Pretty much the only reason to be in Wisconsin.
Honestly, this is a great place. Obviously, if you're coming here, you know all the reasons why. Plus, since it's members only (or their guests) this review probably won't mean much.
We had a great time at Riverbend. The staff are amazing and the location is secluded but charming.
Oh just great ..feels like the big old clubs built by the British in the mountains of India. .. plus excellent staff. ..and facilities lava
We were only guests of Tim and Diane, but the service was spectacular, as was all aspects of the facility. All amenities we were blessed with were exceptional and as always the company was top notch.
If you can afford it, you can't afford not to!
We had a wonderful time do not only to the gorgeous accommodations but to the fantastic service and wonderful food. If you can get into this place it is not to be missed
We drove a few hours north of Chicago and found ourselves at Riverbend. A friend had invited us to his weekend getaway in celebration of his birthday, and we did not hesitate in joining. Riverbend is a private club in Kohler, and if you get a chance to go visit the former mayor's house, do so. Unfortunately, you are only allowed here if you are a member, or a guest of a member. But one visit here, and you'll know why it's kept so private.
This place is absolutely, BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL. The mansion is huge but charmingly quaint. The spa is nice, and the indoor pool has a trap door that let you slip out to the outdoor pool - the outdoor pool that is constantly heated at 80 degrees!
There's a great maze outside and a huge lawn that runs out to an awesome walking trail that follows the river. Down by the river there's an outdoor massage room that is just wonderful.
We had the pleasure of having an amazing dinner cooked by Chef Cale of the club. Not only did he meticulously prepared an amazing, multi-course meal for us, but he came out and chatted with us before each plate to talk about each of the plate. Thanks Chef Cale for making the most heavenly kobe beef I've ever had in my life. I can never eat any other meat the same way again in my life.
Fantastic experience is all I need to say. Staff were exceptional and anticipated our every need. Food was great. Atmosphere posh.
Riverbend Center is a phenomenal historic place for meetings and conferences. Currently there is a major construction project going on with updating 15 rooms. This is part of Destination Kohler.
