Some really great pieces here, in a very interesting building. The recent 'Bacon and the Masters' exhibition was amazing. There is always something worth seeing here

One of the most unusual art galleries I've been to. The architecture itself is worth the journey and the collection incredible.
Love the exhibition in side and out. Really a great experience especially it being free to visit. The Cafe has respectable prices for the food and it's warm especially in the winter.
Fantastic - great architecture by Lord Foster, fabulous main collection, and great temporary exhibitions.
I loved the inside space but also enjoyed the gardens where we painted the sculpture.
Beautiful building. Visited to see the Art Noveau exhibition, which we enjoyed. The exhibition contained some beautiful pieces but is small.
Nice modern Art Centre. Good Art Deco special Exibition. Restraunt is good.
Brilliant gallery with excellent collection of ancient and primitive art plus find temporary exhibitions and a great restaurant.
Great space for art, lovely cafe, used as the Avengers Headquarters in the Marvel films. What's not to love?!
Stupendous gallery, second only to Tate Modern, amazing artists both famous and obscure, and stunning highlights by Giacommetti and Auerbach
Never fails to disappoint when visiting the UEA campus. This time they had a visually appealing stained glass exhibition...
Modern-day arts and exhibition centre which hosts some great events, has a great restaurant and shop and a lovely vista overlooking the Universty lake and grounds.
Excellent visit, wonderful building, beautiful location and fabulous exhibits. Parking easy and all free.
Great gallery even though we visit several times per year we never tire of it. Refreshing cafe with lovely location.
An outstanding space full of important and historic works from ancient civilizations and renowned artists. An essential visit for anyone with an interest in art and culture.
Good special exhibitions but they had no real excuse for not returning my two phone messages. Not the way to get people back through the doors!
Free to ark and vist! Free history and culture! Visiting Norwich one of the must see.
Always a really nice place to visit. A calm atmosphere and always something new to notice in the eclectic permanent exhibition of the Sainsbury collection. We really enjoyed the guided tour and the Art Deco special exhibition was interesting and seemed very familiar even though not my era.
A very good place to enjoy a light lunch, good quality and sensible prices in a great setting.
Exhibition very well curated. Deco by the sea. Cafe crowded and salads pretty ghastly.
Please note the Galleries are not open on Mondays but our restaurant is open 9 - 6pm please read our website.
Very interesting construction but we didn't go inside on this occasion.
A great mixture of old and more modern art all displayed in the same space. Excellent building. There are guided tours at 11:00 and 14:00 which are free and very informative
Such a great place.. Designed to be a calm place, perhaps of introspection, it has a fantastic permanent collection (free to view) Today there was also a free exhibition of the most beautiful stained glass by Brian Clarke.. A good cafe too..
Absorbing permanent collection plus regular temporary exhibitions in a great setting.
Fabulous space, beautifully laid out. The staff are helpful and genuine.
We visited for the Frink exhibition and were treated to a charming guided tour of some remarkable artwork.
We will return to see the rest and the sculpture park on another day.
Hidden away from the centre of Norwich. Just keep following the signs through UEA. Then drawl at an amazing building and perfect selection of paintings and artefacts. Stand in front of a Hockney massive ipad installation. Take time visit the book shop and have coffee. Then return another day. Wonderful.
Has some real little gems in the collection. Not easy to park. But lovely setting and it was the headquarters of the avengers in one of those movies.
It's a good gig there's nothing else like it near Norwich. Personally I don't find the permanent exhibits that amazing. It's certainly no Fitzwilliam. But still a good gig. imo.
Good place to go to see art and sculpture. Cafes are good too. Highly recommended
Interesting exhibits. Cafe expensive and service a little lackadaisical. Bread disappointing.
Has generally very interesting exhibits, changing very frequently, but some of the collections can be a little pretentious. The restaurant has a full glass feature wall letting in natural light which is lovely - I have attended events with catering here but have not made a purpose trip to eat there. A great place to wander around for an afternoon as part of a visit to the grounds of UEA, or attend an event here.
Extensive collection of modern and ethnic art. Regular special exhibitions.
Very pleasant stay safe system in place. Restaurant well managed and menu looked good. We'll eat next time.
Very beautiful exhibition mixing modern art and ancient civilizations.
Always visit on my trips to Norwich. Exhibitions are beautifully organised and akways interesting!
Great place for art. Didn't realise there was so many Bacon paintings there.
Interesting and knowledgeable lots of great paintings photos and artifacts
Excellent collection of south sea island artifacts and also from other parts of the world. Great cafe too.
Great exhibitions, Greater restaurant, Greatest cafe
One of Norman Fosters first public buildings, opened 1978.
Free viewings with some paid exhibitions. Two very nice coffee shops inside too and a little cafe which offers substantial food (quite pricey food though).
Excellent eclectic mix of unusual items from ancient civilisations and morr.
Very interesting and original because of the diversity of the works on display.
A fabulous building housing an amazing art collection
A fascinating exhibit of ethnic and contemporary art. The presentation of special exhibits is excellent.
Nice relaxing place to go, but empty at times though.
Walk through on Uni open day....amazing items on display
Fab museum, small but very interesting. Set in lovely grounds. Our guide was very good, informative. Thanks.
Beautiful centre. Loved the exhibitions and enjoyed the restaurant and tea room.
Kofra does excellent coffee and the staff are lovely! The Centre has low lighting and is very chill :-)
Lovely environment, and joining a guided tour round the exhibition is well worth while.
The permanent exhibition is excellent and the visiting exhibitions are usually good. The cafeteria is middling but adequate.
Lovely exhibition on right now - Art Deco by the Sea
Really amazing museum, was surprised at how much stuff there was from ither cultures ie Native American but sensitively and well displayed. Discovered a new artist John Davies who I didn't know.
Interesting collection including plenty of Bacons. Also lots of pottery.
The SCVA is on the UEA campus, hidden away around the back, but it us well worth finding. It has a mix of modern pieces plus older items from around the world. The main exhibition is free although there is a charge for some of the special exhibitions. There is a small carpark opposite which is also free for visitors although it does fill up quickly, so best get there early.
Lots to look at and had a lovely walk around the lake
A gorgeous shed to display the Sainsbury collection and a varied exhibition programme
The Body Observed: Magnum Photos. Some great 30s/40s monochromes.
This is now one of my favourite places to go in our fine city. I love looking around the amazing art and sculptures then getting myself a coffee (Kofra do the best coffee!) and walking around the yea grounds and lake. You must go and see for yourself!
Went to the exhibition there. Lovely place and the coffee shop was cute.
Stunning gallery space. The Art Deco by the Sea exhibition is really worth visiting
