This is an amazing resource for people who are out of work or underemployed. I was required to come here during a time of unemployment and the staff was really great.

Lady was very rude,would not let me speak when i only had a question to ask. Will never refer someone here. Very bad experience.

I would highly recommend RochesterWorks Goodman St. branch for anyone who is serious about finding a job. A wonderful service with a very talented staff. They truly have your best interest at hand and can help.

I don't like the fact that when I call they don't return my call. I called for a week in half every other day. I finally was upset enough to go down there to try to be seen, but I was told that I would have to make appt and some one will call me, that was two days ago and no call. If I can't get a appointment by the first of the week, I could be evict. I am on social security disability, so I need to see the ticket to work specialist. S.S.Disability only pays 800 dollars and I need a job fast after just having a new baby. This really is unacceptable and there is no other place that can help so they know you have no choice.

The apathy of the individuals working here is no doubt a result of the abysmal candidates that walk through the door. I tried to go in there to talk to an advocate, and the person up front just kept handing me pieces of paper telling me to make phone calls to all these departments. as I called the department I was hung up on by their automated voice answering machines over and ober.
So now once again at a dead end, this is why people don't reach out to the government or it's offices for help thanks for nothing Rochester works.

It is actually a contractor company which serves the state, so they are unusually friendly and efficient. Waiting is minimal and workers are friendly and try to help.
Free computers with internet, a pretty happy place.
Some job ads are posted and there are some job fairs weekly.
They also give you a printout how to get a live person in NYS dept of labor to verify the claim - this instruction works well.

The staff is great, and waiting is minimal however after all my information was collected there was very little they could do for me. I don't need to use their computers, I have one at home. The biggest help was provided to me regarding my resume. The agent was very helpful in pointing out what was wrong with my resume and what I need to change. But after that there was nothing else there for me. Still I would recommend this place to anyone serious about job searches and preparations. As there are some work classes available for those who could benefit from going over the very basics of resume building, networking and interviews.

Rochester Works is a wonderful resource for job seekers. Great employees who are knowledgeable, competent, and caring! I would highly recommend the workshops and networking opportunities. They also offer helpful one-on-one counseling appointments.

While the staff has a friendly disposition, the biggest problem at this location is that one person follows the rules and then another does not on staff. It is only when it is convenient for them. I do not have time for constant run around with things that take up MY TIME while I AM THE ONE LOOKING FOR A JOB. This is not a organized and efficient way for each person to be dealt with on a one-on-one basis. This is a center that is supposed to make things easier for the people that come to use the computers and services so that they can get back into the workforce. NOT CREATE OBSTACLES! I asked to speak to the manager about services and I was told that the manager of this location may be busy at this time. If you are a center that is concerned with the services that your local residents are receiving, then you have time to listen to the concerns of those people so that you can make adjustments to the function of your office. NOT LET YOUR CUSTOMERS CONTINUE TO ENCOUNTER THE SAME PROBLEMS!!!!!!
