Go to a real hospital. There are so many excellent choices for medical care in the area, riverview shouldn t even be considered as a choice.
Don t work here either. It is an unwelcoming, bullying, wretched place to work. Supervisors say negative things about employees and complain nonstop. Miserable people to work with that have nothing better to do than aggravate you, try to get you in trouble, and basically enjoy trying to ruin your life. Manager fired for shoving an employee, another person fired for physically assaulting a coworker. This place is nothing but trash. The medical care is a joke. I had two surgeries here and have to have a third to fix the mess they made. This place has a bad reputation for a reason.

Do not recommend this hospital. I visited Monday and was cared by Nurse Lisa and she did not check my blood pressure after I complained of being light headed, dizzy, and weak. She falsely documented my BP as 122/77 which was false, she would not know because she did not check it. After complaining multiple times about my BP, finding out I have a virus and still leaving feeling dizzy, light headed and weak- When I called the hospital today and yesterday they treated me like I was lying about this, they said they spoke with the nurse and they have it documented so there s nothing else they can do for me, besides see me again and bill me again, it s all about money. They don t really care if you re BP is high enough to be having a stroke, as long as they get paid. They are more worried about following up with you the next day to get the COVID vaccine or infusion than they are about your overall well-being. So sad because I absolutely love this hospital, especially the maternity and womens center, stay away from the ER if you can!!!!

BILLING & HIPAA ISSUES: I had a PCP there a few years ago and stopped going when they billed my preventative care visit incorrectly. I even gave the nurse and the doctor a document explaining the limited purpose of my visit and the billing code to use. They billed incorrectly and when I pointed it out rather than making it right they sent it to collections. I decided then to never do business with them again.

Present day: I haven't interacted with Riverview in years, and I get a bill in the mail for ER services that were never rendered to me. They list procedures that were performed on someone else and billed me and my insurance. If they're sharing someone else's information with me I wonder who they're sharing my information with... stay away.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with the maternity ward here this weekend. I came in Thursday in extreme pain having labor contractions and was seen immediately upon arrival. Because of their prompt response I was able to get an epidural before it was too late and the birth of my daughter was painless and went perfectly. Immediately after birth my daughter and I were given an hour of private and peaceful bonding time. We were then taken to a suite which was spotless and more like a hotel room than a hospital room. We were given plenty of diapers and wipes and my daughter always had clean clothes and blankets to wear. Whenever I had an issue or just needed a new gown it was immediately tended to. The nurses were just excellent. I felt so cared for and was treated with so much respect and compassion- they never delayed checking on the two of us in our room and even sat on my bed with me and comforted me while I was crying scared and worried about my daughter's health. They treated my baby girl with the utmost care and made her wellbeing their #1 priority. The room service was also great, the staff is friendly and quick and they have a variety of food to pick from. Today is the day after discharge and I received a phone call this afternoon from them checking up on specific issues I was having and offering me free postpartum and breastfeeding support. It was an absolutely amazing experience and on my first night back home I was actually sad to have left. It was the perfect birth for a first time mother and unless other circumstances arise I would like to have my future children here as well. They provide all the care and compassion a mother and baby deserve.

I was stupid, and riverview treated the result of that stupidity, but, the new management is very bad! The people who bought riverview health are idiots! They do not know what health care is! So many elite doctors left as a result of the time cinstrictions given! Its one thing to lose a rookie, but several elite medical personell is a bad sign, also, descriminates between vaccinated and unvaccinated, not acceptable.

Just had hand surgery (2 fingers - tendon release, carpal tunnel release) with Dr. S. Jacobsen. While I don t recall all the names, the nurses were wonderful and everyone very helpful and friendly. Surgery went smoothly with no issues. High praise for the Doc, anesthesiologist (sorry, don t recall his name but he was terrific and answered all my questions/concerns), and support staff.

Have gone to this hospital for years only because the primary physician we see is associated with this hospital. After the treatment that my entire family has experienced over the last month with the emergency room, the infusion center, and icu nurse we will not only never step foot in Riverview again but we are also changing doctors ... this doctor is amazing and one of the only truly smart physicians I have encountered. We would give up a physician in order to avoid all things Riverview. Everyone that we have encountered should lose their license to practice any type of medicine. Just don't, there are so many better hospitals just a short distance from Riverview. My best advice is do NOT ever take a child there and expect any kind of kindness or compassion from any of these nurses or doctors. When an er nurse is angry that people are coming to the er because they "can't get their stuff done" and the infusion center makes passive aggressive comments about not getting a vaccine that medically one can't have ... they all deserve to be without a job and this hospital should be shut down.

I was admitted for breathing problems and a chest xray showed possible bronchitis in 1 lung, pneumonia in the other. I was there 3 days and had the best care! I loved my nurses and doctors! I know where to return if I ever need hospital care again.
