My kidney specialist located in the same building ...
My kidney specialist located in the same building referred me to see Dr. Ash. I waited 5 weeks for the first available appointment which I had to go in person to make when I attempted to make the appointment by phone they receptionist refused to make the appointment and insisted they did not take my insurance (aetna ppo), which they in fact do. So I went in person to make the appointment, front desk staff were so unpleasant and rude, she gave me an appointment card for 11/1 @ 2pm. I arrived at the bradhurst building 11/1 at 1:45 but could not find parking for 15 min. I arrived at the office at 2:03 on the dot. After completing my paperwork and waiting 10 min the receptionist came to tell me that DR. Ash stated that since I was late 20 min I had to wait until she saw the rest of her patients first and that would be around 4pm or I could reschedule. Mind you, I was 3 min late. Then the receptionist told me that my appointment in her system was for 1:45 not 2 pm and never informed the DR. that my appointment card which I had with me said 2 pm on it. I could not wait another month for an appointment so I waited (I was supposed to be an on an extended work lunch and never returned to work) Dr. Ash did not see me until after 5pm! When I explained the situation to the DR. she seemed to be in disbelief. Meanwhile, while I was waiting there, multiple patients that seemed to all be in shock at the horrible front desk service. One older couple waited in the waiting room for an hour before the 2 front desk women started to bicker about who checked them in and how long they had been there. Dr. Ash did provide a quality exam and was pleasant. She referred me to see a Neurologist and specified to her talented front desk staff that she wanted them to get me an appointment with the neurologist within 2 weeks. Dr. lee's (neurologist) office didn't have the availability, so the front desk was instructed to contact DR. Lee directly to squeeze me in. The receptionist told me she would call me the following day when she heard from DR. Lee I asked her for her name so I could follow because I had a strong feeling the task was not going to be completed. She never gave me her name. Behold, it's 2 days later and I have not heard from them. When I called to speak with the front desk they directed me to call Dr. Lee's office myself, knowing I would not be able to get the appointment. I asked for the office manager and I was told she was gone for the day at 11am. Then I asked for Dr. ash, "shes not here today either". Then I call the administration office to file a complaint and what do you know, I get a call back. Unfortunately I dropped the call due to poor service. About a min later I get a voicemail from the office supervisor Denise (who was supposed to be gone for the day) and the first thing she says in a hostile tone on the voicemail is that I hung up on her and to call her back. I call back from a landline and to my NOT surprise "she not available and I can leave a message". YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP PEOPLE. I CANNOT believe that these are the people that you have to deal with when it comes to your health! I'm beyond disturbed and at this point I am just going to find another practice. Serious waste of my time when I am having serious health issues and I feel terrible for any other patients experiencing this!
