I went to the hotel to drop off my daughter and her friends after Music Midtown, and to say the staff had their hands full is an understatement. They greeted the returning festival goers with bottled water and smiles. They were every bit as polite as the Chik-Fil-A employee memes are. I wasn't a guest so I can't give them 5 stars because I never saw the rooms, but just the way they handled the lobby deserves all the accolades I can honestly offer them.

We were sceptical about this hotel bc all of the bad reviews on Yelp, but we did enjoy our stay. Rooms were clean and it was quiet. Had complimentary water and staff was really nice and friendly. No hidden fees when I checked out. Only thing I would complain about is that the shower doesnt stay at 1 temperature goes from hot to cold every 10sec and their a.c. vents are pretty dusty. Either than that everything else was great! Plus it's very welcoming to EVERYONE. family, college, hipsters and LGBT. Etc...

This hotel is really nicely located in Atlanta, it is located in Midtown but it s so conveniently located to anything downtown! The restaurant in the main lobby is super nice and has a great buffet. The rooms are very clean and my view was very nice! The decor in the room is super fun. The only disappointment that I had with this hotel was that I waited for almost five hours to get my room, even though it was still before normal check in times. Staff is pretty friendly for the most part! Definitely recommend this hotel if you don t want the downtown commotion.

Not great compared to other Renaissance properties. They don't have the new Marriott TV interface that allows you to watch Netflix. They don't have a concierge lounge. They don't have a convenience store. Good location if you want to be in Midtown though.

i had a pleasant stay at the renaissance. My encounter with Gia was very informative. She was very knowledgeable of the area, and informed several places I enjoyed. I will definitely be returning. Great customer service like this shouldnt go unnoticed.

If you are looking for a hotel in downtown Atlanta, then this is it! The people at this Renaissance are incredible! Always nice and friendly, willing to answer questions or help when you need it. If you have the chance to meet Tanya you will never forget her, the person we all want representing us in our business. Combine a great hotel with a really good restaurant, Community Smith, and it is a great place to stay. There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance that makes this hotel really convenient.

Staff were friendly and professional at all times. The room was clean and comfortable. Valet was prompt and the restaurant was good. The elevators are secured by room key. The area around the hotel appeared safe even late at night with lots of restaurants available.

One of the best management and staff ive experienced in a hotel. Food was unbelievable. Rooms were very tidy and clean. Great location and access to plenty of nightlife and restaurants. Just wish it had a pool!

The hotel did not honor my reservation due to an overbooking and also did not help me in any way to find another hotel.
Absolutely unacceptable and the worst experience in my life in over 22 years as a business traveler. Amira if that's how her name is spelled is the worst possible person to be working at the concierge.

Needs to be deep cleaned more often, if i use clorox wipes on door handles and dresser drawers they turn black from the dirt. Housekeeping also knocked and entered before letting me answer verbally or physically. Shower water changes from hot to cold very often. Other than that it's ok.

I've stayed in many hotels in Atlanta, and this is by far not the worst, but it's far from even the top 5. Overall, this wouldn't be one of my top choices in Atlanta.

Pros: Rooms were clean, quiet, housekeeping was very responsive and the remaining staff was nice.

Cons:

The elevators. They are so slow and there is a line in the lobby (sometimes for 5-10 minutes) just to try and get on the elevator.

I haven't had any problems with the staff, but I have a list of problems with the hotel in general. The biggest issues were losing my reservation and giving me a room that wasn't cleaned properly. Then replacing that room with one on a lower floor without a view. It's not how I'm used to being treated being a Platinum Elite.

Lovely property. Nice sized gym. Modern non standard Marriott property (good thing). Large modern rooms. No concierge lounge. Good gym with lots of options. Nice large size roof top deck. Kale and Brussels sprouts salad is awful. I would go back in a heart beat if they had a m or concierge lounge.

Spacious room, with an elegant bathroom. Excellent views of the city. The staff is courteous and professional, (the expected norm of a Marriott hotel). Valet parking on site to save you the hassle of parking. Great location to be able to walk or Uber to local attractions.

I was staying for a professional event and my company prepaid for my room with a check. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist checking me in told me that the hotel did not take checks. I understand hotel policies, however, I would have expected the receptionist to refer my case to a manager. Instead, she acted as if there were no solution. I eventually requested to speak with a manager and was able to resolve this he problem. Other staff, especially the vallet, were very helpful. As a final note on the issue of payment, it seems to be a local policy for the hotel only. I have not had any issues previously with paying using a check from my company. My book keeper had to call the company to receive information for writing the check. This made it all the more surprising when the problem arose with paying for a check.

My wife and I are here on a local staycation and have loved our time so far. The location is great to tone of date spots and restaurants. The room is great, the bathroom had great water pressure and great mirror/preparation mirrors. The staff has been wonderful, making an extra effort to make our stay special. If you are staying in midtown or looking for somewhere to stay in Atlanta, this place comes highly recommended.

I was here for an event I was taking photos for. The location is great! I think for a wedding or party this is ideal especially for adults. There are great views from the patio side and there are fire pits for warmth in the late evenings. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Some updates or renovations could be invested on the building specifically in the outdoor roof top.

I stay in hotels almost every week of the year and this is one of the best experiences I have had! The staff is exceptional, especially Cedric Webster. Cedric went above and beyond to accommodate me and make my stay enjoyable. If you are ever in Atlanta, make this your home away from home! You will not be disappointed!

The location was very convenient to Marta. There was construction going on next door which meant you had to cross a busy street without a light to get to the hotel. The hotel looked a little dated but the room was comfortable.

I've stayed at the Renaissance Midtown on two occasions in the past 12 months. Boths stays have been great. The staff is phenomenal and the rooms are great. The rooms are large and we'll decorated with all the necessary amenities including a mini-fridge. The bed is super comfy as well. The location is awesome with tons of good restaurants in walking distance. The only to knock on is the parking situation. There's no dedicated lot so you're forced to valet or feed the meter if you are able to snag street parking.

I have been traveling to Atlanta every Monday - Thursday for the past year and half, have stayed at well over 10 different hotels in the Downtown/Midtown area, and The Renaissance is BY FAR the best of them all. The number one reason why I choose to stay at this hotel week in and week out is because of Andrew, one of the hotel staff concierges. His attention to detail, hard work, and exceptional customer service makes me feel welcome and as if The Renaissance is my home away from home. He goes out of his way to personally greet each and every guest and make them feel special. I have never met such a standout employee and he deserves true recognition for all he does!

In addition, the rooms are always spotless and the hotel location cannot be beat. 5 star experience all around and that is why I come back week after week.

Really nice hotel at first look. No housekeeping, because of the COVID-19. Stayed there 3 nights. One day the restaurant was closed. No coffee maker in the room, nor i have offered battle water. Bed sheets were not set properly, and is it the mattress to big for the sheets or the sheets are to small for the mattress?, it (sheet)would come off in one corner. If you stay 3days and no service, be prepared to take some of your own garbage out side the hotel. Garbage bin on the sidewalk. Shower handle fall off into my hand, elevator tile broken and dirty floor. One morning was a blackout in midtown, it happened around 9am.

Beautiful hotel and great location which is the only reason I m giving them 3 stars. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service. It s absolutely terrible. Two days in a room the housekeeper didn t refill the coffee or give me more water which isn t a big deal but when I caught her leaving my room I asked for them and she gave me the worst attitude. Later that night I went to the restaurant they have here. The waitress spilled whiskey on me the moment I sat down and didn t say anything. She walked off and cleaned off what she spilled on her hand. Whiskey sat on the counter for 20mins only because it took 20 mins to get her attention to A. Get drinks and B. Clean up the counter. It then took 35 mins to get SALADS! Now today I asked to be brought a microwave. Now in a hotel where you pay almost $400 a night you d think that you would at least get a clean microwave. There was rotten food in it that literally made my entire room stink!! I shouldn t have to worry about getting a dirty microwave when I have already spent so much money at this hotel. Now I am stuck cleaning on my vacation and have to find a way to air out my room.

Beautiful hotel and they're working on updates to improve upon what they already offer. The restaurant, Community Smith has great food and drinks. The staff is terrific and quick to accommodate in whatever way possible. The room is fresh, chic, spacious and comfortable. The location is convenient, with in steps of a public grocery store, more restaurants than you have time to choose from and blocks away from the Mercedes Benz stadium.

The valet service will keep me from EVER staying her again. I wouldn't even stay here for free. The $40/night valet service lost our car for over 19 hours, forcing us to walk for miles & take shuttles. BTW, per one of the "valets", there is no option of self-parking other than parking on the street of midtown Atlanta. The restaurant's service is also abyssmal. We waited 10 minutes for a table for 3 when there was no line and the restaurant was at 50% occupancy. Then we waited for an additional 20 minutes with no drinks (not even water) with no waitress or waiter even showing up at our table. Truly, this has been "Motel Hell", only without the campy charm of the 1980's movie. Easily the worst hotel experience I've had in Atlanta in 40 years.

This is my go-to hotel in midtown Atlanta. The staff is excellent and always very friendly. It is always a pleasure to stay here. The rooms are modern and beds are very comfortable. They have an outdoor rooftop bar that is very fun during spring, summer, and fall.

I have been trying to change a reservation for a couple of hours now. I called and was put on hold and finally hung up after 30 minutes. Called back and was given to customer service. Told them I was trying to change a reservation and she hung up on me. She was laughing and talking in the background to someone and didn't have time to take care of a customer. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!

Rude staff, drunk and disorderly guests, weed

The woman checking us in barely cracked a smile and mumbled her request for ID along with a perfunctory rundown about wifi access.

Not only will I never again stay at Renaissance Atlanta Midtown, I'll be sure to advise my colleagues who hold events in Atlanta as well as friends who visit the area to steer clear of the hotel.
