I really enjoyed my cruise on the CT River to view the Tree Swallows. Very comfortable boat, closed in cabin with tables and chairs to enjoy or picnic dinner that we brought, large windows that slid open if you choose to stay inside . Very nice staff that passed out binoculars to all. They had a keen eye to point out the Eagles. We got to see thousands of Swallows swarming. Thumbs up to the staff.

We took the eagle/osprey spotting cruise in the morning on 4/11/2021. Very pleasant experience. The narration was very informative. They had binoculars to lend everyone for the duration of the trip, which took 2.5 hrs. We saw 11 eagles, some in flight, some in their nest, and some roosting. There were as many, if not more ospreys. There was even a heron nesting, and another flying. All in all a worthwhile excursion.

Had a wonderful and informative eagle & osprey cruise on the Connecticut river yesterday. This is an annual event for my husband and I, followed by lunch at the Gelston House directly across the river. I do have one issue: this is a nature cruise, and surprisingly, smoking is allowed on the top deck (which is the best place for a great, unobstructed view). I caught smoke in the face several times. Plus, they threw the butts in the river when done. For the sake of the other passengers and the river, no way should smoking be allowed on this boat.

We had an excellent couple of hours on the CT river yesterday on the eagle watch cruise. We saw at least 12 eagles (they only count on the way up river) and at least that many on the way back. We also saw 2 seals and numerous other waterfowl. The crew is excellent and provide very informative narration during the whole trip. It's not a big boat (max 40 or so) but there's plenty of room both inside and outside for everyone. They even serve hot drinks on board. Your ticket also gives you admission to the CT River Museum, where the boat leaves from. I highly recommend this trip.

What a wonderful thing to do.

What a wonderful thing to do.
Mark and mindy are great.
The boat trip was so worth it.
All the lovely homes on the river where huge and vet interesting.
The best part was seeing an eagle and two ospreys go at it.
Then there's marks homemade key lime pie.
Would love to do it again!
