This place is horrible and the staff is rude except Jessica. The only helpful employee I encountered. Trying to get a postpartum appointment for my niece was the worst experience ever. The baby is one week old today, and she was scheduled for 1/28.2018. I inquired the expected times for newborns from another WIC facility and they have to be in within 1 week. I explained that to 2 employees which didn't know or care, and also slammed the phone down. I am appalled by this place while we have since received an appointment elsewhere today awaiting them to fax over her information which was supposed to be done on yesterday. Frustrated and angry Rhonda at the WIC nutrition center has been nothing but helpful and great. I am hoping this encounter will help another new mother get milk for their child without being told they have to wait over 6 weeks.

With Dr. Uddin gone, the place has really suffered...

With Dr. Uddin gone, the place has really suffered greatly. Had multiple nurses with bad attitudes sticking me multiple times and still couldn't figure out how to draw blood. A literal butcher shop filled with incompetent girls clucking about as if their failure is your fault. The front desk receptionists are rude and incapable of doing anything with accuracy or apptitude. Unfortunately, this is a service many are force to use because of financial struggles, but if you can afford better do so.

It takes a miracle to actually reach somebody on the phone here to be able to make an appointment. I was not able to the first try (thanks coronavirus restrictions) but was able to on the 2nd try after several days of phone tag. Now I'm playing phone tag again trying to get my test results. So frustrating. But once you get in the building, my experience was great. Friendly nurses who explained everything and answered any questions, and love that it's on sliding scale income while corona time has me out of work. Got some much needed healthcare without emptying my bank account.
Update: got my test results but asked for them to be emailed to me and that email never came. So round 3 of phone tag..

I have called five times this morning and the phone has just rang and rang for at least ten minutes each time. Ridiculous! A no star is what I would give the health department. As a former foster parent who is required to take children there this place needs more staff to get you in and out quicker. Nurses and dr were wonderful but way to long there and won t answer calls is very frustrating and our gov needs to fix this.

I don t know why people are so angry with this place. I had a scheduled appointment and I went in there knowing exactly what I needed to do and it was plain and simple. I didn t have a long wait...and if you did have an hour or two long wait and got mad...then you need to stay home. It happens. The staff was more than nice to me and my nurse Cherie was one of the NICEST nurses I have ever met and was very comforting during my stressful time. Thank you guys so much :)

I can never get through to them via phone. Half the time the line is busy somehow and the automated system never takes me to the WIC appointment line I always have to call multiple times and hit buttons for other departments to get a human.

Dr Naeem Uddin, MD is my doctor for more than 2yrs. As soon as unfortunately I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes due to being rushed to the hospital with sugar levels at 500+, He was someone that took me in as a patient, informed me and my family about this condition and the plan he had for me. I can gladly say that it's been at normal levels for more than a year following his indications. He always genuinely cares about my health a feeling that sadly you don't get from Doctors nowadays, as most treat patients in a mechanical form. Hey when your wife and daughter tell you: You better think twice about eating that, we'll tell Dr.Urdin; it means they're thankful and feel trust in someone that cares about that special someone for them. Best Doctor I have ever meet!

I went and had my Corvid - 19 shot to and I will have to say that they really had things so easy to go through and receive your shot Everyone was so helpful and courteous. Thank you for the Police, nurses volunteer and health dept. You see on T V had some places make you stand outside for hours I got there and 30 minutes I had my shot Thank you Everyone that worked

They can't do there jobs you can be the first appointment and they will still take an hour or longer to see you they need to step up do their jobs they get paid for even WIC can't stay on schedule its really sad how long it takes

Sorry ass employees... I went in with a question and because I interrupted the ladies at the front desk(they had to stop laughing and talking to help me), I got a lot of attitude and they didn't even try to resolve my concern...

I called at 8 lady told me to call back at 830 bc yhe wait wouldnt be as long. Called back at 830 waited 45 mins outside there office on the phone. Literally stood in the lobby on hold watching them talk about dinner. Then i was told to wait outside while still on hold. After an hour i finally got somebody to answer the phone. All i needed was a birth certificate. Took a total of 5 minutes. Thats all i had needed. Some people care some people dont.

The woman who greets you is rude and does not know her job. I came to convert health records I'm literally the only one in here at 730 and she tells me she has no clue how long it will be il probably leave here at 10 am. You can call them to see if your children's records are available but they won't call you to pick them up! She has no clue and when you ask for clarity she gets mad at you and gives you an attitude! She should not be at the front desk if she has no clue how to treat people or do her job

This place is horrible!!!!! The service is very slow here you sit in the lobby at least an hour or two before being seen. This is just ridiculous I hate that my grandchild has to go here they need more faster workers and faster service. I wish they had another health department here besides just this one because it s always packed and slow plus you can never reach anyone on the phone when you call because they never answer. Better health department please!!!

As far as government places go this one is at the top...we have had a few bumps but the mangament i felt was very helpful solving that...when an employee suggested we have surgrey to fix my sons disablities i was devastated but it was handled well. So im happy and believe they are trying their best to offer a public service to the best of thwir power! Keep it up and move forward with success you guys!

I have been a patient at the clinic for over two y...

I have been a patient at the clinic for over two years and I am very satisfied with my experience there. After moving to Tennessee from California I discovered I had high blood pressure and went to the clinic and saw Dr. Uddin. He set a treatment for me and I am happy to say my BP returned to an excellent level. Since then my wife and I visit the clinic on a regular basis and we are both very happy with our experience there. The Nurses are very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Uddin always makes sure we understand what is going on with our health and we never feel like we are being rushed out so he can get to the next patient. I am very happy with Dr. Uddin and the treatment I receive at the clinic.

Seems like up till very recently, the value people place on helping someone could easily take a back seat to busyness. I appreciate RCHD for taking time to value helping me, quickly, courteously, and concisely. Thank you.

I have called for over 3 weeks cause I cant afford a dentist and they told me one be at the health department. I have called everyday and even went up there by 7:30am. And have been told the dentist is out for all week. What is the use of having one if your not gonna be in the office at all. Wish I could afford a real dentist cause I got 2 teeth that needs pulling and I'm disable.

Needed a replacement birth certificate. Called ahead to make an appointment. Was told that, "No appointment [was] necessary---fairly straightforward process..."

I arrived the next morning at 10:15am. Filled out a quick form, submitted it to the front desk attendant, and was told to wait until my name was called.

Proceeded to wait 60 minutes with a woman and her visibly sick infant, during which time 3 patients came in, signed in, and were called to a window... After the third patient, I approached the original front desk attendant and politely informed her that I'd been waiting for over an hour, and needed to go to work soon. She assured me that my request was being addressed. I noticed the form I filled out sitting over her shoulder. I asked how much longer I should expect to wait. She told me she couldn't say.

I returned to my seat.

Less than 5 minutes later I was called to a window and promptly helped in under 3 minutes and thanked for my patience...

Total visit time: 1h 40m

Less than pleased with my experience. I am neither a smoker nor habitual drinker but after this visit, I feel like I could use a pack of cigarettes and an intravenous vodka drip. If I ever need to go to the Health Department, again, I will most definitely be visiting another location.

They somewhat help in in person at the front desk,but evertime i call its a hassle. Just let the phone ring, they'll eventually pick up.
The Hispanic interpreter is very nice wish I knew her name but she has helped me in more that one case and is very sweet. Transferring to a new location due to me moving but if not I would stay. Just had 1 complaint here (front desk) but other than that it's an OK business.
