I found the staff to be considerate beyond anything I could have expected: special thanks to Jazz in nursing and to Anna and Sue in therapy. Food was very good for a facility of this sort- when the days are long, this is a welcome diversion. If I were to need similar care again, I would feel very secure returning to Regency House.

My mom has been there thru this whole covid thing. She is tested weekly and since we cannot visit the way we would like to the staff is wonderful. They always keep me posted on everything that is going on with mom. They are very attentive and we feel she is getting great care at Regency.

My mother was in Regency House for 4 days, she came in as a fall risk. Within two days she has fallen twice. The staff from the aides to the RN s were very lax in their jobs to keep my mother safe even after the first fall. My mother broke her leg and they were treating it like it was a bruise. My sister and I were at the facility everyday and after we saw that she was still in so much pain that I had to insist that they call an ambulance and take her to the emergency room. We are now at midstate and my mother will be going into surgery to repair her broken leg This will be followed up with a complaint to the State as well. Don t trust your loved ones will be adequately cared for in this place.

4.9 always room for improvement. My mom had been in and out of nursing homes for over 15 years so I can confidently say this nursing home deserves the best rating. Bad experiences only happen if you don t involve yourself! Keep your loved one a priority. The staff of this home was sincere, it wasn t just a job. Mom spent her last 8 months so happy and I was very impressed with the care of this facility. I hope this review can give you confidence that placing a loved one here, as hard as it can be, this facility is better than others. Speaking from experience.

Donna Dwyer and her team have been especially responsive and kind to my uncle who has been living at Regency House for the past several months. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff went out of their way to make sure my uncle stayed safe and healthy. The staff allowed me to arrange a social distance visit, following social distance and CDC guidelines. Regency cares about their residents as well as families.

I am very glad for the week I spent here for rehabilitation after being hospitalized. I was much to weak to go home. The nursing and PT/OT staff helped me to regain enough strength and function to feel comfortable about returning home.
The safety procedures in place for COVID19 seemed adequate and consistently followed. I felt safe.
All staff, medical, PT/OT, housekeeping, and food services were courteous, friendly, kind and respectful. All of my many requests were fulfilled within a reasonable amount of time. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed,
If I had need of a rehab again, I would not hesitate to choose Regency House

Upon arriving at the regency we were pleasantly surprised at how clean the facility is and how nice everybody seemed to be during the admitting process within the first 12 hours my mother was left holding a bar in the bathroom even though she came in as a fall risk the eight turned around left her unsupervised and my mom fell on the floor in the bathroom they placed her in her bed never taking any precautions she attempted to get out of bed that evening and fell to the floor X-rays were done for her follow-up and I was told that nothing was broken my mother was suffering and pain for two days as they attempted to give her therapy in spite of what turned out to be a broken FEMA please don't let your loved one go there this will be followed up with a complaint to the state of Connecticut

My mom went in February 2020 just as everything started with this covid. We moved her out of her apartment in March. They have protected her and have tested her and have kept her safe!! Thank you, too all of you for keeping my mom safe! May God bless all of us and keep us all safe!

Nurse Unique should find a different vocation. Thanks to her condescending and passive aggressive attitude, I will accelerate my attempts to find a more supportive facility for my mom. Unique, some day you may be in my position....think about that.

My brother has been at Regency for several months, and has experienced lots of challenges including his earlier stroke , and the death of his wife, his primary caregiver. When he has hit some low points the nursing leadership and staff have been exceptionally responsive and caring, even as they have been in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. Since most of his small family is at a distance and cannot travel to see him because of the virus, we have been able to rely on the team at Regency for support and special care.
