I had surgery a few weeks ago and everyone was so nice, informative and good at their jobs. I had a sweet night nurse working in orthopedics named Leola or it might have been Leona. She never seemed to mind the middle of the night call lights or chatting briefly with me because I couldnt sleep. She was a very caring nurse. From the folks in admissions to the surgeon Dr. Weatherly, everyone was wonderful !!! I will choose RPMH for all my health care needs.

I took my 14 year old into the Rolling Plains Memo...

I took my 14 year old into the Rolling Plains Memorial ER due to a sore throat, fever, and body aches. The ER Doctor performed no tests of any kind. He stated that they were out of the rapid Covid tests. I asked if they could do the regular one. He stated no. What happened to the regular Flu, Strep, or sinus infection tests. By listening to his lungs and looking in his ears and throat he believed that it is Covid. No test to confirm. However I was told I could take him to Abilene. This exam took maybe fifteen minutes. The doctor asked me if I had been sick. I had a fever for a day and a half. He then stated oh you probably had it too and just got over it quick.
I maybe mistaken but I believe we pay high taxes for our Hospital. The community deserves better. This is supposed to be the most dangerous virus around. Who knew that it can be diagnosed by sight and hearing. Is this what we are paying for. If I have to go to Abilene for this kind of medical service then why am I paying taxes for the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

I was beginning to think no one in Sweetwater was interested in my health until I was treated at the Emergency Room at RPMH. I've never received better care! The entire staff was caring and helpful.

The ER was amazing when I had an accident and needed some work done on my head. I was seen quickly and they went above and beyond and even x-rayed my leg to be sure of no breaks. The surgery crew was also great when I had a procedure done. The cleanest hospital I've even been in as well.

I took my father into the emergency room today at ...

I took my father into the emergency room today at around 4 pm. He fell and hit his head and back. He is an elderly dialysis patient with congestive heart failure and diabetes. After he was brought back to his room I went back there. I could hear him hollering for help while the nurse sat literally not even ten feet away from where he was laying. The nurses name is Hydie (the staff refused to give me her last name). Then she stood there and laughed and pointed at me with the doctor. They had my father laying flat on his back and he couldn't breathe. She ignored him until I went off on her and had the doctor come. Then she said she couldn't find his chest ray records even though I could see them clear as day on the computer screen. I had to point them out to her. Then she lied to a police officer and said I threatened her. Which was a blatant lie. I never cursed or threatened. She told this lie because I had already said I was filling a complaint. And now I can't even go back to see my dad. It's 7:15 and I'm still here in the parking lot. I don't know what this nurses deal is but she has no business being a nurse. This is elderly abuse and she needs to be fired immediately. I plan to take this to the furthest possible level of proper channels. Nobody should be treated like this. Especially considering how much we pay for medical care.

My dad recently had an out patient surgery. I drove from New Mexico to pick him up and was greeted kindly and immediately. They treated my dad with great respect and just like he was their family member. Thank goodness for the kindness they showed him. I am fairly far away and feel so much better knowing there is good people in this world that I can count on.

They took good care of my father. Found out what was wrong and helped him. Was really good at telling us what was needed to help better him. They treated him like family, listening to him and feeding him good. I can not recommend a better place to take your loved one's.

In the last year, my parents and step parents have been patients at Rolling Plains and the care they received was fantastic! My step father described it as "top notch!" The nurses, therapist, doctors and surgeons are kind, and very knowledgeable. We are very proud and pleased with our hospital!

A smaller hospital with modern amenities and a down to earth staff that cares about there patience safety and well being as well as each other and their work environment. Average wait is around 20 minutes on a normal shift which makes it preferred over waiting hours and hours in bigger hospitals in bigger cities which makes it worth the drive from cities like Abilene and San Angelo and in between. Come by and check out the brand new modern O.B. Ward with new security systems including Monitored Video Surveillance to assure your families safety as well a new M.R.I. Wing, soon to come is a Dialysis Treatment Center and a newly remodeled Intensive Care Wing, growing like weeds :)
