The food was served cold. On the plate was only a quarter tomato and a quarter onion. The prices were tremendously high, besides, the rice was very dry and had a gummy form.
Not recommendable.

Not the best service, they got the order wrong after going over it 3 times, and the dishes were OK but nothing special. It's hard to find good Persian restaurants and this is certainly not the worst. But, more attentative staff would make the experience better.

Ate dinner here one evening with an Iranian friend. Loved the food and thought the service was friendly. There were not a lot of people there that evening (Saturday - 9:30 pm). Wide selection on the menu. Enjoyed the flat bread. Desserts also delicious.

Sometimes the schedule runs smoothly when it is busy.

We had to wait a long time for our food, there was no starter, as is common in every Persian restaurant, lamb was not cooked through, rice was not cooked properly. There is one star for friendliness.

Awesome food and service! We live in Toronto Canada with tons of Persian restaurants and a huge Persian diaspora but rarely you find tasty and fine quality food like this! I m originally Persian and I tell you it tastes and feels like best home land restaurants. Give it a try and you will probably convert to Persian food for good the bonus is staff are very warm and friendly too!

Delicious Persian cuisine served by friendly staff. My favorite place in the neighborhood to come with international friends after work for dinner. A wide variety of dishes - especially for meat lovers.

The atmosphere is also lovely. They have shipped the hand-made wood art directly from Iran. Lots of cultural touches in the decoration - giving it a heartwarming Persian vibe.

Great quality food and a great environment with fun music. The staff are quite welcoming and the chef is professional. We were from Hamburg on New Year's Eve and enjoyed the food and the restaurant. Every time I go to Amsterdam again, I'll go to the restaurant with you and me.

Nice dinner but after 50 minutes we were unfriendly requested to leave the table because the next guests were already ready. In addition, the coffee ( 3.75 p piece) was not drinkable. We have indicated this kindly after one sip and did not drink any more, but we did have to pay.

Thanks

Delicious Iranian food. I had the combo chicken and lamb kabobs. The seasoning was fantastic. The only downside to this place is the service. They were a little slow and a bit on the rude side at first. But, looking past that, the food was quite tasty. The food definitely outweighs the service here.

The ground beef kabab (kabab koobideh) is good quality, the ratio of beef, fat, spice and onion is perfect. It s not the best I ve had... but it s as good as it should be. The chicken kabab (joojeh kabab) was also done very well... it was a little dry... but otherwise perfect. The kabab portions are humongous. Which bring us to the rice... for the size of the kabab, the portion of the rice is not a match. The rice needs to be twice as more to match the kabab, specially if you get a dish that comes with two kababs... as I did. So I ended up rationing my rice to not run out . The rice was of good quality... but it was dry... needed butter. The butter they provided is not of best quality, which does effect the taste of the rice. The price point is average... not low and not too night. Same as other Persian restaurants. The service was okay... Persian restaurants aren t really service oriented and that applies to all Persian restaurants I ve been to, be it in Amsterdam, London or LA.

Restaurant MaNoTo Amsterdam

Restaurant MaNoTo Amsterdam

Most terrible restaurant I have ever eaten. I did not even want to make it a problem anymore, but I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

First. I had reserved a table for 18 people at 20:00. Until 20:45 there were still people eating so my guests could not sit at the table.

I saw that it contained their mix appetizer nuts. Well, a guest of mine was allergic to it. I tell them and asked if they could bring a new record. Without the nuts of course. At first I was told that of the 4 starters 1 only contained nuts and she could eat from the other 3. When I told her that I would rather see a new record, because it is quite dangerous for her and could die of it, her colleague who was there was jokingly saying 'then she will not eat that anyway'. Almost had to laugh about it, haha. After almost begging to have a starter without nuts. (Delicious starters though).

Well now comes the Hans Klok section where they came up with a beautiful magic tric.

Apart from the fact that at almost every Iranian restaurants there are things that we never get and in this case saffron beer, which we had ordered, but they did not have in stock. When I asked her about it she said 'Yes I left it for the sake of convenience. I gave your friend a Heineken instead and that is the same price. ' Well, I can tell you that saffron beer cost 5.80 and Heineken less than 3.

But I thought it's my birthday, I do not feel like it at all, so pay it and get out of here.

Bon amounted to 590 euros. I add up to 3x my money and stop 600 euros. All three times I counted 600 euros. Not once 550, not once 650 and not even 500.

And I thought I was still standing or closing that money in the hand, but did not assume that she would take 100 euros, call me back and would casually say with grin that I had given 100 euros too little.
Long story short. Had family and friends with me did not want to make a noise on my own birthday. 100 euros extra typed that my guests and parents would not get anything from it and walked away.

All in all food itself was top notch. But those people there and the service.

I hope you learn from my mistakes and leave MaNoTo Amsterdam nicely to the left.

the lubia polo tasted really bad and wasn't even the traditional lubia polo that is cooked in Iran. when I informed the staff they were very rude about it and suggested we take the delivered food back to the restaurant ourselves !

After a long time of waiting asked for a drink. The coke was finished? The waitress who helped us was quite disinterested. She came to take the order without emotion, without a notebook. The rice was a bowl for three people and not enough. We have asked and received more. I asked for a second drink. After waiting for my Coke Zero for 45 minutes I got a Coke? I sent these back. Coke was finished, right? I also asked for bread, waited for a long time but never got it. My husband has been sick from food all night. Too few staff for the busy Sunday evening. A waitress seemed professional but did not have enough time for the guests. A waste of my 93. Had expected a nice evening. The food tasted like rose water.

Recently with friends enjoyed the three-course menu, the atmosphere was good and the food very tasty.
We have eaten at Manoto before and held various parties.
These were very cozy, well organized and the food was great, the location is also unique.
In short, a big compliment for Manoto. Thank you and goodbye.

The waitress had a rude tone and a grumpy face all evening. For instance, she didn t say loud and clear that we had to come to the bar to pay, then got angry cause we didn t come. Pretty poor people skills! Then they kicked us out into the pouring rain to wait for our Uber even though it was 10 minutes before their official closing time. Maybe don t treat your customers like that? Food was okay, but nothing out of this world and didn t seem very clean.
