Awful school, my daughter is bright and well behaved but still she hates this school. The school needs total reform, it has gone backwards since me and my husband attended, it has become an impersonal, soulless, oppressive school and not forward thinking at all. We need to get rid of people in suits ruining education and implementing pointless 'targets' that get in the way of teachers doing their jobs and put's too much stress on them and the kids and get back to teaching and inspiring, education has become too much about getting 'results'. And don't get me started on the shambolic c1,2,3,4 system! One size does not fit all.

this school is troglodytic and needs to be demolished.

Honestly, since the new system has been implemented everything has gone downhill. The new timetable and restrictions for students seem quite frankly unnecessary, and the amount of strange, slightly pretentious changes - such as the new house system, the 'Altus' system and the rebranding of PPMs as 'Creating Futures' and form time as 'Character Curriculum', not to mention the rebranding of the school itself - has disillusioned the pupils entirely. When I first came to the school several years ago, I was met with a welcoming, kind environment, a high standard of teaching and excellent pastoral care. Since the new system has been introduced that has been lost, along with around 30 of the best staff members. I'm sure the 'Senior Leadership Team' are trying their hardest to do what they think best, but I do not think it has worked, and I know many others, (ex) staff, pupils and parents alike, share my views.

The school has changed much since I was there as I have heard the timetable is confusing and the c1234 system stop lessons alot more then the old system and from what I have heard the much loved old teachers have left and the only ones who are decent are Mr pain and Mrs Clayton all and all this school has drop on my list of schools to send my children it is turning to much into a private school for my liking

My brother attends this awful school and has recently received serious threats verbally which are more than just I ll fight you . My mother rang the school and the BFL team did absolutely nothing about it, they told my brother to stop lying and watch what he s saying despite them not seeing the person who threatened him in the first place, I myself attended this school and so did my Dad, it was awful when I got there and awful when I left. There are very few reasonable teachers and/or teachers that do anything about the many problems that occur daily. They don t offer a wide enough range of subjects at post-16 level and then don t like it when a large number of students choose to leave the school.

Worse school ever. The c1 c2 c3 c4 rule is disgarceful! Do not send your children there they will hate it and the teachers can't even teach and are dreadful (except for mr payne and mr knight). Most of the teachers are insane and abuse power.

I had a tremendous opportunity to participate in directing French oral communication lessons to pupils in Doncaster Ridgewood comprehensive school during the academic year 1999/1980.Now, Iam at the end of my career but I still remember those fantastic hours I spent among the pupils and staff of that school.
