After ordering a Herman Miller chair and realizing it did not fit me well, I searched for alternatives. I ended up doing extensive online research and decided upon a Steelcase. I visited the RGO show room to try out both the Leap and Gesture. I decided upon the Leap, placed an order and waited. I called to check on the order a few weeks later and discovered that the order had never been placed. The sales guy that I had been working with had left the company. Bianca Barry assisted me with a speedy and suitable alternative. She was very pleasant and helpful throughout the process and wanted to rectify the situation so that I was happy. I would highly recommend RGO to anyone looking for a high quality office chair (with an extensive warranty) and great customer service!

Following this review I was contacted directly by RGO and a Steelcase representative in order to make it right. They went ahead and ordered me another chair, which his time arrived (on March 12) with protective coverings and in good condition. I do appreciate that RGO did not stop until we had a chair that was in good condition.

I recently purchased a Steelcase Leap V2 chair from RGO and had a pretty terrible experience from start to finish. As other have noted, in order to look at chairs in their showroom you have to sign in and then you are assigned a sales person to show you products. There's nothing wrong with that, but the sales lady didn't know much about the product and had to keep leaving to find out basic information about the chair.
I did end up purchasing the chair (since I already knew what I wanted) but when I received it and opened the box the chair was covered in dirt and scratches. It was shipped inside a large box with no actual protective covering on the chair. I returned this chair for a replacement, and the second one that was delivered had the same problem. I sent that one back, and now I just received the third replacement chair which has the exact same problems. The delivery guy suggested that depending on what factory the chair comes from determines whether or not it's shipped with protective coverings?!?
I'm exhausted from dealing with RGO over the last 4 months on this so I decided to just accept the loss and took delivery of the chair the 3rd, still damaged and dirty chair.
Throughout this process RGO failed to effectively communicate with me what was happening. The sales lady would state that she'd follow up in 2 days with more information about replacement and delivery, and then I'd hear nothing so I'd have to follow up with her and even CC other departments in order to get a response.
In summary of my experience:
- RGO did not know much about the product they sold me
- RGO had poor communication with me after receiving payment
- RGO was unable to deliver a chair that was not damaged after 3 attempts
- RGO has not attempted to make this right in any way whatsoever
I highly suggest avoid doing business with RGO at all costs.
I went to RGO Edmonton to find a new office chair and Bianca, the Workplace Consultant that helped me, was great. She was able to answer any questions that I had both at the showroom and over the next week as I corresponded with her about my delivery and pick-up options, and was kind and courteous throughout. When I went back to pick up the chair, the couple of other employees that I encountered were very nice as well.
The chair turned out to have some possible manufacturing issues but Bianca and RGO Edmonton's service/install department went above and beyond to accommodate me and replace it ASAP. They'll be my first stop for my next piece of office furniture. I highly recommend checking them out.
The sales and design teams at RGO go above and beyond to create unique and exceptional spaces for commercial clients - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone for their corporate furniture needs.
I work for an Industrial Construction Contractor, we have used RGO for a few industrial renovation projects and there product is top notch, Tamara worked alongside me with many revisions, detail changes, shipping struggles you name it and I was always met with great customer service and assistance. Their pricing is very competitive, and with all the renderings and drawings they provide, you are getting exactly what you asked for every time. I would highly recommend RGO for your home office needs, refinishing your office space, or full scale business renovations.
