Ristorante La Locanda del Gusto Review

Everything we ordered was delicious. Even the complementary bruschettas were great. The place is busy, with cosy atmosphere, the opposite of pretentious. Highly recommended!

Good location but very slow service. 90 minutes to get served only average food.
I was expecting more from it as it is advertised as a chef restaurant made.

We so enjoyed La Locanda del Gusto that we choose to have dinner here 2 of our 3 nights in Sorrento. We selected the special "all in one meal" and the taste, presentation, portions, was superb. About 4 blocks from the main square, eating here felt more local and al ot less touristy

I can t recommend this place enough, and to say the least, it s an experience and be prepared to be stuffed. It s a true family feel meal, a real authentic Italian dinner. It s not really known for the stunning views but all the food is deliciuos .....Everything is made in house and the chef Carmen with all staff is unbelievable!!!!!- Everything is brought out family style ....so trust me ....if you will come to sorrento you must go....lovely atmosphere, food and sercice!!!

I have lived in Italy (Bologna) for almost 10 months now. This has been, hands down, the best Italian food I have ever had! If you ask an Italian where the best food is, the common response is from my mom, my grandma etc . Carmen is that Italian family member who makes the best Italian food and makes it for all who come visit. This is an absolute must when in Sorrento!

Very nice place! For this prices there are not many other restaurants like it. Although the place might not look very inviting to everyone. The food is great! Simple and classic dishes, yet rich of flavour. The staff is also very friendly and Carmen is great!

The chef Carmen is absolutely incredible! We had 4 plates and each plate was perfecto. Honestly the best Italian I have ever had and it was very reasonable. Here is a great place to go if you want that authentic Italian dish and something that truly stands out compared to all the other great food around Sorrento. It will be impossible going to back to the States and eating anything else. I highly recommend eating here!
