I love the doctors here my issue is more on not keeping the areas clean. They also have temperature stations in the front so people can check their temps before entering further HOWEVER the person at the front desk isn t even paying attention to make sure they just aren t walking in. The lady in the picture was just standing there not knowing what to do.
I arrived at the emergency department this morning via CFD Ambulance 47. I fell on sidewalk ice and could not walk. I needed help.
The ER staff was wonderful. At least two doctors, two nurses and a few additional staff did what they could to reduce my stress and pain. Specifically I want to add my appreciation to the man that took me to radiology, the woman that made the X-rays in the room, the staff in the radiology department and the security man that took me out to the car.
This has been a very positive experience. Thank you.
My daughter had an accident and they took her to this hospital. The nurse who took the information was rude. After about an hour and a half, and my daughter in great pain, we entered. They took care of her and told us that they would come back with analgesics in 5 minutes, we waited 40, and so they had us, between X-rays, medicine and to sew her hand, 4 hours. On top of that they called the ortho specialist, she needed surgery because of a broken bone and he told them to just sew her, and he would see her tomorrow and they just gave her strong pain killers, and she is under age. It wasn t the first time, I had a bad experience last year. If I had to choose never again this hospital
My mom was just there over the weekend because of a panic attack. They asked if she was allergic to anything and she clearly said Benadryl (with a translator there). And they ended up giving her Benadryl. They poorly took care of her with lack of attention & and when she asked for water, they gave her ice water. She ended up having such a bad allergic reaction to the Benadryl that her whole body is cover in hives now. According to our family doctor, they could have killed her. This hospital does not care for your well being! If you can go somewhere else, do it!
Had to take my sister there for 3 hour CT testing. She is mentally disabled and lives in a nursing home. Brikana was the tech taking care of her. She was amazing. My sister was terrified and Brikana was so helpful and made her feel comfortable and at ease. She played music for her, which really helped in calming her down. THANK YOU, Brikana.
If it was necessary I will give none stars. Very low quality emergency care and they really need more staff. Urgent care took them four hours and it was not even posible to check me and diagnose if I broke my foot.
It needs more staff. If you really have an emergency do not go there
On July 22,2020 I went through by pass surgery . Most terrifying thing I have been through. Luckily I have a fantastic cardiologist Doc Siddiqi and surgeon Doc Bradshaw. The surgery went fantastic, the problem was once I got down to ICU . Half of the nurses were absolutely fantastic, but the other half didn't seem to care as if they didn't want to be there. 1st shift nurses were fantastic. But 2nd shift only had a couple nurses that seem to care. Each evening around 6:00pm my nerves would be so bad till I found out who my nurse would be that night . This hospital definitely needs to clean house and get some new nurses. It took me a while to respond to this, I wasn't going to, till I found out a good friend of my had the same experience. Amita please get some new nurses, like the new young nurses you have on 1st shift. They were absolutely fantastic. Thank god with nurses like them your future looks good. Thank you
Having a relative here for over two weeks, the room furniture is absolutely horrible for visitors, your best to bring bag chairs from Wal-Mart. Garbage and uncomfortable for the amount of time spent here.
Sept 2016 husband found me unresponsive on the bathroom floor. He called the Ambulance and they were rude, asked if I took meds and I told the EMT 1/2 a Norco for back pain. She responded with "if I took norco I would be sick too". Apparently I went out again on the 5 min ride over too the hospital and they gave me Narcan and told the ER I was a Junkie. I was in and out of it throughout. They put me in the Psycho room and the doctor came in ONE time and asked why I got colonoscopies and when the last time I shot heroin!!!!! I have never done heroin or used needles in any way shape or form and I couldn't remember the word Polyps as to the reason for my colonoscopies. I asked her to get my husband he can answer all of the health questions, they never got him until a lot later. Nurse came in to check vitals and my temp was so low he had to get it rectal, blood pressure very very low, was basically dying and they left me there. Finally got my husband in there, and then 4 hours later asked for a urine sample but I just went to the bathroom, husband had to help as nobody was around to assist. Anyway after 4-5 hours got a CT of abdomen and had ischemic bowel needed emergency surgery. Surgeon was Amazing (Dr. Tarasov - AMAZING). I ordered a copy of my records from this and was appalled that it was all LIES. Everything in the paperwork was entered AFTER all was said and done, they never offered pain meds until after the CT when I was in extreme abdominal pain because instead of checking for overdose they just believed the EMT even though the Narcan didn't do anything because I don't use drugs and it was NOT AN OVERDOSE. The medical records stated I was alert and all vitals were good.... THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT SAVING THEIR OWN BUTTS
My mom went to see Dr. Tabaka-- a pulmonologist at this facility. She dismissed my mom and denied her of any proper care which led to my mom being sent to the ER. Unfortunately, we didn't learn our lesson with this location. We went to the ER. The ER doctors were unknowledgeable as they talked in circles on their limit of ER care which was not the point of the visit/concern. They were unwilling to use their resources nor did they offer any treatment advice for a desperate patient. There was very few kind staffers-- which were mainly technicians. I would strongly suggest avoiding Dr. Tabaka and going to another ER facility, if possible.
