I started ballroom dancing with spotlight teachers since 2018 and I don't regret any time or penny spent there :)
Everyone is super friendly and welcoming and experienced. I met so many wonderful teachers and dancer. The more I go, the more I dance, the more I learn, so more "a family" they become to me. If you're in the Sacramento/Davis area or even just visiting, Spotlight Ballroom is definitely a place to check, to visit, and to meet cool people :)

The dance teachers are BEST. They go steady pace for students. The staff are WONDERFUL. They are helpful with new people and welcoming to communities in Sacramento County. The managers are GOOD. On social dance nights, the dance studio is filled with attractions and fun. The regular people are kind and great.

Spotlight Ballroom provides a welcoming environment to all of its students regardless of their dance experience. Their instructors are super knowledgeable and welcoming. They re social dances are a great opportunity to practice, meet new people and be exposed to new music and styles of dancing. Regardless of how you learn best, Spotlight Ballroom has the perfect fit for you.

Best place in Sacramento for swing dancing! Incredible instructors and some of the best live music around. Great for all ages and any level of dancers!

Liked it BUT they must not want to make money on alcohol. Two bars, no clear way to be in line, people taking cuts.

And NO coat check. It's fricken winter. We walked from our hotel, so needed coats as its January, and had to hold on to them all night. Not a great way to rock out!

Absolutely the best place to dance. It has the right balance of high level instruction and a place to simply enjoy a night out dancing. There's something for everybody from the absolute beginner to somebody who has been dancing for years.

Spotlight Ballroom is such a fun place to learn ballroom dancing! Awesome instructors and friendly people to dance with! They also offer nights of east coast and west coast swing! Definitely should come out and dance!

Spotlight Ballroom is a great a venue for new dancers looking to "get their feet wet" by learning wide variety of ballroom, latin, swing, and club dance styles. Compared to other studios in the Sacramento area that focus either on a narrow set of dances or on competitions, Spotlight fosters an environment which allows their students to be more creative in incorporating more dance styles in their repertoire (with less of the stress).

Furthermore, students who have the urge to realize their theatrical and performance urges wounder be happy to know that Spotlight typically holds showcases twice a year (with the occasional opportunity to perform during the swing or ballroom social dance parties). The studio may be unique in the number of formation teams it hosts, and that new performers should not feel restricted to solo couple dancing.

I came to spotlight/midtown stomp for almost 7 years now. They have been phenomenal teachers and very accommodating to my needs during classes(being aware of old injuries and abilities). The owners are so personable as are the rest of the staff. 12 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

I love this place, and have been going for over a year and a half for ballroom dancing and swing dancing with great experiences! The instructors are great, the lessons have a lot of variety, and the scene is fantastic. I m partial to Midtown Stomp nights for the chance to dance to swing music, but honestly I give five stars on everything here!
