My father is at Regency in Olympia. this place has management/administrators trained in how to maximize their Medicare financial incentives for not using certain drugs. My father's care plan was changed to their plan not the plan his team of medical professionals wrote up but Regencies! They took him off medications for diagnosed conditions. I'm his POA. I've had to call the Thurston County Sheriff's department two times to get my father looked at. He was left alone in the dining room with a the phone for An hour and 13 minutes. That's 73 minutes a high risk fall patient who was supposed to have a safe plan at this chain .. their 26 year old administrator/admit specialist didn't even take a note or make phone call to alert their Dr. That my Dad's care plan wasn't right. He was on insulin to manage a high calorie intake as he had weight gain goal.

He weighed 155 in the ICU. He weighed 141 2.5 weeks after arriving. I had to physically take my father from the safety of a Recency Pacific facility in the middle of a pandemic on a 45 minute drive to his physician to get orders for a high calorie diet. Emma told me repeatedly we can't do anything without orders. Emma refused to tell the doctor my concerns. My dad's blood sugar was 33 Monday morning because he hasn't Been getting enough calories to maintain his weight let alone justify his long lasting insulin dosage.

I had to take my dad to Tacoma to get x-rays of his neck from all the falls. Emma said this is a 5 star facility when I was asking what supports were in place for patient safety. Their inexperienced administrative personnel and nurses will not call or inform Dr of any of your concerns. They won't be documented by anyone there.

My Dad has two broken vertebrae in his neck. His care plan for how to keep him in the neck brace is just gone! Emma the admit specialist didn't even make notes or alert the doctor of my concerns and notifications! Don't take your loved ones here.

Connie explained that my Dad has the right to fall and brings her 89 mother with dementia to justify her medical neglect of my father. Connie's mothers dementia isn't my father's.

I hope you don't leave your loved ones alone in any of these facilities.

I told 8 staff members and made dozens of calls about how my Dad was degrading daily. Feeling awful and miserable. It was supposed to be in his chart to cal daughter about pain. He cannot tell a nurse I'd even the paramedics he has pain, you just don't tell strangers your in pain. Last night he clearly was able to tell me his neck hurt while the paramedics who stood there who just evaluated him and gave me a report he's in no Pain.
My Dad's intake is inaccurate and not a professional real intake. It's geared to a normal person on the street with no personalized information regarding his special needs.

Your concerns for your loved ones won't even make it in the chart if you call let alone their doctor. He won't know what your talking about.

I am my father's POA. This place locked me out of making sure my father had a safe rehabilitation. He's going to the Hamptons in Tumwater on Tuesday and it can't be fast enough. I highly suggest getting a loan to self pay for a safe place if your loved ones have dementia and communication challenges. At Regency they will tell you your loved ones at their baseline even if they obviously are not and declining daily. That concern won't even make it into their chart.

It's only a 28 bed facility. We expected personalized care. You can forget it here.

I'm calling Monday to file grievances, getting my Dad's civil rights violation complaints in and calling ombudsman and adult protective services again!!!!

Having a 26 Year old recent graduated student with no medical experience Making life and death decisions not to call the doctor or even document the concerns his POA told her on detail is nothing short of negligent and then her dismissive attitude as if my father's falls and pain and suffering they caused him by their failure to communicate is nothing short of criminal.
