Every time the wind blows over five miles per hour the power goes out at my house. You would think we live in a third world country instead of just off state street in midvale. I have never been given any reason or explanation. Rocky Mountain power just seems to have very poor infrastructure that is never improved. If I could pay more for improvements or go with another option I would. I wouldn t write this review if this didn t happen several times a month.

Taking over a month to connect temporary power pole. They can't tell me when it will be done and told me they would call me when they had someone going to the site. They never called. Followed up again and they said they couldn't hook it up and just left the site and couldn't tell me why? Had to wait to for them to call me back to figure out why. It's one thing if a power company says they don't want to service you but when your forced to use an incompetent Company and have no other options in another company it gets frustrating!!

I always had automated payments setup. I moved and closed my account (in July) and verified that I had no remaining payments. A month after, I log onto my account to verify that I have no remaining balance and verify that my account is in fact closed with no balance showing. Sept 28th I receive a letter in the mail saying that my overdue balance has been sent to collections. I call Rocky Mountain Power and the first person says I pay Rocky Mountain. The second person says I pay the debt collector. Please keep in mind that I never received a notification about a past due amount and could have avoided the entire situation.

Even a simple phone call would have avoided a negative experience versus automatically sending a $39 balance to a debt collector. Completely unacceptable.

I just talked to Jay. I asked about a service they no longer provide. He looked up places that could help me. Wow! He certainly didn t have to but he did! I am not too familiar with my phone & his kindness should not go unnoticed.

Literally the most unreliable power company I ve come across in my life. If you re west of liberty park in salt lake if you so much as look at power lines the wrong way your power will go out. Also ZERO urgency to get it back on.

We are the only block without power in our area. Every surrounding block has power. Our power has been off since yesterday and their ETAs are BOGUS. You know what is most upsetting? I walked around our block and there is ZERO workers present at all. None. Do you guys even try??

Rocky Mountain Power SUCKS!
Can't say i wasn't warned before hand.
Everyone you talk to tells you something different. If you get told you're on the schedule you better tripple check it because you probably really aren't.
It's incredible that such a big company can be unorganized

I can't say enough good things about RMP, starting with Ian, Kelly, Adrian, Daniel, Tito and the rest of the crew. If not for them our guests here at Pony Express RV Resort in NSL would have been so put out. The RMP crews came through for us in a stellar fashion. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...

The power has gone out without explanation to my entire apartment complex 3 or 4 times in the past year alone. No storm, no sudden heat wave, it just goes out. Considering the complex is just down the street from the main offices, and they can't manage to keep the power stable, this is an absolute joke. Be great to get a more reliable power company, but monopolizing the entire power supply for all of Utah is totally great, right?
