Salem Oak Vineyards Review

Salem Oak Vineyards recently hosted my sister's surprise birthday party and I cannot say enough great things about them. The space is beautiful and quiet, tucked away in a charming little south jersey town. The customer service is unmatched and the food and wine are to die for. They made planning this party so easy and I can't wait to go back and enjoy a little night out at this diamond in the rough!

Good wine, friendly staff, and the owner took time to chat with us.

Wines are good with a nice mix of reds and white. Some new releases are on the way and look like they could be pretty good. Friendly staff and plenty of indoor and out door seating. Food menu could use a little reworking

Great atmosphere, fantastic wine selection, plenty of room for all size parties or even if you're with you're loved one! Service is outstanding. Jack Flash red wine is smooth & palatable. A hidden jewel of Pilesgrove and a must for wine enthusiasts.

Their wine is delicious! So far my favorite is the Triple Twin! Their staff is knowledgable and personable! Highly recommend!

Just another random thing to do. The scenery was a little bit ok.

Today my wife and I found a diamond in the rough. Stopped in for lunch and our experience was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious. I will recommend this place to everybody.

Excellent and friendly service, awesome wine flights, feels like home and if you get there on a sunny day its perfect Do yourself a favor and go, they have live music Sat nights & you can reserve a fire pit for those chilly evenings. Totally date worthy!

This winery is a state of the art facility with a character to match its small town charm. The owner Mandi picks her employees well as they deliver a level of customer service that cannot be surpassed. From the laughs during the tasting to the lively discussion after, I have never witnessed a business that genuinely puts the customers first and I always know I am getting the same quality service time in and time out. To top it off, Salem Oak Vineyard's Award winning wines put this establish on the top of my weekend to-do list every week. You can count on my family (yes they are kid-friendly) and I returning every weekend to see the positive energy both the staff and the wines bring to the Garden State.

Went here as part of a large group and it was great! The atmosphere is welcoming and the owner Mandi was so friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Will definitely be back!

Tasting room nice. Seating at tables and bar. Tasting of 7 wines for $10. Cannot bring your own food but they had quite a number of food choices on their menu. We tried the chips covered in pulled pork and the two different 3 cheese ravioli selections. One topped with pulled pork and covered with a bourbon sauce the other covered with bruschetta and mascapone cheese. All foods we tried were good. I'll come back here. Fun place.

My husband and I visited the winery during our tour of many wineries for our 30th wedding anniversary. Salem Oak was our favorite! Such a beautiful atmosphere with Mandi, Jack Chris and all the family and employees so warm and welcoming. MANDI'S knowledge of the grapes, her enthusiasm, and her sharing of blending were a true highlight. We will continue to remember Salem Oak as we delight in the bottles that we brought home, and definitely will return!

Wonderful Winery! A great little find. Had an issue with an unstable bottle of wine. They were so wonderful and apologetic. Quick response, compensated beyond what the needed to do at all. Definitely on my list of favorite spots!!

Salem Oak Winery is a hidden gem! My mother and I stumbled across this beautiful place on a Saturday afternoon. Both Julia and her mom, Mandi greeted us and sat and shared stories like we were family. We ended up staying for a delicious dinner and invited more of our family to join us. The environment was warm and charming, and the wines were AMAZING. Ask to pair some of the wines with the delicious chocolates made on premise, or homemade foods! I now make sure my collection of Salem Oak wines is stacked, but that s a hard thing to do since everyone loves it! Be sure to check it out!

Salem Oak Vineyards is a rare jewel in the Salem County region. The wine is superb, and the owner and staff are incredibly knowledgable and friendly. My husband and I discovered this place last Valentine's weekend and it has become our favorite place. We even had my 40th birthday there! Enjoy!

My experience of this place was not a happy one. There were several aspects of this visit that led to this review. My fiance, and I and a couple of friends used a Groupon for the wine tasting and were excited to go. We only got to choose 7 wines to taste, which makes no sense at all. And the tastings were served in plastic shot cups! I mean really?! Have some class. The wines were okay at best. The real kicker was we got a $25 platter(the "Super Salem") that was supposed to have meats, cheeses, fruit, and hummus. The platter came out looking Like a 5 year old threw it together. Hormel pepperoni, 1 slice of Genoa salami that was cut up!?! TF? I would be ashamed to present that to any customer. Was not even worth $10. Not coming back here. What a disgrace.

Such a wonderful place. Didnt try any wine, just the sangria. We had Steven as our server. He was very pleasant, and helpful. He has an awesome personality and is a very fun loving person, which made our visit so much better.

Excellent wine, great service... perfect finger foods to accompany the wine and even some easy listening music to make it all complete!!! The only thing that would've made it more perfect is just a couple more clouds we will definitely be back!

Great place to host a wine tasting. Mandi is the perfect hostess with a vast knowledge of her product. She explains the process from vine to glass.

You really need to post on your website when u r closed for weddings or private events. I drove 30 minutes to your winery to find out there was a wedding and could not be seated due to a private event!

A plethora of wines from sweet to dry...all good. Charming host/owner Mandy mad us feel like family within minutes. Plus, interesting stories about the wines she and her daughter sell. Not to mention tasty food to add to your visit. Prepare to spend some time here for the full visit. It's surely worth it...outside seating is available.

Chilled atmosphere with a relaxed vibe, delicious seasonal menu with family recipes and excellent local musicians on the weekends. This family operated establishment is an authentic boutique winery, that you can t find just anywhere. I will definitely be back to this hidden gem.

They have several signs outside saying ALWAYS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. We arrived today and walk in to a sobbing woman giving a speech and then we're rudely told that they are closed for a private event. We are mortified! They could have put a sign out and we wouldn't have embarrassed ourselves and interrupted an event.

The owner is super friendly and very accommodating. We had a large group and she had our food setup and ready when we arrived. They have a nice selection of wines.

We have visited many wineries over the years, and look for two things. First, of course, the wine has to be good, and secondly we expect a welcoming atmosphere. Salem Oak Vineyards nails it on both of our expectations.

We have visited Salem Oak numerous times and without fail their wine is excellent. There is thought and creativity into it's making. Also, there is a nice variety to please any palate. Our favorites are the Christopher Andrew Chambourcin red, the Olivia rose, and the Aida Louise Chardonnay.

Very important to us is a sense of welcome. Ever since our first visit we have been made to feel at home. The staff, without exception, is friendly, knowledgeable about the wine, and helpful. We have been made to feel as if were family. It might sound corny, but it is true. Salem Oak is just a very comfortable place. This is true whether you are just going for a glass of wine, or for their entertainment, and dinner. Mandi, the owner, and her daughter Julia, and son Matt, along with everyone else are fantastic.

We highly recommend Salem Oak Vineyards. Do yourself a favor and visit.

Great place for a glass or bottle. Red wine is great. Can't wait for the Merlot's Merlot...my favorite.

Wife and I stopped in last minute on a kid free Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere with live music, friendly service and excellent food was the cherry on top for us. The wine is delectable. We recommend this gem to anyone travelling through or living close by! Thank you Salem Oak Vineyards for making our date night unforgettable!

Salem Oaks Vinyards is a hidden gem. Mandy the owner and her lovely twins are the definition of hospitality. Very friendly. They put alot of heart into their wine. My favorite is Jake and amazing full bodied red wine. So good. If you like white Julia is excellent. There is something there for everyone. Excellent quality and award winning wines with an inspirational story behind each wine. There food menue is original, hearty soulful dishes. We have been there several times, each time the experience was beyond our expectations.

Way cool winery,friendly knowledgeable staff,great wine list,small bite foods,salad,pizza,cheese,slushies, really a nice set up and the entertainment Rhondo rocked the packed crowd, open till 9 so you still have time to carry on after you leave,will be back well done Salem Oak
