I had a frustrating experience. The scheduling process was convoluted, leading to long wait times and confusion. While the staff is friendly, the organization of appointments seems chaotic, which detracts from the overall experience. Communication could use improvement, as I found it difficult to get clear information when needed. Overall, it leaves much to be desired.

This Clinic is probably one of the most unprofessional clinics that I've ever had the displeasure of walking into and dealing with. My children and my wife are regular patients at this clinic or they were until now. I brought my daughter and myself into there " Urgent Care. A standard practice we were greeted at the door by someone wearing a rub claiming to be some sort of medical professional. Explained that we were there for Urgent Care to tend to my minor injuries and infection. The admitting person went to the screening and because of a drop in temperature outside causing a runny nose we got classified as a potential covid and sent over to the screening nurse who then got into an argument with two of her co-workers right in front of us. She was very attentive about being the only certified medical personnel to be able to use some piece of equipment. She seemed more eager to try and go use the equipment than she was to take care of us the patients. But again for her screening and asking us questions and trying to push an answer out of my daughter that wasn't there she then tells us that Salem Clinic cannot provide the Urgent Care and we had to go somewhere else. After this experience and the general unprofessionalism of their office as a whole I will be pulling my family from their care
Staff is always friendly and professional. Yes, sometimes wait times are long but worth it for the quality of care. My entire family goes to this clinic, including extended family due to the high standards of care that is provided. Dr. Graven is the best doctor, who really listens and is impartial when it comes to respecting wishes with care. They are great also about fitting in emergency appointments and treat you like family.
They said I owed them money from 2008 in the amount of $150.00.
They said they had to send it to collections 2 TIMES so the amount I would have to pay before they MIGHT HAVE TO PAY BEFORE THEY MIGHT SEE ME WAS NOW $750.00.
What was strange was that in 2008 I was on the Oregon Health Plan so I NEVER got a bill from them and NEVER Heard from ANY collection agency for a payment AT ALL!!!!
I'm not sure why so many negative reviews? I had a very good experience. Came right when urgent care opened and was able to see a Doctor, get a couple x-rays and out within 1 1/2. Considering the amount of people also waiting to be seen. I'd say that's pretty good. I was treated very well and Doctor really seem to listen, everyone was super friendly and patient. Overall great experience.
I was turned into collection in hard times! I filled Bankruptcy on the amount owed. Years later I tried to come back as a patient. They said I would have to write a letter as to why this would not happen agian and pay 2 x the amount that was turned in. This is fraud at its finest if you ask me. I will be contacting a lawyer and asking how this is possible. What a joke this is our health care at its finest.
If I could give them a zero I would. I have now for 2 days been trying to get my medication. The pharmacy STILL hasn't recieved the one I need. I have played phone tag, called several times and even tried a different pharmacy to no avail. This absolute neglect for ones patient is unbelievably ridiculous. Thankfully my situation isn't completely dire, though I doubt that would even motivate any action either. I am just in a lot of pain and can't breathe.
Edit: Also when I mentioned to the Pharmacy worker that it should be coming from Salem Health, she sympathized and mentioned this is a pretty common occurrence with them. Which just goes to reassure myself that this is the awful standard they hold themselves to.
I go here and have never had a bad experience (except for long wait times at the lab). Everyone treated me with respect and kindness. I am on medicare/ disability, no problems. Dr. Cooley answered all my questions and spent time with me going over everything without seeming annoyed or hurried.
The wheelchairs they offer come in two sizes: small and xxl. Well, the larger wheel chair doesnt fit through the doorways so, what the heck!!!!!
Now...Down to the nitty gritty, they are here to help, they all are over-worked and understaffed so, be kind. Say please and thank you. Understand these steps and precautions have to be taken. Politely answer the virus questions and appreciate we have a place to go get medical assistance !!!
Unfortunately, my doc USED to listen. Now you have to spend months going through specialists to eliminate their interpretation. After 2 months I finally went out of pocket for second opinion and found out my liver was shutting down. After reaching out to my Salem clinic doctor. When I did reach out to my Salem clin doc waiting for specialist appointments because I was getting worse, he told me to go to hospital if I wanted further tests. I pay out of pocket now and am finally getting better. Just be aware Salem Clinic will send you to specialists which were appointments that were a month to a month in a half wait, while daily I was getting worse. Instead of seeing me and listening he said if you think your getting worse go to hospital. Last time I did that they referred me to my doc because my symptoms fit COVID symptoms, like every symptom now days. So doc says go to hospital and hospital says go to doc. Welcome to the new Salem clinic. My 2 specialists. One was a ENT that did plastic surgery as well. Once all my tests were done he looked at my scan and DID MATH looking at what needed to be fixed. This ll take about 15 min that ll take 10 etc. When I asked how these related to my symptoms, WHY THE SALEM CLIN DOC SENT ME THERE, he looked at me and said it should help and walked out.
My second opinion doc said absolutely not, we need to figure out why your liver is shutting down before any surgery. I got a second ENT opinion because my primary doc, who knows me thought I needed ENT intervention and he told me to fix other issues before we start ENT. Suffice to say if I followed Salem clinic I would have surgery, fixing problems while liver was shutting down.
I forwarded all my medical records to my primary, HE IS MY PRIMARY, not one word from him. My last appointment with primary was April. It is middle of August now. Haven t been to work since April. Salem Clinic has become the poster child of the political medical world. Used to be a client centered medical approach. Now they make their car payments and help the nip tuck community do the same. ALLWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION IF YOU THINK THEY ARE WRONG. The messed up thing is I never would have until he said, if you think you need more help go to the hospital. Salem Clinic forced me into a second opinion, now I know. I now have a new doctor and one that listens and doesn t pawn you off to specialists . Just a warning.
