I attended the RCS Grazing for Profit course about ten years ago.
It was a great experience and covered all of the aspects of running a successful agribusiness.

It was interesting to break the business down into the cattle business and the land business and being able to clearly distinguish between the two was beneficial.
During the course it was interesting to identify my current paradigms and to assess whether these paradigms were relevant or also whether they were holding back the potential of the business to grow. Being aware of your paradigms and then challenging their relevance ensures that you don t get stuck in a position where you can t see the wood for the trees.

There were some great examples of what you should and shouldn t do when faced with challenges such as drought conditions.
Using rainfall and grazing charts are great tools for planning stock purchases and sales and knowing how much time you have to make buying or selling decisions.
Running your business using this balanced approach puts you more in control of the decisions and the outcomes.

It is great to hear first-hand experiences of how people have overcome significant challenges which they have faced.
It is a supportive group which provide constructive feedback for the ideas and projects you want to implement and keep you accountable to do what you say you are going to do.
