Lovely corn beef ash and the girls said the cheese and ham toastie were the best

Absolutely amazing! My wife and I wanted stcidy, comfortable sort of place to have a warm snack and happened upon 54 Ramsbottom. What a homely welcome! Everything was tidy and neat. Looking at the menu we thought : Scrumptious! and so it was. Served with enough banter without overboard. Food was gorgeous! Simple fair but just right for a couple who wanted simply to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of ordinary people who knew how to satisfy basic needs. We came back to Altrincham raving about the place and the two lovely people in the team.

Oh dear. On placing our order we were told to "shut up and sit down". After that I don't know what posessed me to stay for the food. Full english breakfast was ok but fried egg must have been re-heated in the microwave as yolk was rock hard. Will never go there again. Staff were so rude!

Worthy of a visit for the toilet, never seen one so tiny. On chocolate festival day the staff we very young and possibly tired, but not that welcoming. Not bad though.

Great food, great service, definitely worth a recommendation. Premises are a bit small and cramped, though.

They are a lovely couple, it is a very enjoyable visit each time we go.

Could not engage in conversation at the table for the noise.

This spot is the one I like best. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I keep coming back again and again. The team is very receptive and the cooking they place on your table is so good. I never decline to have a decent dinner in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Great breakfast nice staff, reading the plaques on the wall is a good way to pass the time

It's Friday 9.35am, made a detour to come here for breakfast. On their Google page it says open at 9am .. It is not, it is closed. Waste of time.
Update your hours.

What a find. Good food cooked to order. They did me cheese on toast on brown bread and it was the best I have ever tasted! As the food is cooked to order there was a wait for it to arrive, I did not mind as the walls are covered in inspirational plaques which I really enjoyed reading.

Lovely warm welcoming. Has a lot of regulars and locals meet up. The owners do come from Yorkshire,, but we don't hold it against them as they are a good sort

Great cappuccino, mediocre breakfast that cost me more in time and money than I'd have liked. Staff pleasant. Missus was happy with her ciabtta.

Amazing as always... fabulous food, fabulous coffees, fabulous cakes... oh and mustn't forget the friendly and fabulous owners.. Best cafe in Ramsbottom by far... we drive 8 miles to it as its that good...and fantastic that as of tomorrow, despite the 'lockdown' they will still be doing their delicious cakes and sandwiches, teas and coffees to take away

Visiting from Australia and popped in to have a coffee and bite to eat. Food was amazing, made to order. Owner was welcoming and nothing too much trouble, had yummy scones and jam too. Sitting here in Sydney thinking about it fondly. I will be back your the best cafe Ramsbottom has

A small cafe with a big heart for food! I can not recommend this place enough. Jackie and Dale are warm and welcoming, very down to earth. This is a perfect place to go if your looking for delicious food at great value. My personal favourite is the chicken goujon sandwhich! - but the poached eggs are spot on too!

The coffee was undrinkable four of us all left our drinks (two white coffees and two black teas)

Coffee cool should have sent it back. New people running it, don't seem experienced.

Dale and Jackie arrived in Ramsbottom and have a brilliant attitude to life , people and food ! Positive and enthusiastic, you can see they really love what they do and nothing is too much trouble . Fabulous chicken goujons, poached eggs on toast ( perfectly poached ) and amazing cakes wow they ve hit the ground running , are making lots of lovely new friends and we love it - well done you two x shop local , shop proud and be good at what you do good on ya xxx

Great menu at reasonable prices. Very clean place with friendly staff. I only had a toasted tea cake (which was delicious ) so can't comment on other food but it looked good and plentiful. They serve a good mug of tea. Went to a cafe down the road first but left when I saw the prices.

Popped in today for a bit of lunch. So glad we did. Best mushroom soup I have ever tasted, great chicken sandwich, bursting with tasty chicken. Soup so good, I ordered a carton to takeaway. Reasonable prices and best of all, lovely hosts who are still providing excellent friendly service, despite the obstacles Covid presents to small businesses. Definitely recommend and certainly be back.

Lovely little place, never been there before but would definitely go again. Food was amazing.
