ROUGE Fine Catering Review

ROUGE was the caterer for our wedding in June. They were amazing! From the planning process to the day of, they were always there to help with whatever was needed. Weeks after our wedding, people are still talking about the great food and service they received at our wedding. I would highly recommend ROUGE to anyone for any event, wedding etc., they were outstanding! Shout out to Kelly and all of her help, she was wonderful!

The staff was extremely professional a very personable, which ultimately added to the success of our event. From planning to execution, the staff made everything extremely easy.

Rouge was the caterer for my husband's celebration of life, under the skillful guidance of Lauren Bowyer. Lauren listened well and heard our needs for the occasion and our guests. The food and service were wonderful - delicious, beautifully presented, and just what we wanted. Best of all, my husband's favorite desserts were made with rhubarb. Rouge managed to find the rhubarb and make mini pies. How special! All we had to do the evening of the celebration was attend and celebrate. Rouge set up, took down, cleaned up.

Rouge's staff went above and beyond the terms of the agreement we'd signed to make my wedding great. Their staff made sure there was never a moment that myself or my bride went without a drink in our hands or food close at hand - the staff acted almost motherly in making sure we had time to eat! Of particular note to me were the personal touches that the coordinator, Sarah Moses, put into the signage - she took the time to match our theme perfectly, which was a completely unanticipated act on her part that touched me.

Also, we had told ourselves that it was unlikely we'd manage to find a caterer that actually served GOOD wedding food, but Rouge did! Many guests told us how much they enjoyed every part of the dinner. My wife actually intends to steal some of their recipe ideas for her own.

Rouge is THE best caterer around! I highly recommend using Rouge for any type of event you may need catering for. We used them for our wedding (5/7/16) and not only were we impressed -- the guests could not stop talking about how wonderful our food was. The food tasted great, the portion sizes were wonderful and the presentation of the food was fantastic. We are so happy Rouge was recommended to us from our wedding planner. We would definitely use Rouge again for another event. You will not be disappointed.

Working with Rouge was awesome. The food was excellent and they were very responsive to changes as we moved toward our date. Jaqueline was great to work with, managing the process, offering advice on best practices and being onsite to make sure everything ran smoothly.

The quality and variety of offerings available from Rouge is fantastic. When we built our menu, Gabrielle was super helpful in thinking through the different components, and we were blown away at our tasting. We knew our guests would be too, which was really important to us: good food, good alcohol and good music would ensure a GREAT time at our wedding. It's also so nice that you can drop things off to Rouge the week of your event, and they bring it onsite for you. Being allowed to purchase our own alcohol, and return what was unopened, allowed us to choice and was cost effective. Not all caterers allow this, so it's a really great feature about Rouge's practice. Sustainability is also important to them, and since it was really important to me as a bride, they worked with us to ensure waste was minimized and diverted as much as possible. All in all, I would strongly recommend Rouge for your event.

When My wife and I were planning our wedding, I had one request. That we had AMAZING food at our wedding, and Rouge delivered big time! they created a special menu just for us to make our day that much more special. Not only was the food amazing but the service was even better. We had an amazing team and it made our day that much more magical. I would recommend Rouge to anyone and everyone in need of catering services.

I just got married June 2016, and I mentioned multiple times throughout my wedding planning process that I would not know what I would do without having Rouge as my caterer. From the beginning working with Celeste to the end working with Kelly (Merriell), I was beyond please with everything their team did to make our day so special.

I am extremely particular and very detail oriented. Kelly made sure she answered all of my hundreds of questions throughout the process, and made sure I was feeling comfortable with the answer she had given. She assured me multiple times that they will communicate with the vendors throughout the day and they made that true! In addition, Kelly and the staff came up to my husband and me MULTIPLE times throughout the night making sure we had a drink, to see if we ate, or to see if we needed anything.

After the wedding I received hundreds of complements saying "that was by far the best wedding food I have ever had," or "that was the best crab cake I have ever had."

I would 100% recommend rouge for any event, especially for a wedding, and I hope that I get to use Rouge for another event sometime in my future and I cannot be more thankful for choosing them as our caterer!

Even though we just so happened to get Rouge as our wedding caterer because of the wedding venue we wanted, they helped solidify our decision to select the Woodlawn and Pope Leighey House for our ceremony and reception. Rouge is the dedicated caterer for Woodlawn, and we first tasted Rouge's food at one of the venue's open houses. We instantly knew they would provide excellent service and delicious food for our family and friends. A few months prior to our wedding date, we had a full tasting to make sure we would be happy with every each menu item. On the day of, Maykayla and the rest of the Rouge staff made sure everything was set up perfectly for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They kept to our schedule perfectly for dinner and dessert. I heard only positive things from our guests regarding their interactions with the servers and bartenders. Food seems to be one thing that people are quick to criticize at weddings, but our guests raved about their meals. All of the food was cooked on site and came out fresh. Rouge helped make our wedding day so memorable!

If you are considering using Rouge for your wedding or any event my advice to you is run. The venue we selected for our wedding used Rouge exclusively (even booking the venue goes through Rouge) so we did not have a choice for caterer, which at time was fine with us. I have been to events in the past that Rouge was a part of and was happy with the food and service. Our wedding was in April 2019 and in the end of January 2019 we received a call informing us that Rouge was canceling our catering contract because >60% of their staff was deported after they were raided by ICE in NOVEMBER 2018! From that moment everything went downhill fast. We originally found out about a week before that our catering contract might be canceled because our photographer had heard from other clients and she reached out to us- it wasn t even Rouge even though they knew months prior! Unfortunately because we booked the venue through Rouge we still had to work with them for our wedding. Once Rouge was no longer our caterer communication basically ceased, they pretty much stopped replying to any emails from us and our other vendors. It wasn t until our photographer mentioned publishing photos that we received a response and yet our questions were still not answered. The nightmare doesn t stop there, Celeste (the VP and one of the owners) was our main and only contact moving forward and refused to give us contact information for the person on site the day of the wedding. Celeste also double booked our walk through with another event and blamed it on a scheduling error when she was the person I booked my walk through with. She was also incredibly rude and unprofessional to us and our new caterer who had to step in less than 3 months before our wedding. Celeste promised that she would help take care of everything the day of the wedding after she added extra responsibility to our new caterer and that she would have extra staff on hand the day of including one of their best event managers. The only person from Rouge present the day of my wedding was Kyla, someone who clearly did not want to be there and could not be found majority of the day. My mother had to call Celeste multiple times to even find Kyla originally even though Kyla was on her phone the entire day, including while driving my guests to the ceremony site on a golf cart. We were supposed to have the golf cart for the entire event, but after the ceremony when we wanted to use the golf cart to take sunset photos, Kyla informed us she gave the golf cart away to campers also at the venue. Kyla was also rude to our other vendors and gave them attitude when they asked about the golf cart. The only reason our wedding didn t turn into a complete disaster after all of the nonsense Rouge put us through was because of our other vendors. The other vendors for our wedding were amazing and went above and beyond their responsibilities to ensure our wedding was special and a day to remember for all the right reasons. Rouge caused a lot of stress and tears leading up to our wedding and I cannot stress it enough, stay away from Rouge!! They were completely unprofessional and unreliable. We were not the only wedding they canceled, I know of several other couples that had their contract canceled with even less notice than we did.

AMAZING!! they took care of everything!! really amazing job!

Rouge recently catered our wedding reception and they were fantastic! During the process of planning the menu, they were extremely helpful in guiding us with selecting each dish. They prepared a tasting for us in advance and were also very accommodating when we decided to change one of the main dishes two weeks before the event. They let us come in again for another tasting as well. During the reception, we requested a drink that they did not have at the bar, however they went out of their way to get the requested drink for us. Rouge was excellent to work with and they prepared outstanding food and service for our reception. We had many guests comment on how professional they were and how good the food tasted. We would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding reception. Great job Rouge!

Rouge catered my daughter's wedding at the Evergreen Museum and Library during the rain deluge on May 27th! So many of our guests said "the food was amazing!" They took care of everything and did an outstanding job with our "Plan B" in the event of rain. Everyone was so nice and my daughter commented that she felt like a queen because they took such good care of her. Lauren was outstanding to work with and very responsive to every question and email and menu change. I would highly recommend them!

Words can not describe how blown away we and ALL of our guests were at the quality, display and execution of everything that Rouge did on Saturday night. People could not stop talking about how delicious the food was that night and still today! I'm sure that people will be talking about it forever because it was THAT GOOD.

When Jim and I sat down at our table and our plates were brought over everything was absolutely incredible. As soon as Jim took a bite, he said, "Wow, this is REALLY good!" I was so excited for him to keep eating so that I could see his reaction HAHA!

During this entire experience you and your team were so accommodating, creative and attentive. No detail was missed! I loved meeting the Chef at the tasting and also I thought it was so touching that he wanted to come over and say hello again at the wedding. You are all some of the most talented people I've ever met and I am totally a snob when it comes to food!

The other thing that I was SO impressed with and I thought was absolutely so sweet was the fact that you packed up all of the leftovers for me and I was able to enjoy them with the family again! I almost cried when I saw that because it showed that you guys really cared and wanted us to experience the moment all over again!

Ashley, Katey and Morgan had talked you guys up from day 1 and they were SO RIGHT! They told me that we would not be disappointed and they were SPOT ON. We would use you guys AGAIN AND AGAIN! You have my recommendation forever!

Rouge was the highlight of our wedding! The food is AMAZING and the price is very reasonable. We had our food set up in stations. There was an abundance of delicious food at every station! The quality of food from Rouge is incredible. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food tasted! We had a raw bar set up with raw oysters, shrimp cocktail, and seared tuna. It was the talk of the night! The set up and display of the food was spot on. We loved how Rouge offered set up and displays that fit our rustic theme. Our event manager Jordan was the most amazing person to work with. She was always available to us. She made the process so easy and we are so thankful for that. After signing with Rouge we had multiple changes and new ideas but nothing was too much for Rouge. Jordan and Rouge were flexible and wanted to make sure everything was perfect, which it was! Our guests are still sending us messages stating our wedding was the best wedding ever!! I cannot recommend this company enough. They are truly amazing!

ROUGE Catering is amazing. We used ROUGE for our wedding at Woodlawn Plantation (Alexandria, VA) and they were simply amazing. Very good food and large portion sizes. My wedding guests were commenting on how good the food is and that there was loads of it! The whole wedding ran seamlessly, very friendly staff and no one waiting to be served at the bar!

Maykayla was our Catering Manager for our wedding and I have to say she is one of the best people I have ever work with. She is beyond helpful, goes out of her way to deliver above and beyond EVERY TIME.

Rouge stepped in to perform a last minute intervention to save my party! after my original caterer backed out 5 days beforehand! The food was great and the two servers were fantastic. They were incredibly polite, professional, and helpful. Even going way going above and beyond to carry food up to our upstairs deck and help with he first aid when an elderly guest was overcome by the heat!

They were wonderful, easy to work with, reasonable, and the presentation was beautiful, especially the paella. Would highly recommend. Jorden was wonderful to work with and MICA as always a wonderful backdrop and so helpful and delightful to work with. Brenda.

Their chefs are amazing. I go here to get 2 sides and an entree. Buffalo chicken is my go to but chicken Tikka or bourbon chicken or general tso chicken are also good. They will let you taste these entrees too. Grilled salmon is amazing. Sides are almost the same salad, fried rice, green beans, spinach dip, zuccini, fruits and such. They have pre made salad bowls as well for quick checkout.

It is always a pleasure to work with ROUGE for our Staff Recognition Events. The food and service is consistently excellent. The staff is professional, flexible, friendly and efficient. We know that everything will run smoothly at our events when we work with ROUGE. Highly recommend!

Rouge did a wonderful, 5-star job catering a volunteer appreciation event I held at the Baltimore Museum of Industry to honor our American Red Cross Volunteers. The food was incredible. The timing was spot-on. Their troubleshooting skills were stellar. The place settings were beautiful. They are actually the only caterer I've worked with that set up the programs and centerpieces for me. Well done!

My experience with Rouge was nothing short of AMAZING! I worked with Sarah Kelley from the start when I was searching for a new catering company to host an annual graduation event. Right from the beginning, she was prompt, enthusiastic and always on top of things and up to the end, she was a perfect match for what we needed.

Her food suggestions were ON POINT and everything tasted wonderful. The mini burger sliders were simply a HIT and the presentation was beyond my expectations. It was funny that our guests LOVE the little plates and forks, its the little things.

The entire team arrived early, set up quickly and was ready to go 45 minutes before our start time. The staff was friendly and really got into the spirit of our event. It was almost as if they were joining us for the celebration instead of just doing a job.

I usually don't write reviews, but I couldn't pass this up. We challenged them with a self-seating arrangement, which was a bit new for Sarah but she tackled it! There were NO mistakes and even our allergy meal and kosher meal accommodations were perfect.

Sarah went above and beyond to help with every detail and I can't wait to work with her again next year!

We hired Rouge Fine Catering for our wedding and they were absolutely outstanding!! I had a wonderful experience with our Catering Manager Kaitlyn. She was super organized and made sure our event ran smoothly. We had 180 people to serve and ALL of the food came out piping hot! Crab cakes, short ribs, appetizers, cupcakes, and everything else was delicious! Everyone at the wedding said the food was great and I 100% agree! I strongly recommend Rouge for your event. They are innovative, professional, and reliable.

First off, Rouge is amazing!! Where do I start??

If we have any events that need to be catered in the future, my husband and I will absolutely go with Rouge, no question. We initially did a tasting with a different local catering company who made us pay $20 a head for a buffet-style tasting. We were lucky enough to find Rouge and had a completely opposite experience with them right from the start! They held our tasting at Rouge's headquarters where you are treated to a private (free) tasting of your entire menu, served just how it would look on your event day.

Now, on to the food. The meal was outstanding! I can't say enough good things about the quality and presentation of the meal. Our guests were making sure to pull us aside during the wedding to tell us how delicious dinner was. :) Our vegetarians were also extremely pleased with their meals. Everything was wonderfully seasoned, nothing was swimming in sauce, the beef fillets were cooked to a perfect medium-rare (which to be honest, is an amazing feat to accomplish in an of itself, not to mention for 100 guests). Our MD Rockfish was out of this world, as were all of the appetizers.

Not only was the food exceptional, but working with Rouge for practically a year prior to our big day was also wonderful. Kaitlyn was our direct contact and she couldn't have been more helpful. She was speedy on responding to emails and phone calls and was an absolute delight to work with. The staff that worked on our wedding day were polite and helped our guests with anything they needed. Bar service was speedy and it seemed everyone had plenty to drink ;)

I can't say enough good things about Rouge, their staff, and the amazing food they create! Can't wait to have an excuse to use them again!!

I live at the Brentwood and the salvation army served us food from this establishment it was very tasty this is during cornovirus time.

This restaurant is unique from most catering places. For one, their food is delicious and there is always a different selection to choose from. The only couple problems that this restaurant has is that the location is hard to find and at the lunch rush, it takes forever because there's only two people serving food and making transactions.

I can't say enough good things about ROUGE catering & working with Lauren Bowyer! Being in the food & beverage industry myself -- ROUGE is as professional as they come & Lauren was beyond accommodating especially when I had a few last minute curveballs with guests and food decisions! They were on-point with details, and the operation at their warehouse is nothing short of top-notch. They had a system and it WORKS! My guests at my wedding were absolutely raving about not only how good the food was, but the presentation of it was OUTSTANDING!!! When trying to deciding on catering for your next event, booking with ROUGE will take any bit worry out of the food logistics for you so you can enjoy the party!!!

Was excited to use Rouge Catering for my wedding that was originally scheduled to take place last summer. They met our needs in regards to food quality and budget. In March 2020, signed a contract and paid a 20% deposit for our wedding scheduled for July 2020. A week later, the whole country unexpectedly went under lockdown for COVID. Since our wedding was made up mostly of out-of-town guests, we decided in May to make the socially-responsible choice to cancel our wedding to eliminate the risk involved with travel. Despite my various attempts, including a phone conversation explaining that rescheduling our 100+ person social gathering during a global pandemic was simply not feasible, Celeste, the owner, refused to return our deposit back to us.

Rouge Catering was the only vendor that was not willing to return our deposit. Anyone who has planned a wedding knows the exorbitant amount of expenses that couples must set aside for their special day. I would just be cautious of doing business with a company that doesn t feel the need to hold themselves to the same standard as everyone else in the industry.

Rouge Catering - book them TODAY!! Five stars is not high enough to describe the many qualities of this fine organization!!

First and foremost - the FOOD!!!!!!!! We received SO many compliments on both the quality and the quantity of food!! The food was beautifully displayed and every bite was delicious!

The STAFF - Rouge employed not only the nicest, but the hardest working team I have encountered in some time. This applied not only to the night of the event, but to any and all correspondence leading up to our fundraiser. Niki Steel, Manager, Catering Sales & Events, took care of our every need!! She was knowledgeable, patient and flexible!!

One of the final compliments (and there were many!) of the night came as we left the venue. One of our guests was watching the Rouge team outside cleaning up and loading the truck. The comment was, "Not only do they work hard - but they have fun, too!" We received truly professional SERVICE - from choosing the menu months ago until the very last guest left the event!!

In closing, if Rouge Fine Catering services your area - hire them. You will be happy you did!!

Delicious food! The Rouge Staff worked efficiently and professionally in our unique venue. Our coordinator, Sarah, was responsive and very helpful in answering all our questions. We had a blast at our tasting and on the day of our wedding!

There are a lot of great reviews on here, unfortunately our experience with Rouge was very poor. We met with Rouge late last year and signed a contract to have them cater our wedding this upcoming summer. Everything was progressing just fine until we received a call out of the blue from Rouge informing us that they could no longer be our Caterer.

The reason stated was that they had an issue with immigration which caused them to lose half of their staff. This is pretty alarming for a company with such a good reputation. To even allow something like this to happen is not indicative of a company that has its act together.

Needless to say this left us scrambling to find a replacement. Fortunately we did, and once we told them what happened with Rouge they indicated that they have other clients as well who came to them after Rouge let them down.

If you want a caterer that you can count on and that won't potentially cause you a lot of stress, I highly recommend avoiding Rouge.

Great spot for lunch! Their buffet always has something tasty, and they have great pre-prepared salads in the cold case.

I can't begin to quantify what Rouge did for me and my wedding. At every step, they astonished me with their skill and professionalism. Kaitlyn turned all of my incoherent emails into a menu that perfectly represented what we wanted. My family and I left the tasting absolutely stuffed. Maykayla stepped in once the event got closer and handled everything like an expert. She made sure that myself and my now-husband's hands were never without a drink or snack the whole night. The setup, breakdown, and bar staff were friendly and efficient.

Rouge was the first vendor I booked that made me feel as though I could just maybe pull this whole wedding thing off. My other vendors would visibly perk up when I told them that Rouge would be catering my wedding. They were excited because they knew they would be working with great people and even better food. My guests raved to me about the food (especially the short ribs) all night.

I'm not creative-minded. I don't have a decorating bone in my body, so I thought my wedding would look hastily thrown together. But there was a moment when the buffet tables and bar were getting set up that I looked around and thought "is this really my wedding? It looks so...good." All of these people were really pulling out the stops for me, as if it were the most important event they'd ever done. I could hardly believe that some in-over-her-head bride like myself could have been the center of all this professionalism and hard work.

That's what Rouge will do for you - wow your family and friends while giving you the peace of mind that your event really can and will work out. I would recommend booking them without hesitation.

Rouge served the dinner for my daughters wedding 9/23/17 at Cloisters Castle. They did a first class job and went above and beyond for my family. They took empty rooms and set tables beautifully with linens and glassware. We challenged them with celiacs, vegans and a garlic allergy and they hit a home run. Their staff on the day were in pressed uniforms, very friendly and worked hard.
The most impressive thing I can share is that the bride and groom signaled me during the dinner to say how delicious the food was. Maykayla was the coordinator and lead on the day and she is a five plus star!!! Many Thanks to the Rouge team.

Rouge catered my wedding and I couldn't be happier! They executed my 'cocktail style' dinner amazingly, and the staff was upbeat and good sports while having to work in tough weather conditions. They made sure my husband and I got to taste everything too which was really nice. Thanks Maykayla and team!

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The food is good. The menu varies from day to day. Today they had fried shrimp, calamari and oysters on the buffet. Plan on spending $10 for lunch.

We had the pleasure of having Rouge Fine Catering for our daughter's wedding on 9/28/19 at our home in Towson. The entire process from securing Rouge, to choosing a menu, to the tasting experience, to the event itself was so professional and so comforting. As you can imagine hosting a wedding at home is no small feat and Rouge implemented every detail with professionalism and ease. EVERYTHING was fantastic! The food was just incredible, the presentation gorgeous, the service outstanding and the clean up impeccable. Our guests may never stop talking about how wonderful every detail was and we could not be more grateful for an event that exceeded our expectations. I am mother of the bride, Sarah, who posted earlier. I certainly concur with her statements about how professional the Rouge staff is and how good the food was. It rained on her wedding day and Rouge staff were terrific in accommodating changing events -- such as a wedding in the middle of the cocktail area. Kelly was wonderful. Even the florist said how helpful the Rouge staff was in helping her clean up the flowers after the event. Also, since I signed the contract with Rouge, I would like to say that they returned phone calls and emails promptly and helpfully. All businesses should be so well run and client-oriented. Thank you, Rouge.

Kelly and the Rouge team were fantastic from start to finish. Great communication, notably flexible and adapted quickly to fit our needs throughout the planning process. Extensive (and delicious) menu options, and even sourced craft beers and wines from breweries and wineries meaningful to us. Staff was attentive, gracious, and hospitable throughout our entire event.

Celeste, Amanda, Nikki, Lauen and Kyla did a phenomenal job seamlessly coordinating the food and drinks for our wedding day! Rouge created custom passed appetizers to reflect our Maryland (Groom) and Nevada/California (Bride) upbringings and had no issue changing the plated meals several times to accommodate cost cuts - we finally landed on crab cakes, beef short ribs, and vegetarian penne vodka pasta and ALL WERE PERFECT! They do not skimp on portions- the crab cakes were softball size! And I have no idea how they do it but the food looked and tasted the same (super high quality!) as it did in the makeshift museum kitchen (which we never saw) as it did during the tasting at their hunt valley kitchen. We also had Rouge man an open bar (they provided the alcohol) for a very reasonable price.
Rouge executed a phenomenal plan for all the table and linen arrangements - including last minute add-ons for a children s area. The service was exceptional and there was no extensive lag time between courses. Guests complimented how smoothly dinner went.
I (the Bride) became extremely ill the day of the wedding and was not able to keep anything down. I would like to personally thank Celeste, Kyla, and the catering team, for providing me with a bland meal completely off menu they created personally for me. I was devastated that I couldn t eat any of the food that I was SO SO SO looking forward to, but they packed up some left over meals that I have since eaten and we re superb even a day or 2 later!
I whole heartily recommend Rouge to any couple looking for the perfect food/beverage/table+linen option on their wedding day!

We began our experience with Rouge with a friend who worked as an event coordinator at the time. She was amazing and incredibly helpful throughout the year of wedding planning, answering questions whenever I had them and giving me suggestions for other vendors or things to think of (that I never would have without her help). About a month out from our big day, that friend took a position with another company and, although I was incredibly happy for her, I was a bit nervous about not having her with us on the day of as she knew the ins and outs of our plans. Enter Celeste! Celeste quickly studied and familiarized herself with our plans and made some fantastic floor plan/decor suggestions. I was able to drop off ALL of my decorative items (including 72 vases and candles for the centerpieces) and they transported everything and made sure it got to where it was supposed to be on the big day. Celeste and her staff checked on us throughout the night making sure we ate when we wanted and had a drink at all times. I could not say better things about Rouge--their food is so impressive and beautiful and their full service menu is HUGE. I HIGHLY recommend Rouge as a caterer, they really are more than just that, they help you plan your event and give you peace of mind that it will all come together in the end. Our wedding day was perfect and we cannot thank Rouge and everyone who helped enough.

Rouge catered our wedding on August 12th at the Evergreen Museum & Library in Baltimore and I can't say enough amazing things about them! From the tasting we had to the day-of they exceeded all of my expectations. First off, their food is incredible. Everyone at the wedding kept raving to me about how good the food is, which they were surprised by as wedding food is often a little mediocre. Lauren Bowyer at Rouge was our coordinator and she went above and beyond. She worked seamlessly with our event coordinator and even provided baskets for many of the accessories and favors. Their prices are competitive and the food and presentation is exceptional. Best caterer in Baltimore, hands-down.

Rouge catered our wedding at the American Visionary Arts Museum in July 2017 and they were fabulous! The food was delicious and the staff was amazing to work with for the whole process. We love that Rouge provided a personalized tasting for the menu items we were interested in. We also went back for a second tasting when a few menu items changed. We worked with Jacqueline and she was great! She was always very responsive and prompt in getting back to me with the millions of emails and questions I sent her way. She always had great suggestions and ideas for ensuring our wedding was the way we envisioned it. We are so appreciative of Jacqueline and Rouge for everything they did for us to make our wedding day perfect! We highly recommend Rouge!

I cannot say enough good things about Rouge catering. They catered my wedding on June 10th, and the guests are still talking about how great the food was. I worked directly with Celeste and Stephanie throughout the planning process and they were extremely helpful and very organized. Stephanie went above and beyond during the process and everything was perfect the day of. I've been to a lot of weddings who used Rouge, as well as my previous employer's cafeteria was catered by Rouge so I already knew they had a great reputation and experienced the food firsthand every day. They are quick to respond, pay close attention to details, provide amazing service, and make top knotch meals. I highly recommend using Rouge for your wedding!!

They could not have been more quick to respond or helpful! We decided to have a mini backyard wedding because the BIG one was cancelled in May but they still wanted to get married ASAP! Literally put this wedding together in 2 weeks! ROUGE was awesome. Took a lot of worry off my (mother of the bride!) plate and set us up w/delicious food w/no issues! Couldn't recommend them enough!

I found my experience with Rouge Catering to be seamless.
I had to change my order 3 times, and Heather was just wonderful. She worked with me in the beginning making great item selections with the right amount of food for the number of people we were having. We spoke on Tuesday, to confirm and I needed to decrease. No sooner had we spoken and my boss change the time of their meeting, which meant we had to start over as it was no longer a luncheon. Again, she reviewed your items and we decided on a menu.

On the day of the event, the young man making the delivery phoned just like we planned. I met him and walked him into the space for delivery. He set everything in a flow order if you will everything was laid out very nicely. Wonderful young man. He represented you company to a T .

Not to mention we received everything we ordered and it looked delicious and fresh. Thank you again for your detail to service. We will definitely be using Rouge Fine Catering again.

Claire and I want to say thank you for a wonderful evening. The job you guys did as a whole was outstanding. We heard so many rave reviews about the food. People will be talking about your food for a long time to come. The entire night went smooth and seamless. Your crew did a great job keeping things moving while staying out of the action. We could not be more pleased.

My only regret was I never made it to the desert table to try one of the delicious looking cupcakes. I plan to recommend Rogue to any and all of my friends, family and coworkers if they ever need a superb caterer (that way I can get one of those cupcakes! ;)

Rouse is the Best catering company I have ever worked with! From the taste of the food to the beautifully displayed platters all throughout my party, Rouge was amazing.

The first day I met Kaitlyn, I knew my party was going to be a success! We hired Rouge to cater our daughters' Bat Mitzvah party for over 200 people. They worked with us to create the exact menu that would appeal to our guests, provided us with an incredible "tasting", and then recreated ALL the food we chose on the day of our actual event. My guests have been to many parties and everyone commented on how terrific the food was at ours.

Rouge has a terrific staff and a keen sense of how to work with different types of parties and guests. Kaitlyn managed the entire experience so professionally that I had no doubt everything was going to run smoothly and I could enjoy my own party! I had no worries a all!

We hired Rouge to do a Celebration of Life Ceremony at Cylburn Arboretum. With less than a week to plan, Rouge came up with a beautiful menu, and figured out all the details - number of tables we needed and flow of the room. The event turned out beautifully and all of the guests commented that the food was wonderful. Any requests I had that day were quickly greeted with "no problem" and "absolutely". A pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Thank you to Lauren and Kyla for making this happen.

From the moment we met for the tasting to the set up and the clean up of the wedding, everything was FLAWLESS. Our event manager Lauren was always responsive and flexible in working with us to carry out our dream wedding. Countless Rouge staff members checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were ok and provided for. Because we didn't have much time to eat, they even packaged food for us to enjoy as newlyweds back at our hotel. The best part: our guests could not stop RAVING about the food. ROUGE was amazing for our wedding at the American Visionary Arts Museum. From the very beginning imagining what we wanted, to creating a personalized menu, and executing an awesome party. The food and staff are superb and Jacqueline was great to answer tons of questions and give advice.

We were referred by our Wedding Coordinator (The Otherside Creatives) to Rouge Fine Catering for our May 29, 2020 wedding. We had a great experience with Amanda working with our budget and guest number to find a price and designing our delicious menu! Sadly, we had to move our date, venue and guest count due to COVID. Celeste and Jacqui worked with us through all the phases to still have our wedding during these crazy times. Jacqui helped me design several different menus from an upscale menu for 25 guests/micro wedding and then to 40 guests, all for us to come back to our original menu for a wedding of 75 guests, in my Mom's backyard and immediately arrived for a walk through. Our wedding day came and I cannot say enough about the servers, bartenders, and chef. The service and food were outstanding and have heard several times That was the best food I ve ever had at a wedding . Something that will stick with me through my experience with this wonderful company was throughout our amazing evening, each staff member made it a point to congratulate and compliment us on a fun and pretty wedding. They thanked us for having them at our wedding when we were so grateful for them! We will continue to rave about our experience to couples and I hope to enjoy their work at many events in the future!

Rouge did the catering for a Kick Off reception for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year campaign. The food, the presentation and the service (both pre-event and the night of) were exceptional! The menu was creative and delicious. The level of professionalism let's our staff focus on all the other details knowing that the food and beverage service will be flawless!

There aren't enough words to explain my feelings about the job Rouge did for my wedding. From the very beginning, all the way through to the very last minute cleaning up after the reception, they were the most professional and well oiled machine I've seen. I worked with both Jordan and Lauren throughout the planning process and they really know how to make a bride and her family feel special and important. They were flexible, helpful, professional, polite and most important had such a great attitude all along the way. My guests raved about the food and they made SURE that both me and the groom ate that night, both during and AFTER the wedding! They were absolutely fabulous! I highly recommend them!

ROUGE IS INCREDIBLE!!

We booked them for our wedding and it was easily the best decision we made. They couldn't have been more wonderful, professional, and helpful. Seriously. That's not just some dumb internet review jargon...they totally saved the day. We had a few weird requests...like wanting people to color on the dinner tables (while still making it look pretty) and needing a super specific white queso dip to be made, and Rouge knocked it out of the park.

The entire staff was so thorough in their approach to planning the event. It's kind of amazing to watch. Our point of contact, Kaitlyn, expertly helped us organize our menu, all the tiny details of the reception, and even had the staff bring the roster of hors d'oeuvres to us while we were taking post-ceremony pictures so we didn't miss any food (SUCH A NICE TOUCH). They really do think of everything so you don't have to.

The only disappointing thing about Rouge is that now nobody talks about how much they loved our ceremony, they just talk about how this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding :)

You are a complete fool if you use anyone else for your event.

There aren't enough good things I can say about my experience with Rouge Fine Catering. First and foremost, my manager, Kelly, was the stuff brides dream of. From the tasting, to the site visits, to timelines, and especially the day-of execution of our wedding everything was perfection. Our venue was Woodlawn in Alexandria so we were a bit nervous about the logistics of having an outside wedding, but Kelly and her team had everything covered. I'd always been weary of venues that have an exclusive caterer in the past, but I'm SO happy Woodlawn guided me to Rouge Fine Catering. Kelly and her team exceeded all of my expectations and I've even had several people tell me that the food was the best wedding food they'd ever had! Thank you, Rouge!!!

I can't speak highly enough about this place. Their team were amazingly attentive throughout the past 4 months of wedding planning and we're constantly involved to make sure we were taken care of. Our wedding went off amazingly and our guests couldn't stop raving about how amazing the food was. The people that were at the wedding working the event were polite and hard working and you could definitely tell they enjoyed what they did, it showed through their enthusiasm for making sure everyone was taken care of. Lauren Bowyer was our point of contact and organizer for the event and really made sure her team shined yesterday. We also wanted to thank Emily for personally taking care of the bride and also showing us a few dance moves while moving in-between the dance floor while working. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to cater a large event to please consider rouge. You will not be disappointed!

Working with Rouge was a great experience! We had a small budget and assumed that meant we would have limited offerings, however our experience was exactly the opposite. We contacted Rouge and discussed our budget with Jordan and she provided us a sample menu that far exceeded our expectations. We went in for a tasting which was an insane amount of food (seriously they give you a full meal) and everything we tried was great. They were very accommodating with the fact that I am a vegetarian, we had guests with food allergies, and even offered separate vegan meals for our vegan guests. Everyone was very friendly through the lead up to the wedding day and were great on the day of. Lauren our day of coordinator took care of everything and the night went very smoothly. All the servers and bartenders were great and everyone raved about the food - especially the cupcakes! Communication over the past year was informative and prompt - it really could not have been easier.

We hired Rouge to cater our May 2016 wedding at Evergreen Museum & Library - they truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect. I have to say that our catering manager, Jordan Bardel, was AMAZING from the moment we started working with her. She is super sharp, gave excellent advice and recommendations, always responded to emails and questions promptly, and made sure our event ran seamlessly. She was happy to help with additional tasks, like putting stickers on our favors, setting up our escort table and putting out our table numbers. We got so many compliments from our guests on the presentation and taste of the food at our wedding, especially the hor dourves during cocktail hour. Rouge's bar set up was also beautiful and surpassed my expectations. They also did our custom wedding cake through Sugarbakers, which turned out exactly like the photo I provided Jordan. Although Rouge was a little pricier than the other caterer we considered, it was absolutely worth every penny!

The one piece of advice I would give to other couples planning their wedding would be to keep in mind that once you sign the contract for your guest count, you can't lower it if you end up having less guests than anticipated. We had this happen, but Rouge did provide us with excellent additions to our menu to make up the difference. I did not have a wedding planner, and I am so grateful to Jordan for making sure our event ran so perfectly and beautifully. Thank you Jordan and the rest of the Rouge team!! :)

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Sarah Moses and her team did an outstanding job and held our hands through everything. Not only was the food and service incredible, she helped us with other wedding details that we hadn't even thought of. I highly reccomend using Rouge (and Sarah if she's available) for your next event. Our day was exactly how we wanted it plus more and we attribute that to the Rouge team.

Weeks after, we're still receiving notes from family and friends on how wonderful the food and service was! We did not have a wedding planner for our day but knowing that we had Sarah and team on our side with their expertise and experience made us feel like we were taken care of no matter what!

We fell in love with ROUGE in 2013, when my sister chose them to cater her wedding. The food was to die for! When my husband and I began planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to work with ROUGE, but also interviewed with another caterer to explore our options. Jordan Bardel and I began talking via email, where she sent us a survey to gauge our style of food that we enjoyed. She then developed a menu for us based on our taste. When we met with Jordan at ROUGE, we were immediately impressed by her professionalism, kindness, knowledgeability, and the amazing food! Our tasting included full portions of each entree we considered, passed appetizers, and even included wine with our complimentary tasting! Jordan was extremely flexible with us, and was very competitive with the other caterer we met with, agreeing to include in our overall cost some of the extra things we were looking for- champagne toast during our ceremony, additional children's meals, upgraded entrees and appetizers, a signature drink, etc. We had the pleasure of working with Jordan and ROUGE for the entire year leading up to our wedding. Jordan allowed us to make some changes to our menu throughout the whole process, helped us in selecting linens for our tables, and allowed us to bring in our alcohol for ROUGE to transport early, so that we wouldn't have to cart it back and forth.

The day of our wedding, ROUGE pretty much orchestrated the entire event. Tables were set in a timely manner, they were flexible with moving things around for us due to the rain (our ceremony was outdoors, we ended up under the tent halfway through!), and the food was absolutely delicious. Jordan made sure that my husband and I had enough to eat and drink during our busy night. Our guests have not stopped raving! The common theme of our wedding, and of my sister's wedding catered by ROUGE a few years ago: "This is the best wedding food I have ever had!" Thank you so much Jordan, and the entire ROUGE team, for helping to make our wedding day, and entire wedding planning experience, so wonderful!

ROUGE catering did a marvelous job at our wedding reception. From our first meeting with them we were treated with respect and professionalism ...the team is very responsive and explicit in their service offerings. They are willing to work with you on menu selections and go the extra mile for all operational aspects of the event. By the way, the food is DELICIOUS! My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Rouge. The pricing was competitive, the staff was friendly, and the event-day execution was flawless. They thought of the things that we didn't and over-delivered. We are extremely happy and satisfied.

Rouge helped make all my dreams come true! I recently just had my wedding catered by Rouge and they did an amazing job. In the planning stages, their team was able to answer all my questions and provide excellent recommendations. Sarah was amazing and helped set up the floor plan and worked directly with my venue. My venue actually closed 3 weeks before my wedding and Rouge didn't skip a beat! They were able to re located to a new venue and get everything lined up perfectly. They made sure the groom and I were fed and had a drink at all times! Also, the food was amazing. Every single one of my guests told me how amazing the food was. I could not have done this with out Rouge!

Rouge catered a corporate breakfast and lunch for me, for about 40 people. I'm usually not shy about sharing constructive criticism, and I can simply say that everything was perfect. The food was wonderful, the staff took care of all the details, arrived on time, served our group impeccably, and even thought to provide some goodies for security and facilities personnel who were nearby. Service, service, service! Rouge is simply amazing! From our food tasting through the wedding night, Rouge more than exceeded our expectations! On our wedding day it torrential down poured all day. Despite the terrible weather, there was not a single Rouge employee complaining or sitting around. They were outside in ponchos and rain boots, setting up hours before the ceremony. During the reception, we had a wonderful women, Tashia who made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. She was energetic, friendly and extremely helpful the entire night. Our events manager, Lauren was also awesome, checking in on us throughout the night, to make sure we had everything we needed. Not to mention the food... perfect! The food was as delicious as the day we tried it during our food tasting. We got soooo many compliments, saying it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. From the mashed potato bar, to the mango salmon and the taco station, people could not stop raving about how amazing the food was! Amazing!!! We worked with Sarah and she was fantastic. She answered my 73839 questions and was always kind, reassuring and flexible. The food was fantastic! Everyone kept saying how good it was and how beautifully presented. Sarah and her team set up so many little extra things like a favors table and folded and set up all my escort cars. Rouge did an excellent job for the Johns Hopkins Women's Board Best Dressed Sale. We worked with Lauren Bowyer and were very pleased with her responsiveness and professionalism. She arrived 3 hours before our party and didn't leave until everything was cleaned up. She was watching the whole time to make sure we had a flawless presentation. We highly recommend her and the Rouge team. Rouge served lite fare buffet for 250 people and everyone was very pleased with the quality of the food, presentation and the attentiveness of the staff. The bar was handled beautifully as well. It was a flawless, A++ presentation from beginning to end. We highly recommend them.

Rouge provided wonderful catering services for our Fall 2018 wedding! The food was fantastic and our wedding guests especially loved the appetizers and mini dessert pies! I still think about and crave their lemon blueberry, smores, and pumpkin pies frequently! Celeste was very kind, understanding, and dedicated in organizing our cocktail hour and reception. She made sure to personally address all of our concerns while coordinating with her staff to ensure our wedding day went smoothly. On the day of our wedding, the staff was very attentive to our guests and provided exceptional service. Thank you Rouge!

Rouge catered our wedding and they did a great job. The food tasted just as amazing as the taste testing (which, from what I understand, is a rarity amongst caterers). The chefs, cooks and management at Rouge are top notch. Lauren (manager) was very responsive and very attentive to any and all requests. If there was a request that was not immediately feasible, then she worked hard to find a solution. Would recommend to any one I personally know planning a wedding or large event.

Booking Rouge was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Their staff is extremely personable, accessible, and on top of every detail. The food was AMAZING and everything ran like clockwork. When we told our other vendors that we hired Rouge for catering, everyone was thrilled. Rouge has an a fantastic reputation and it's clear why. Great food, great service, and great people to work with!

It was really wonderful working with Rouge, from start to finish. Our venue had a limited list of approved caterers and we are very glad that Rouge was one of them.They are worth 10 out of 5 stars.

We primarily worked with Jackie, who was in charge of our event who was outstanding. She was very quick to respond to emails and easy to communicate with. We had a 200+ person wedding with inclement weather which was NOT easy. I can tell she did a TON behind the scenes and cannot thank her enough. Our cocktail hour had to be moved last second from the outdoor area all the way to the tent (not super close) due to thunderstorms starting 5 minutes after our ceremony and the change was executed flawlessly. In fact I was told that the service staff was ready with trays full of white wine for our guests while they walked from the ceremony to the tented cocktail hour space - a nice and thoughtful touch.

Food - amazing. Guests raved about the food all night and after the wedding. Very extensive options, you could have pretty much anything you can imagine. They cook their food on site which is unheard of. We made multiple changes to our menu without any problems, and they even were able to accommodate a couple of custom requests for us (we provided them with a couple of family recipes for cocktail hour). Service was excellent.

Pricing - great price especially for the quality. Included gratuity. We had a signing incentive of a free flavored water station on booking which was nice. The steal of the wedding, however, was the open bar - $9 per person which I still cannot believe, although I can imagine it cannot stay this low for long (especially given hour much our friends took advantage of it!!). The only kind of annoying thing was that there was no online portal for payment so we had to mail our checks in - made me uncomfortable to have that much money in the mail, even with tracking.

Extras - The rental came with utensils and china, though we did need to rent linens, though this was also contracted and coordinated through Rouge, which made it very convenient.

We have received DOZENS of compliments about the food at our wedding. Rouge and team are simply amazing. Everything was so perfect, though I wish I'd gotten more of the desserts because they looked awesome! I had a root beer float shot and it was fantastic. Everyone LOVED their dinner. Also, I'm glad no one saw me literally stuffing my face with items off the antipasti display before we were announced to come in. It was soooooo good. Your staff was delightful as well. You guys really made my day. My kudos to everyone. I hope I can work with you again in the future!

I seriously can't stress enough how amazing their service was for my wedding. I was 2 months away, and catering was the hardest (and for wedding planning the most important part) check on my checklist. They were the only place (out of very many) that QUICKLY responded to me and my inquires (I'm talking like 12 hours later). They catered (pun intended) to everything I needed. My budget was serious tight and they had an amazing menu to offer WITHOUT hidden costs, just a bottom line total, and when you have a wedding on your hands worried about all the hidden fine lines like the other vendors I hired had, was a huge weight off my shoulders. So, then the big day- they were on time, helped with a cake and cupcakes that I had delivered from anther vendor. But most importantly!!: I rented a lot of vintage props and when I arrived, I found they dropped off a lot of things in one big pile and took off. My stress level hit the roof and I start running around in full hair/make up/dress, trying tset everything up in 90 degree heat. People were coming in an hour. And Rouge and they're employees stepped forward and started helping me, without me asking because why would I ask them? It's not their job! But they ALL pitched in, lugging large trunks, wine barrels, wagon wheel, etc. all around my venue for me. Telling me to stop and relax, that have it handled. So without them, my wedding wouldn't have happened!! But enough about the best service I could have possibly imagined and onto the delicious food! Everything was perfect. Every single person complimented the food, the drinks, everything. They were amazing, delicious food, above and beyond service. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH!!

Rouge catered my daughter's wedding. From beginning to end Rouge handled all the details. The food was fantastic and the service outstanding. Emily was our coordinator and she was excellent! We had a large crowd and they were wowed by Rouge. We received many compliments on their food and service. I have even received hand written notes on what a spectacular wedding. We were original directed to Rouge by our reception venue along with 10+ other recommendations. We take eating very seriously in our house and your typical wedding menu was not going to cut it for us. After scouring all the potential caterers' websites, Rouge's menu stood out to us as the most diverse and modern.

From the moment we reached out to the Rouge team, the experience was extremely professional, reliable, collaborative and fun. Before we committed to using Rouge, we had a full tasting and tour of their extremely impressive Hunt Valley facility. I had it in my head that they were a "smaller" company, which certainly isn't the case. They are a well a very sophisticated, well-oiled machine. And at the same time they always made us feel special and important.

That first tasting sealed the deal and all subsequent tastings with other caterers didn't compare to Rouge. The food was absolutely outstanding and most of what we tried at our first tasting ended up on our wedding menu. What impressed me even more though was how much we felt like they wanted to work with us to make us happy. I knew we were going to be in great hands with Rouge and they did not disappoint.

Leading up to the wedding we were in constant communication with our catering manager, Katie Canarr. Saying that Katie is fantastic,dedicated to executing flawless events, a true partner, and a thoughtful leader may just be the understatement of the year. Katie exercised a tremendous amount of patience with our multiple menu flips and flops. She helped me work out our very tricky seating plan, our linen selections, the event's signature drink, last minute rental needs (hello space heaters in April!). Did I mention she dreamed up the world's best donut bar?? Fresh mini donuts served in a martini glass for our guests to top with the fixings of their choice? It was absolutely amazing and such a hit. Also, I never had to track down Katie. She was always one step ahead of me guiding me through the process, which is saying a lot because I was one persistent bride with a vision for what I wanted. She made the process fun, enjoyable and easy for me and my husband. Katie is an absolute rock star and our special day would not have been the same without her.

On our wedding day, everything was absolutely flawless. It was more than I ever expected with even a couple surprises for this very OCD, detail-oriented bride. The Rouge staff was top notch and we even had guests comment on the level of professionalism that their team displayed. They clearly take a lot of pride in what they do from start to finish.

Did I mention the food??? IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. It's been almost six months since our wedding and I still have family and friends talking about how delicious the food at our wedding was (seriously, when does that actually happen??). And they are not just saying it....they are gushing talking about specific items that they ate. Our appetizer selections included: BLT bites, coconut shrimp with mango dipping sauce, mini chicken tacos, duck confit crepes with plum sauce, brie tartlets with raspberry coulis. We served cornbread (YUM!) along with a mesclun salad with pear, cranberries, and gorgonzola. Dinner choices were either beef shortrib with a demi glaze or seafood vol au vent (unreal!) along with grilled asparagus and roasted rosemary fingerling potatoes. Then we served delish wedding cake along with the donut bar. It was a dynamite menu and a total home run with our guests!

I would recommend Rouge to anyone. I am already thinking of reasons that I may need to cater more events in the future just so I can work with them again. Seriously, I am very picky and they really, truly nailed it. Thank your Rouge team for making the most important day of our life so easy, memorable and delicious!!
