I was at the transit waiting for my bus and noticed there weren't any employees cleaning out the buses anymore disinfect wise. Y'all did it for what a month and gave up. "Covid-19" is killing people.

Never on time always way way early or late. Drivers act like its your fault when they dont stop after signaling for your stop. Keep raising fares and stripping services offered. Better hope the driver is paying attention and doesnt drive past you.

I am a 17 year old boy who has rode Cherriots countless times, this experience was the only one bad enough to warrant a poor review. I looked up the bus schedule, and patiently waited at my stop for close to an hour (about 54 minutes to be exact) just for the bus to arrive. When the bus arrived, the bus driver made eye contact and just continued driving. I'm not sure why this happened, but I will not be riding a single Cherriot anytime soon.

Purchased a bus pass for a relative. Lady helping was a little impatient, but overall got what I needed very quickly

i dont look forword rideing the bus anymore i am in a wheelchair and i was on the bus oneday and the bus driver slam on his breaks and i come flying out of my chair and they called 911 and they put me back in my chair the supervisor didnt ask me if i was hurt and he drove the bus back downtown and me and my husband had to walk to the hospital. and i hurt my back and right arm. when i went home the person head of the superisor and they would olny pay for five chirpactor treatments. and all i got was a very small settlement. the bus has shoulder traps for us who are in wheelchairs and it is pretty sad that all the bus drivers dont know how to use the shoulder straps. my husband stands in front of me now when we ride the bus. i am still hurting because of falling on the bus. they even slam on there breaks now and if my husband was not standing in front of me the other day i would of come out of my chair. the whole bus system stinks

Haven't had any issues. Very efficient service, lots of friendly people ride. Very easy to get from one side of town to another.

Not really a serious bus service, they start too late in the morning to get to work, don't run weekends and changing a bus to get anywhere adds an hour to a journey. My trip to work in a car takes less than 30 mins, by bus it takes up to 1 hour 30 mins. I really want to be able to take the bus.

I love city bus transport. My favorite bus color is green. Too bad they don t have any green cherriot busses in my area. I also love red. And blue too. All busses are fantastic. The people are very nice. Sometimes they smell like wet dog but damn... All busses are amazing!!!

I'm here every week days. Would be on weekends to if they ran on weekends.

Could be better. Bus rarely run on time and they only run 5 days a week.

They are amazing.. Lots of love and hard work goes into what they do on a daily basis. They have been there for me & my family for more than 10 yrs. I love them all (customer service too)!!!

Very rude bus drivers. i was on bus 11 today and this special needs person got on and asked how much for a day pass and the bus drive replied very rude and giving him mean facial expression while telling him the price

Good beginning mass transit system, but needs to modernize their fare processing and transfer between other mass transit systems.

One would think that this would be the one thing that the city council couldn't screw up

The bus driver to drive to Dallas and back is a great guy. He stopped when I was running to the bus in Dallas to pick me up when I wasn't at the bus stop but he noticed I wanted to be in the bus. I also almost forgot my water bottle in the bus when I left but he yelled for me and gave it back. Cherriots has great employees! Thank you for all you do!

Wish busses ran on weekend's (and holiday's) and later in the day, but when they are going it's easy to get around and bus drivers are nice.

I've used the services on and off for 5 years and it's one of the worst I've experienced in my life. I was shocked to find that there's no weekend service. Don't they realize people still work and have places to go on the weekends? And the CARTS bus is even worse. Very limited schedule, small cramped buses, and the occasional rude driver. I never look forward to going out and having to take public transportation. It's anxiety inducing.

Worst public transit system I have ever seen for a capital city of this size. I actually witnessed a driver abusing an elderly disabled man. The drivers are not at fault generally for the horrible service. The people in their ivory towers are incompetent waste and spenders. Would give 0stars if I could.

Excellent bus system. Only faults are no night or weekend service. All buses are A.D.A. compliant with wheelchair ramps. Day passes and monthly passes available.

Bus are on time and clean mostly with lots of different routes. Not the best cover for bus stops when we have bad weather

The bus drivers are knowledgeable about the routes they drive.

The drivers are awesome as well as the transit mall staff. I just wish they kept the bathrooms open until nine pm. Almost had a major problem one night and one of the drivers understood my need and helped me out. So thankful they are back running on Saturday and looking forward to Sunday service.

I write cherriots all the time and I really enjoy it. It may take a little longer to get places, but if you don't have a car it's worth it what cheaper than driving a car and have to pay for your insurance and everything

Most of the time, the bus stops are too far for me to walk to.

People at main area should be kinder to people with disabilities.

One of the wheels fell off my Walker while I was at the transit mall on Thursday and two of the customer service staff inside at the information desk helped me repair it so that I could use the Walker to get back home thank you very much for your marvelous service.
I asked them if they had any washers so that we can repair it they found what we needed and they got me back up on four wheels so that I could maneuver and be mobile again.

Buses are always clean drivers are always cannot wait for Saturday service to start

I dont know if they dont realize that when they dont leave on time they make people late for work. The bus is the only way i make it to work and when you have to choose between them being prompt and on time with their departure instead of standing there and chatting with other driver's or standing in the rain for 20 minutes waiting to go into work if you have to take an earlier bus makes for a bad experience. The drivers are always pissed off and definately don't wait for you to sit down to leave so you're just about falling over trying to sit down. Its just rude, this company doesn't ensure compassion or common courtesy for the PAYING CUSTOMERS. Without us there wouldn't be a company to make money off of.

Most of the drivers are super nice, helpful, and careing! I personally have known a few of the drivers for 10,15, and on for close to 20 years and they still remember my kids when they were babies, one is now a adult, one is close to adulating, ones a teen! And they remember their names, ages, and how they were when little! That is amazing! When you rude these buss fir a long time they remember what you talk about, what's going on with you, and how things are. And yea you routes, . That shows they care and have wonderful personal skills and customer service and memory! Its nice when at least one person remembers that you are struggling and they say and show they care by asking how your doing and taking the time to care and listen. Personally speaking sometimes the only person/oeople to show me any kindness have been my bus drivers. They remember what I'm going through and ask about my progress and cheer me on when I do well and get me back on track if I wander. They go above and beyond just picking you up and taking you where you need to go. Thank you hiring boss for hiring these amazing drivers and thank you drivers for showing me kindness and careing.

The bus system in salem isnt bad at all. Living clear in Dallas has shown me to appreciate things like a city bus. I enjoy being able to jump on a bus & get just about anywhere. Although my one complaint would be needing a stop closer to Bonventure off of Kuebuler rd. I freaking hate how far it is to walk to the nearest stop.

I think the drivers are professional and practice good customer service. Knowledgeable about the routes and other routes if you have questions.
I look forward to Cherriots continuing to grow. Also, I've enjoyed some good conversations with patrons and even made some friends on Cherriots.

They are OK. They could be better if they run on weekends like the use to which they need to do and do have the money for

Drove for 26 years service has gotten less since 2000. Would suggest a different way of supporting or funding service. Anything other than property tax.

People are nice once youre inside but wouldnt reccomend being outside if you dont like fighting.

Drivers are real nice & safe drivers. The downside is the transit has a lot of homeless hanging outside are extremely disruptive

Probably the second or third best transit system in oregon, The buses are clean, seats are comfortable and the buses look awsome. But the system does have some downs some that are on my part and some that other like to complain about this system.. anyways here are the problems this system has. There is no weekend service and that sucks because me and my brother like to do most of our trips on the weekends. But also i think MOST of the cherriots drivers are good.. but i have been with a few bad ones.. one were i wanted to put in my pass a different way he didn't want and because of that he rudely forced me to put it in the other way.. and this other bus driver was even worse.. yesterday me and my brother went on the new route 19 bus to river Rd.. and the bus driver kept slamming the brakes making my brother want to throw up, not only that everytime when someone needed to get off of the bus the driver would forget to stop the bus and someone or one of us have to tell him to stop the bus and to top it off.. he ran 2 red lights.. wow right? but unfortunately we had to ride with this is guy on the route 11 bus back home .. but bad stuff behind its really rare to have a bad bus driver with this system... i give it 4 stars out of 5. :)

You need to train your driver's better. They would not let me on because I had food in bags in my hand never been an issue before. Then they close the doors as I'm half way in them. Hitting me and the food.

Worst public transportation iv ever seen. They don't run after 9pm and no service on weekends.

For the last 4 years I have ridden the bus and I has lots of different buses that go in different areas of Salem, Keizer,West Salem, South Salem, and Northeast Salem.
Hopefully soon cherriots will have Saturday buses. I love riding the bus to school. No one bothers you as your riding. Thank you

Relatively good service but it would be nice if they were still operational on the weekends. People go places on Saturday and Sunday too.

so what a horrible company they spend more time worrying about the who the riders are than what the riders need! the website is atrocious and should focus on the bus lines times and connections not just "what the lines look like on a map. time to redo the budget and pay the right people not the wrong ones!

They dont take Oregon trail EBT cards to buy a bus pass but they do have an ATM you can use to withdraw the cash from. Select the debit transaction option.

NO service on weekends. customer service is slow and employees don't seem to understand there own bus routes. web page is down, buses run late. Just to bad this is the only bus option for this town.

I was at a bus stop, walked in the pouring rain, even waved so I'd be visible, and the driver ignored me.

Would be more helpful if bus drivers knew more about landmarks and business..If bus fair could be a little less for a days pass would also be more helpful for seniors and disability..Thankful for Cherriots Services

If I hear one more of their yellow vest helpers tell me they can't help someone because their getting off work in a half hour, I'm going to scream. Disgusting.
On top of this being one of the worst transit systems...
