Great campground. Always clean. Cliff, the camp host, and his wife are always friendly and willing to help out all the campers.

Cool river side campground. Short walk to the river with good fishing up and down it. Mountains to climb on the other side. Lots of people and designated camping areas. Cool spot.
Nice campground. Over attentive camp host. Clean and right near the river.
Nice USFS campground. Jeff the host keeps things really clean. Good proximity to the river. Surrounded by forest and mountains.
Nice shade, close to river and the cleanest nicest smelling bathrooms I have ever had the privilege to use. Larry and Kathy do a wonderful job at keeping everything very clean. Will be back soon and often!!!
This place is absolutely gorgeous. No cell service - but if that is what you're looking for you're missing the point of calling. Super quiet and friendly. Kid safe and dog friendly. The river was beautiful and the camp host was very nice. Pleasant experience and I plan on coming back in the future.
We only fished the river. Caught 7 fish in 4 hours. Kids had a blast running around, fishing, riding bikes. Bring sunscreen!!!
Moms first camping trip in 30 years and she loved it.
Beautiful location and a quick drive from Colorado Springs. There is a $6 per day vehicle fee to enter the canyon. The campground itself was well maintained. Facilities are limited with pit toilets and no running water.
Crowded. It's a beautiful location but campsites are very close to each other and you'll hear every little noise. Cliff was a great camp post. When we were there it was mostly families. Bathroom smells were pretty strong. Most of my things smelled like the bathroom when we left. I gave it four stars because the location makes up for a lot
Very cramped feeling. Sites very close together. Road in is really rough. At the entrance to the canyon sign posted said $7, at the campsite fee posted said $17 a day. Really not worth $17
Absolutely gorgeous. We did not camp, but we visited for the day, fishing the entire canyon. It was amazing. The best part of our trip by far. Bring water shoes or waders, your own lunch, comfortable walking shoes, and a camera.
Serene! Hadn't traveled in years, so new to regulated parking areas. Should post at entrance that RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Host was nice enough to let me stay anyway.
Home is where the tent is. Limit of fish everyday. Wanna go back!
There was some variety of campsites, but most that I saw were on a steep gradient. The area that was flat and intended for our tent was too small for our family tent so we had to pitch it on the hill. The bathroom had a lot of flies, a sticky trap or something similar would do a lot of good. We had a great time in the river!
Good location. They have vault bathrooms on both sides of the campsite ... nice views ... the host wasn't available but we got wood from another host/campground ... no water available but luckily we always bring extra. Our dogs loved it ... they have walk-in campsites ... it cost 16 bucks to camp ... a little walk across the street is the river ... they have a few benches to sit and relax. Would come again ... great fishing along the canyon ...
Primitive camping sites are close to the road and to non primitive sites. No camp site host around so the generators and drinking around the propane lights went on until 2 AM!
One of my favorite places. Fishing and a trail of hiking.
Nice out of the way CG. 3 back in sites for big rigs, 40' or larger at Riverside CG. West up the canyon not recommended for big rigs. Would be great in off season. But not recommended for the person looking for tranquil camping in the summer. Heavily fished streams, didn't see anyone catching a thing. $17 / night. 50% off for Senior Pass. Pit Toilets were very clean, nice clean area overall. Water tank with spigot for fresh potable water in jugs only. No electric, dump, or playgrounds for kids. We have a 2109s Rockwood Mini Lite, fit great in Site #1 which is a drive up and non-reservable site.
Easy to get to. Camp Host Cliff is very helpful. Clean facilities.
The camp hosts Cliff & Alice were the best and really like kids over dogs!
Site #1 is great. Campground host is friendly and knowledgeable. Just wish they had hookups.
Excellent camping, clean facilities, no bears, the crows and magpies will take food off your table if you leave it though.
Nice place, small campground which is nice (12 sites or so). Camp host is pleasant, keeps the campground very clean - great job, Cliff! Dry, dusty campground, though (hot August). Across the road from the river. Easy access to water, flat areas where you can set out a towel or chair and wade or fish. Haven't been here before, and wanted to try something different. I prefer a campground closer to the river without having to cross the road (I tend to bring a lot of things to the riverside). That's why I give 4 stars. Else it's just fine. Note: when it's really hot, like it was for our trip, all the campers and RVs run their generators....sometimes all day long.
Excellent sites, close enough to town to get away for the day. Family of 6 set up our Big Agnes and 3 hammocks in the trees! Aside from typical camp problems (noisy neighbors despite being several 100 yds away) we had an outstanding experience!
Excellent for family and pets very clean, tidy and very organized. Widely recommended
Great campground! No electricity,no running water (potable) so plan appropriately but site 14 is the perfect family spot?
Beautiful area and well equipped/maintained camping areas.
