Very friendly efficient vet very attentive to my baby girl explained in great depth what she was going to do look for and what was going to happen next if the medication and examination ultra sound didn't work. Hopefully today was the last visit of many

Quite simply the best vets practice for miles around.
These vets are there for the welfare of the pets they treat and not to squeeze as much money as possible out of you, like some franchise vets that say they save you money!
All three staff, from the nurses and reception staff up to the vets themselves are very competent, calm and efficient.
I would recommend them to any pet owner.

I have always had every confidence in the practice, when I needed them they have been there, even reviewed my dogs health on a Sunday, we all get things wrong sometimes but they are few so the negative feedback is not warranted for such an excellent practice and I will continue to use them.

Great Vets. Discovered this place a couple of years ago when we moved to the area. Great advice, very understanding, value for money, easy to get an appointment, go out of their way to help. Caring and understanding Reception staff. Couldn't have done more to help when I recently had to have my 18 year old Lhasa put to sleep (he had a good innings). Would definitely recommend. One minor point is sometimes it can be hard to get through on the phone, though that seems to have improved the last couple of times I rang. More lines or a callback service would be a good idea.

Riverside vets are a really friendly and professional team from the receptionists to the vet nurses and the actual veterinary surgeons themselves. I have used them for many years and never had any cause to complain

Caring friendly and very knowledgeable staff on duty at all times. This team really do know how to care for animals and also the new or recently bereft owners.
Have been using them for years, and there has never been an animal they couldn't help. ( Wild and pets). They also support numerous other animal charities ( see the thank you certificates on the walls).
Supportive, clever and really friendly service. Thank you for all your animal care.

This vets goes above and beyond any other vets that we have used in the past. The vets and staff are so, so dedicated and understanding. The staff go out of there way to help you as much as they can.
It's a pity we will not be having another little dog as this veterinary practice is old school and a very rare breed. Thank you for all you have done for us.

Advertised 24/7 care but do not staff offices overnight. Left a post op dog to die alone. Vet Elizabeth Law was found to have behaved below standards expected of a vet. Their excuse? They're a small place and dont have the staff! Avoid as they put money and staffing issues before animals welfare. Elizabeth Law should not be allowed near animals again. Cash before care.

Riverside had been my mum & dad's vets for their numerous cats for years. All cats have now passed away and the service they received was very good & with care.
I was a qualified veterinary nurse for 17 years, in first & second opinion practice, so I know the profession very well. A 24/7 practice does not always mean it is staffed for 24 hours, it often just means it supplies a service to see your pet out of hours. I have worked in such practice. It needs to be made clear in any emergency that a pet may not have 24 hour care post operatively, and the vets judgement should be clear in this and explained to the owner. Sadly, I have known pets to die out of hours, as staff are not or cannot always be there to check on the animals. If you operate on an emergency case, then staff should be present to monitor, at least to check on the animal every few hours or so and not be left to chance. The owner will have signed a consent form before treatment, which states everything that can go wrong, however, a stressed owner needs to understand what they are signing, it works both ways.
I do not believe the vet behaved intentionally negligently, but should have used more caution in this case and perhaps explained the possible outcome, given the particular 24/7 circumstances of this practice.
