Came here for there first open house held soon after work had begun at the place, with my dad and then went to another one held the next week with the rest of my family. The tours of the place at the open houses were informative, enjoyable and the tour guide was always nice. The place is very amazing. The place is doing a lot to be an extremely green building. For example they put in a rain water collecting system that would be used once it became legal in the state. This was built when it was illegal to collect rain water which recently was changed (recently as of writing this review). The place is awesome and sounds like an amazing place to work.

About Rocky mountain institute

Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to transforming the global energy system. The institute was founded in 1982 by Amory Lovins and Hunter Lovins, with the aim of creating a clean, prosperous, zero-carbon future for all. RMI has been at the forefront of energy innovation for over three decades and has played a key role in shaping the way we think about energy.

The mission of RMI is to accelerate the transition to a clean energy future by driving innovation and market solutions that transform global energy use. The institute works with businesses, governments, and communities around the world to develop practical solutions that reduce carbon emissions while also improving economic prosperity.

One of RMI's core areas of focus is on renewable energy. The institute believes that renewable sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal power can provide a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. To this end, RMI works with businesses and governments to develop policies and strategies that promote renewable energy adoption.

Another area where RMI has made significant contributions is in building efficiency. Buildings are responsible for a significant portion of global carbon emissions, but through innovative design and technology solutions they can be made more efficient. RMI works with architects, engineers, builders, and policymakers to create buildings that are not only environmentally friendly but also cost-effective.

RMI also focuses on transportation as an area where significant progress can be made towards reducing carbon emissions. The institute advocates for electric vehicles (EVs) as an alternative to traditional gasoline-powered cars. EVs have come down in price significantly over recent years making them more accessible than ever before.

In addition to its work on renewable energy sources like solar power or wind turbines; building efficiency; transportation alternatives such as electric vehicles (EVs), Rocky Mountain Institute also focuses on policy advocacy at both local levels within communities across America or globally through international organizations like United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

RMI's approach involves working collaboratively with stakeholders from different sectors including government agencies; private sector companies; academic institutions; NGOs/non-profits groups etc., bringing together diverse perspectives towards finding common ground solutions which benefit everyone involved while addressing climate change challenges head-on.

Overall Rocky Mountain Institute's work spans across multiple sectors including Energy & Resources Efficiency Solutions; Mobility & Transportation Alternatives; Climate Resilience & Adaptation Strategies among others - all aimed at achieving their vision: "A world thriving resiliently without fossil fuels."

In conclusion,Rocky Mountain Institute has been instrumental in driving innovation towards creating sustainable alternatives for our planet's future generations by promoting clean technologies such as renewables like solar power or wind turbines along with advocating policy changes needed at local levels within communities across America or globally through international organizations like UNFCCC - all aimed at achieving their vision: "A world thriving resiliently without fossil fuels."
