Ryan Smith Photography of Myrtle Beach Review

We were lucky enough to find Ryan on the web after a Google search of Myrtle Beach Photographers. Planning our first trip to Myrtle Beach, we were hoping to also get some family photos and our daughter's senior pictures. Although I was a bit nervous about connecting with someone online (hey, I'm old school!) Ryan was very easy to get in contact with and answered all our questions.

Once we met up with him at Myrtle Beach State part and he started taking photos, he was able to get our non-photogenic family to relax and we have some wonderful shots to remember our vacation by...not to mention senior pictures that our daughter is thrillled with! If we are able to make it back to the area with our extended family, we would love to schedule another session with Ryan...this time with all 12 of us!

Ryan was great to work with! He took our engagement pictures in July 2017 and our wedding pictures in June 2018. We are not the most photogenic couple and he helped us out and told us exactly what to do and the pictures turned out great! He was easy to communicate with via email and was on time for both events. I wanted to do a surprise proposal for my then girlfriend while we were at the beach with my family. I thought it would be nice to have someone there to capture that moment. Our family vacationed in Myrtle Beach and wanted to get a family portrait on the beach. We worked with Ryan and he was just delightful! He sent us lots of photos to review and choose, and his package prices are excellent! You won't be sorry to choose this photographer.

I found Ryan by searching Google, and saw his portfolio on his website. We are from Dallas, but wanted family pictures taken on the beach when we visited Myrtle Beach. Ryan was amazing to work with! He was extremely quick to respond to emails when booking the shoot, and was great during the shoot, as well. There were 11 of us, 6 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 5-11. We all look great in our pictures! He worked with each family unit and did everything we asked for. He was very afforable, and our pictures were ready in a very fast turn around! I wish he was in Dallas so we could use him again!!

I don't know how Ryan did it. Under the circumstances (two tired kids, some family awkwardness, the heat and humidity, etc.), there were a staggering number of our photos that were not just gorgeous but downright miracles. I seriously thought there might be just 2 or 3 based on the wiggliness of my 1 and 4yo so I am incredibly pleased. Ryan was easy to work with, communicated well, and was not phased in the least by our rowdy angels or nervous adults. The color and the light in the pictures are so beautiful, and we are having such fun poring over them and deciding which ones to order!

We found Ryan via the AWESOME online reviews and are very happy that we did! He was so easy to work with and pushed us to be more creative/fun with the pictures... very glad he did! The pictures are wonderful and he turned them around much faster than most other photographers from what I understand. Highly recommend!! (I mean, look at this AWESOME picture from our ceremony)

Ryan (from Rynan Smith Photography in North Myrtle Beach, SC) was so easy to work with! I am incredibly glad we picked him to take our family summer vacation pictures. He was very prompt with emails, answered all the questions I had prior to committing, and was very pleasant and sweet to work with when meeting in person. Ryan took photos of my family for my 50th birthday. He did an amazing job especially dealing with a large family with ages from 10 months to 55 years. The pictures are by far the best ever taken of my family and I have memories that have been reserved for ever!

Ryan was terrific to work with from start to finish. He responded right away to my inquiry, got our date booked, and sent all of the details that we needed for our beach family pics. The locations and timing/lighting that he suggested were perfect. He was easy to work with, friendly, and suggested fun and thoughtful poses as well as candids. We were very impressed that he took so many pictures in just over an hour AND sent them to us soon after our session. He works well with children and is also thoughtful about the needs of older family members. We also appreciated his clear and simple pricing. I had an excellent bridal portrait experience with Ryan. We went to Atalaya, which is where the ceremony will be and he had a lot of great ideas about poses, etc. It was FREEZING cold, but still a really fun, enjoyable experience. He was easy to work with and made me feel very relaxed. In addition, the pictures turned out beautifully.

Ryan was fantastic!! He was very responsive when we booked the session-- answering all of my questions... and I had a lot! His pricing was fair and the photos turned out great! We had a family of 21 people ranging from 8 months to 75 and several mini-families within. He was patient, quick, creative and fun. He also did a great job editing the photos. We didn't have to do any major edits, but with 21 people we had a few closed eyes and hair fly-aways and Ryan was quick and effective with any edits I requested. I would certainly use him again! We love the photos we have!

We came from out of state for our wedding in Myrtle Beach and Ryan was an outstanding find for our engagement and wedding photos! Ryan was incredibly helpful and flexible right off the bat when we reached out. We scheduled an engagement photoshoot with Ryan a few months before the wedding to get to know him better and learn his style before the big day. Because we were unfamiliar with the area, Ryan helped us find a great location and delivered some of the most beautiful engagement photos I've ever seen in a very shot timeline (< 1 week). Because we were only in town for a short time Ryan was even generous enough to invite us to his home office after the engagement photos to talk through the wedding day plan and what to expect. On the day of the wedding Ryan and his lovely assistant (his wife:) arrived right on schedule and began shooting detail shots and setting up the photo booth in the background while us girls hung out upstairs and got ready. Throughout the day Ryan was very helpful making suggestions about lighting/locations and reminding us of photos we had wanted done. One thing I had specifically asked Ryan for on the day of the wedding was exterior shots of the venue in day and night setting since we were drawn to the place for it's beauty and Ryan absolutely delivered. The exteriors are some of my favorite shots and I cannot wait to add them to our included photo album. Normally I do not like having my photo taken as I'm conscious about how it will turn out, but Ryan made the day easy and fun for everyone (including the younger members of our bridal party). We cannot believe that he was able to turn around our wedding album in just under 2 weeks with it being the start of wedding season (mid-May) and we are in love with all our photos. Cannot recommend Ryan enough for wedding or engagement photos - we had a blast and love the result!

Working with Ryan was so easy. And the results were wonderful. We had a group of 9 with a 2 year old. It was trying for us, but Ryan worked easily with him and we got some great shots. The lighting and location were everything that Ryan promised. The castle, the beach front and even the moon! Ryan truly is an artist. I highly recommend him.

Clients for Life! In 2014, my husbands family sought a Myrtle Beach photographer to capture family memories of our ten years vacationing there!
