Restaurante Augusto Review

Augusto s is a 1 minute walk from the strip and well worth those extra few steps. The food is spot on and the place has a great feel to it. The owner and staff are all really gracious and look after you as though they actually value you being there, which isn t something you can say for most of the other places on the strip. It s quieter, more relaxed, no big stag / hen dos walking past, no bright neon signs and banging music. If you are in a big group on a hen/stag do however, it s an ideal place to start the night off especially if you are all feeling a bit rough from the night before and just want some goods chats without all the deafening music. But I would mainly recommend it to families and couples looking for somewhere a bit less Britain Abroad .

The owner runs the restaurant so you are welcomed and looked after, and not treat like just another customer trying to get rushed through the doors by touts. He would make conversation, get our beers in every night, call us a taxi (to Old Town) etc etc. Augusto gives you the kind of extra touches you don t get on the strip, a charismatic and friendly character with very good English but you still feel as though you are abroad due to the nice surroundings, staff and menu. Well worth giving Augustos a go, I highly recommend it. With it being slightly off the strip you will find the bill to be a bit smaller too which is always good.

Super Food! Super staff... The owner Augusto was very welcoming and chatty, we enjoyed the food so much - you must try the Prawns Al-ajilio its Heaven with some garlic bread and another good one is Sardines on Toast! food quality is fab, very clean place so much so we went there thrice in a week as it was irresistible!

Had dinner here on our 1st night , restaurant was between our hotel & the strip. staff really welcoming & humble , food was amazing, really peaceful. Away from the main road, if your looking for authentic Portuguese food, this is the place,

Excellent food, onion soup delicious, lamb chops and real chips, YUM. Great service too, very nice restaurant, not your mediocre type. Staff very welcoming and prices very competitive. A must visit!!

Really friendly and welcoming little restaurant serving some fantastic food. A little of the beaten track but well worth the stroll. Highly recommend the Prawns and the steaks.

Yay Augusto's is open for the season. Just had the filet steak in mushroom sauce. Hubby had the Portuguese steak. Absolutely delicious. THE place to visit when you're in Albufeira.

If you like stunning food this is the place.
We ate here twice and both times it was unbelievable food.
Very friendly staff who go beyond to help, and the food is heavenly.
Had the mixed meat grill and lasagne the first night which was fantastic, then both had the the flambau steak the second time, and can honestly say it was the best steak we have had in our lives.
Such a lovely restaurant, off the beaten track.
