Robert Hall & Associates - Tax Consultants Reviews

My husband and I have been filing our taxes at Robert Hall & Associates, with Tony Watson and Philip Duncan, for 10 years, because they specialize in Real Estate taxes and are amazing consultants in our professional field. They take so much time to consult with us, as we have to itemize our deductions for taxes. We've been going to Tony or Phil every year, depending who's available the day we need an appointment, and both are excellent. They always are available to answer our calls or emails when we have questions before or after our apartments.

My mom was an H&R Block graduate many moons ago and in college I took an accounting course with a professor who was encouraging of doing your own tax returns, and at the time he had all the nuances we needed to be aware of. That was great in 1996. The last couple of years have been brutal trying to do this myself and with my parent's passing in 2020, I finally threw in the towel and decided to hire someone.

I read the reviews and along with proximity to my own San Fernando Valley living, I decided to give Robert Hall & Associates a try.

Wow.

Mariana was fantastic! Heck the whole staff I worked with was friendly and supportive. My tax returns were done extremely quickly and with little effort on my part with a much better result than anything I could have put together myself.

The one issue I did have was uploading all my paperwork, it was a bit confusing at first. Once I figured it out though, I loaded up all my 2019 and 2020 information and Mariana had both returns down within a couple hours.

As one who did a lot of gig work on the side, I am grateful for all the work Marianna put in for me. I could not have done this on my own and I DEFINITELY recommend Robert Hall & Associates for your tax needs!

One final note, some on here have mentioned this service being expensive. It isn't. Yes, you could probably get a less expensive service at Jackson Hewitt or something but last time I did that, it cost me an extra couple grand to the IRS when it should not have. I'd much rather pay a couple hundred extra dollars to Robert Hall & Associates than a couple extra grand to the IRS.

I have been going to RH&A for over ten years. I have recommended RH&A to all of my friends. At the end of 2015 we opened a small business and I use to do our bookkeeping but as our business grew it was evident we needed a pro. RH&A recommended a wonderful bookkeeper who is fantastic. She's patient and explains everything plus she works easily with my tax preparer at RH&A. My go to guy is Chike. He is a PRO and always responsive to any of our questions. We have been working with Daniel Passon for close to a decade and have never had a bad experience. He is always personable and answers my many questions. We've gone from a fairly simple tax return to having to do both personal and corporate and he's made it all smooth and easy. Tony Watson at Robert Hall is always great to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable on all tax related issues, which obviously helps you save money. He is also very good at explaining everything, and takes the time to chat with you and not make everything so formal. I'd recommend Tony to anyone who wants a professional, personable and highly competent and tax advisor!

Their knowledge and patience in walking the customer through different tax scenarios have always been a plus. We've been going to Robert Hall for our tax concerns for eleven years. We always have the help of Mike Watson. Mike is both pleasurable and extremely competent. Mike is always professional and makes you feel that he has your best interests at heart.

I've been coming here for about 5 years now. Our taxes are not overly complicated. I've filed myself a couple of times and also used the usual quickie places (H&R Block, etc.) in the past. Robert Hall & Associates always gets me far greater results with no frustrations. I'm happy to pay professional prices for professional results!
