foul. In 20 years in the valley I've never dealt with such an awful attitude. After backing out there was a car leaving the hotel that was stuck, and their wonderful valet was nowhere to be found. We ended up helping the car get out of their lot. Another hotel employee came out by herself with shovels to help. If you plan on staying at the lodge, I'd take the time to park your own car. Don't bother the valet.

We alway have a great time when we visit and it s a must for when friend and family visit, the hike to the bottom of the falls is beautiful and the restaurant up top always has good although pricey food .

Ate at the attic. Seated at the window and had spectacular views of waterfalls. This was late summer and I bet the falls are even coolerin the late spring. Service was great. No issues. Food, while good, seemed a little pedestrian compared to the view. We enjoyed duck nachos; the plate was big enough to feed 2 people. Also hada chicken caesar salad which was not special at all. Cocktails were delicious. My favorite was Dan Cooper. I think that's the name. Overall I would recommend coming for a drink or 2 and the view.

Service was very good. I booked the restaurant for brunch for two to see the view of the river and waterfall. We did not get seated by a window, but the view was obscured anyway due to thick fog. Table service was very good; the food was average for the price.

Love the bath and wood burning fireplace, plus good food and service in a great setting. Firewood was a bit wet but you could muscle through it with the duraflames provided, and the bath tub was missing a gasket on the drain plug, which caused it to slowly drain. All in all though, had a great visit.

We rolled up in a Hyundai to the valet service. They treated us like we walked out of a Lamborghini. Every door was opened for us, every question was answered with a yes. The Attic was tasty for dinner. Gorgeous views. The room was lush and comfortable. Would live there if I could afford it!

The most beautiful setting of any place I have ever stayed. Everything about this place is perfect. The service, the amenities, the immaculate rooms, the dining experience. The Salish Lodge will become the place I compare to anywhere I will ever stay again. If you haven't allowed yourself a five star lodging experience yet, make this the place to start.

Horrible quality rooms definitely not what I would define as luxury. We chose this resort for our first anniversary and we were extremely disappointed. To begin our room with a "view" was a view of the most gastly river dam with hideous equipment and still water. Also our bed was disheveled and looked as if it had been rolled around in upon arrival, we were actually not even wanting to sleep in it. The trash still had garbage in it, and our balcony door had a huge gastly tear . While the surrounding area was breathtaking the resort itself was lackluster and made our first anniversary experience not as magical as it should be. The guest office did offer us a bottle of brut but it in no way made up for the poor quality especially seeing that the price of the room itself was so high. Also it seemed as if the front desk guest swrvice was annoyed that they wvwn had to deal with us. Not cool:(.... If I could chose again I would have just rented a room elsewhere and just visited the falls on my own. I wish I could give this resort zero stars.

UPDATE 9.27.19: Well, I don't know how it's possible, but somehow our stay was even more amazing this year than last. The renovated rooms now have a huge walk in shower with two opposing shower heads. The spa was amazing as always (I recommend the heated river rock massage). And if you eat at the attic and don't eat the dungeones crab mac and cheese then I don't know what to say to you. Staff was friendly as ever. Already looking forward to next year!

Our favorite place nearby to stay for our anniversary. Amazing setting, very friendly staff and the definition of being pampered. Nice rooms as well. The spa is the perfect cherry on top.

We had some bumps in the road but managment was very gracious and has reached out so our rating is five stars based on the truly outstanding property this is - though our weekend was less than 5 stars

Beautiful. Right at the water fall. Expensive. Great robes.

Nice restaurant. Salmon hash is super salty. Prices are commiserate for the location. Gift shop is small but nice.

Valet parking is mandatory, but free.

Views are stunning. Rooms are luxurious. You'll pay to enjoy it from the lodge.
