Had my car valet parked by Royal Parking at Vidrio in downtown Raleigh. Noticed this odd dent at the upper corner of the trunk the next morning (drove from the restaurant directly home & nowhere else the night before).
Went back IMMEDIATELY upon noticing the damage. They stated they re not responsible once the customer takes possession of the vehicle.
I spoke to Terrill (Royal Parking s representative) about the situation. He said the car was parked in the open lot near Mirage night club and that there are video cameras on the lot. He said it would take about a week but he would get with the owner, review the video footage and get back with me.
A week went by.. heard NOTHING from Terrill. I called and he said they were still working on it. Another week went by.. heard NOTHING. Called Terrill.. said they were having difficulty obtaining the video.
Waited another week.. heard nothing.. tried calling Terrill several times.. no answer.. no response.
It is bad enough that section of Raleigh has few good restaurant options but to make matters worse, both Sullivan s & Vidrio contract Royal Parking for their valet parking service.
This was an expensive lesson for me. From now on, I will be much more critical IF I ever use a valet service & will absolutely avoid Royal Parking when going downtown.
