Rivermead Inclusive Trust: Providing Quality Education for All
The Rivermead Inclusive Trust (RIT) is a multi-academy trust that was founded in 2016 by the Headteacher and Governors of Rivermead School. The trust is committed to providing quality education for all students, regardless of their background or ability.
At RIT, we believe that every child has the right to a high-quality education that prepares them for success in life. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported, and where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our core values are at the heart of everything we do at RIT. We believe in promoting respect, responsibility, resilience, honesty, kindness and empathy among our students. These values help us create a positive learning environment where everyone feels safe and respected.
We currently have six schools under our umbrella - Rivermead School (our founding school), Moorlands Primary Academy, St John's CofE Primary School & Nursery Unit , Theale Green School , Kennet Valley Primary School , Springfield Primary School . Each school has its own unique character but shares our commitment to providing an outstanding education for all children.
Our schools offer a broad curriculum that includes academic subjects as well as music, art, drama and sports. We also provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills through programs such as student councils or peer mentoring schemes.
In addition to academic excellence, we place great emphasis on pastoral care at RIT. Our staff work closely with parents/carers to ensure that each child receives the support they need both inside and outside of school hours. We also have specialist teams who provide additional support for children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
We are proud of our achievements so far at RIT but we know there is always room for improvement. That's why we are constantly reviewing our practices and seeking feedback from parents, students and staff. We are committed to providing the best possible education for all our students and we will continue to work hard to achieve this goal.
In recent news, RIT has announced that it will be entering into a 'merger' consultation with Academy of Woodlands. This is an exciting development for both trusts as it will allow us to share resources and expertise, which in turn will benefit our students. We are confident that this merger will help us achieve even greater success in the future.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a trust that is committed to providing quality education for all children, then look no further than Rivermead Inclusive Trust. Our core values of respect, responsibility, resilience, honesty kindness and empathy underpin everything we do at RIT. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Join us on our journey towards excellence!
