I ve been dining at Rouge Restaurant for many years. Their food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented.
I am gluten free and have never gotten sick eating at Rouge... they even offer GF dessert!
During my 40 years of spending time in the Berkshires, Rouge has consistently been the best place for dinner.
Great cocktails and a fun selection to choose from! Great service as well, very friendly waitress. The food was not what we were expecting after hearing such great things. The duck was overcooked and dry, I couldn t finish my meal. The calamari was flavorless and tasted as if it had been frozen, thawed and then frozen again. Very bland and disappointing especially for the prices.

Waiters and waitresses were pleasant but not knowledgeable of the food. My wife had the duck which is according to the staff what Rouge is know for. The duck was so over cooked and my wife asked for more sauce in order to finish the $32 duck. I ordered the sea bass special, $34 a plate, and that was over cooked as well. The skin was more than crispy, it was almost burned. We had appetizers and tapas dishes and they were good. The cocktails were good too. For the prices though, I expect much better.
Nice restaurant. Our two drinks from the bar's special menu were unique, flavorful and potent. The complimentary bread was good. Calamari was crunchy. The duck was a little too rare, acknowledging it should be rare, but still a treat. Interior decor has paintings of classic female movie stars. A separate back room just for viewing, has a large snow globe collection from all over the world. There is a separate bar section from the dining room.
Love this bistro! And the lady who runs it. So.much fun and good food too.
Wonder food! Menu has become somewhat limited but food always pleasing, interesting, satisfying, beautiful.
I am impressed. The food was inventive and the atmosphere was cordial. My co-diner told me that they have a new chef and that the space was redecorated. It all looked good to me and, being from Austin, I am used to good food. I would recommend 2 profiteroles, instead of one big one. Other then that... bravo!
