My preference would be to give this business no stars. I am sure buyers will write the positive reviews. I was a so called consignor - I was actually a gifter. RCM has it figured out. They choose what items they take and they "set" the price. I looked at some items on the floor and they seemed overpriced for a consignment shop. RCM says you will get an email within 7 days with the price they set - and they say if you don't get that email it is your responsibility to contact them. Well, surprise - surprise- surprise - I did NOT get an email. I called to ask why and them it was "discovered" my email address had been entered incorrectly in their system - even though it is written in the clearest print possible on the contract. They sold a formal dress that I paid $320 for new and it was worn once and in mint condition -they sold it for $50!! That was the initial price they put on the dress. Then they deduct their $25 set up fee and their portion of the sale - and I am left with 0. I had looked at the prices in the store and expected my dress to be priced reasonably. I was not sent an email. I had regretted signing a contract with them before the end of the day that I signed it because it was not "consignor friendly" at all - I was running late for an appointment, had waited 2 hours in the heat because I locked myself out of my car, and I was not thinking very clearly. I was scheduled to have back surgery the next week and was trying to get tasks completed. I never expected to be done this way.. I gave a very nice garment to RCM - not intentionally. I truly believe I was deceived and got taken. If you are looking for a place to sell your clothes - think more than twice before trusting RCM.
