Small no-frills hotel. Was clean. Staff was friendly. Front desk staff could be more educated about the hours of local eateries. We arrived late at night -11pm- and wanted to get something and the front desk person could not give us any information about a sit-down place to eat. Parking lot is too small to accommodate all cars when hotel is full. We had to park on the grass in the alley next to the hotel.

The only ice rink on Neville island. I go to this ice rink when I feel like ice skating and I happen to be on Neville island. Much better than trying to skate on a lake.
Nice place to skate all year round. Cost is around $7 plus $3 for skate rentals. I believe Friday night sessions are just a flat $10. It is reasonably warm if you're not on the rink or sitting in the stands (nice if you're a parent wanting to watch younger kids do their thing). Staff was friendly, security guys kept watch of the place, and they have a really nice snack area (Starbucks coffee inside if you need a pick me up). They have little plastic "walkers" for little kids to hold onto if they want to go out on the ice...or I guess big kids/adults that have no clue how to skate...I tried to get my 35 year old friend to use one but he resisted. Only criticism would be that rental skate blades were very dull (They could use more frequent sharpening) and they did not zamboni the ice once in over 3 hours and it was quite choppy....especially on a Friday night where you get a lot of skate traffic. Overall not a bad place to take your kids for a night out any time of the year really.
Friend was told they had to take their dog to the car today when we had a game behind the bubble. When they said there is no sign that says no dogs they were told to by the RMU officer he was the verbal sign... That doesn't make sense. If you don't want dogs just put a sign in front of the field.
Went for a bridal shower. Nice space. Acoustics were not good as it was hard to hear announcements, comments of the bride to be as she opened her gifts. Good location for a small party, less than 100 people.
They have a good indoor range with quality mats. Putting green and sand shot area also. The only downside is it's often very busy and people will use a space for an extended period of time, talking, taking long breaks and not giving up their space regardless of how busy it is. The facility should discourage this behavior.
Good place to play hockey, learn to skate, watch college hockey. On site pro shop, food court available. Indoor golf dome, outdoor mini golf and a full track n field track.
Visited this facility for a hockey tournament. The three rinks are nice. The outdoor rink ice was in poor shape. The locker rooms are worn but in good shape. They do have overflow locker rooms that are just office cubicles (not secure and not big enough for an entire team). Ample parking is available and the snack bar is reasonably priced.
I go to Robert Morris for golf practice and it s a great place. I always find a spot and the staff is also very helpful. I also took some classes from Jim and he is very good. The place is very reasonably priced.
Nice facility with 2 indoor ice rinks and 2 covered outdoor inline hockey rinks. A LOT OF INLINE HOCKEY PLAYERS wish they would resurface the outdoor inline rinks with new sport court surface. It is damaged in many spots and is a hazard for the players. It is the same surface since the facility opened 20 years ago. We all know they can afford it. This is the only reason I am giving it 3 stars.
Hat Trick room Was there for a graduation party venue was really nice. Outdoor covered patio nice view of the river and if you're more into ice hockey a nice view of the indoor rink.
Friendly staff. Public skates are enjoyable except when they don't cut the ice before public skate (from my understanding they don t cut the ice before Wednesday night and Saturday public skate) or when kids go flying around rink or figure skaters use whole rink to practice. The power skating lessons are run by a very knowledgeable, well respected in the hockey community, and friendly instructor but the classes are too big resulting in no individual instruction if the skater is doing the drill incorrectly or needs help learning how to properly perform the drill.
Amazing facility. They put on a fabulous holiday show and the building is always clean, the staff always friendly, and they have the best concession area I've seen in a skating rink. Keep up the great work!
The mini-golf is a lot of fun, and the hockey is D1, so they're playing on a high level. Cheap tickets and good hockey makes it a go-to for a winter night-out.
The learn to play program is great. My son has learned so much. He'd never even skated before and after only a few minutes coach Bob had him up and skating!
Really good facility for a wide range of offerings. Catch an RMU game, skate on the other rinks, bring your clubs and use the indoor driving range, and in the summer hit up the putt putt course. If you are/were an RMU student, bring your ID for some extra discounts.
This sports center is a great place to spend time for all ages. The RMU hockey is worth seeing (Mens and Womens), the rink is fun to skate around, and the food selection is great when you need a break. Also, on some game days, the hockey teams get the RMU band there playing and they rock!
I purchased skate lessons for the skate school. And it was my little brothers first time learning to skate. Instead of actual instructors teaching his group, it was two teenage girls! They didnt pay attention to each kid, they didnt teach right like the actual instructors teaching other groups near him either. They wouldn't hold him up to teach him how to move his feet for certain moves, and they didnt even do the parts where you draw on the ice to show the kids how to move their feet like the other instructors were doing. And these two teenagers kept saying things like "How many times do I need to tell you to not do this!" And were terrible teachers and were mean. If your going to buy classes for a child (not the little stars programs, those are good) make sure actual teachers are assigned to your kid. I'm not saying the lessons are bad, they are well structured, just make sure an actual teacher is teaching the lesson.
