Sales staff at the warehouse sale were excellent. The fireplace heats up our main living area beautifully. In a recent power outage on a cold November evening the Regency fireplace kept us warm and toasty even without the fan.

We have a large ranch with 5 zones of oil fired forced hot water heat. This means at any given time there is a zone calling for heat. In turn this means the furnace was running a lot. After our first winter in the house, my wife and I started looking at alternative heat sources. Enter the HI300 from Regency. We've had our HI300 insert about 7 years now and It's been a great stove and suppliments our forced hot water heating system quite nicely. We start burning in mid to late October and burn right up until spring. We have cut down drastically on oil consumption. I highly recommend one of these inserts to anyone with a wood burning fireplace in their home. It's a great way to generate a lot of heat for a fraction of the cost of oil.
Worst pellet stove I have ever owned. Poor efficiency, service techs have been here four times in the two months since install. The stove works literally hours before the next problem pops up. I got a lemon for sure
Remove your advertisement signs from public spaces in Tsawwassen. Not only is it against bylaws but it s an eye sore and just plain tacky. Imagine how ugly our community would be if every company advertised like yours and littered public streets and sidewalks with signs? Have some respect.
Great product! I love my fireplace insert. It keeps the house warm and cozy, keeps the heating bill low and gives a glass door to see the fire. I have the enameled model which is so easy to clean. Burns so well that you will even save money on firewood.
Like the fireplace but never got the Regency half of the rebate I was offered despite submitting the paperwork for it to Regency. Review update: Regency got back to me very promptly after this review and we cleared up the paperwork for the rebate. Very impressed with them and their local dealer installer (Jack Pixley Sweeps) here in the Twin Cities.
We love our Regency fireplace. It is the centerpiece of our open concept home. It not only looks amazing, it throws off plenty of heat and is very efficient.. We love it and our fur children love it just as much.
Recently installed our new Regency Gas insert and we love it. It looks great, easy to operate and throws out a bunch of heat. We can now heat only our living area and not have to pay for wasted heat in other rooms.
Walked in to the store on a whim, Brad measured up the fireplace later that afternoon, and by Monday we had our new fireplace replacing the inefficient gas logs from before. See our Gas consumption has already decreased maybe get us off the inefficient users list!!! Don't delay all those inefficient gas payments could have been paying for the unit!!!
Love my Regency fireplace - we shopped around and looked at many different brands... there was no comparison for the realistic depth that Regency has - thrilled to have it in our home!
We recently replaced a clunky, unattractive, barely functional gas fireplace with a stylish, elegant, wonderfully efficient Regency Alterra wood stove, and we couldn't be happier. It heats virtually our entire 2,200 sq. ft. 2-story for hours with as few as 4 good logs. We are impressed with its design, its appearance, and are very pleased with its performance. We can't recommend it too highly.
We have purchased Regency Horizon HZO42 (Natural Gas, w/ the Steel Framing Kit and the Black reflective crystals for the 'Firebed') and Regency Horizon Gas Insert HZ1390EB (w/ the Regular Faceplate (black), Black reflective crystals for the 'Firebed' and Flex Venting) from EMBERS WEST, Anaheim, CA and we are extremely happy with both fireplaces. They both are absolutely wonderful.
I had the i2700 insert placed in our cabin last fall. The stove works okay, the trim piece is flawed, it uses bolts at the top and magnets at the bottom to hold in place. The amount of smoke that dumps in the house when the door is opened is terrible. I grew up houses with wood heat as only heating source, I know how to use wood stoves, but this one is terrible. If there is any wood burning other then a bed of coals, smoke pours into the house. The installer said this was normal. due to the amount of smoke, we will not rent our cabin out for fear that a lay person starting a fire would fill the house with smoke. Inside the stove, there is a metal bar with holes in it, part of the "cat", it continues to fall out. If i were to do it again, I would not have bought this model.
We couldn t be more satisfied with our fire place. From help with the selection to the install it all went perfect. We especially like the led backlight and the fire looks so amazing! Thank you!
I have a regency fire table that uses a 10 pound propane tank. The fire stops when there is still 3 to 4 pounds of propane left in the tank. The retailer Vaglio I purchased it from has never heard of this problem. Getting assistance from the factory via email is like pulling teeth. They keep insisting that I go back to the dealer which I have and they can t help. One reply from Regency suggests it maybe the propane regulator not reading correctly but when I ask for a part number there reply was to take the model number and serial number to a dealer. Nowhere on this fire table is there a model or serial number. I like this table but when I have to run out and purchase propane when there is still lots in the tanks it gets to be a pain in you know what.
Our stove has been broken for months. Regency says they have a fix and will stand behind their product. We phoned (again) and got an answering service who have no idea when the stoves will be fixed. You cannot contact Regency directly. I called our dealer and they said they cannot contact Regency either. They emailed them a week ago with no reply. Worst decision we ever made was to buy from Regency. They appear to be hiding behind answering services and telling customers to turn the gas off the units and do not use them. Totally covering themselves with no concern for the customers.
Our new Regency fireplace is a great addition to our living room. It looks good and is well built. Warm and cosy now. In fact we seldom use the furnace. Just leave the fireplace on all the time. Although we did replace the on/off switch with a thermostat. Excellent decision
We bought a regency fireplace in the beginning of dec 2017. Soon after our purchase we recieved an immediate recall. Apparently there was a fault in a gas switch that could cause an explosion. So here we are 6 months later still waiting for a repair. Everytime we call Regency we get "your local dealer will handle it" when ever we call the dealer we get "the manufacture has to deal with it". So here we sit with a brand new gas fireplace that we cant use and nobody seems to care. Im extremely dissapointed with the service and the lack of interest to stand by their product.
I purchased and had installed a Regency P 36 E gas fireplace in May 2017. The fireplace looks good and the heat output is satisfactory, but here are my issues: 1. Upon igniting and cooling there is a very audible ticking that is heard across the room. It seems like expansion-contraction of part of the firebox that last for 1 to 2 minutes upon igniting and cooling. 2. After the dealer-installer tried to remediate the matter, now there is a very loud CLUNK like the firebox has been kicked in addition to the ticking. 3. Now the fan is unusable because it makes a grinding sound at all speeds.
The dealer-installer (Granny's Gas and Woodstoves, Duncan BC) has tried repairs, but without success. Apparently he has spoken to the manufacturer in Delta BC, but there has been no response as far as I know. This does not surprise me because I e-mailed Regency about a year ago and got no response either. I suspect that the dealer is experiencing at least some frustration with my issues, which I doubt I am the only one. So getting timely service is quite slow because the dealer-installer is too busy.
In contrast, I have a 25 year old Inst-Flame fireplace in another room, and NONE of the above issues are occurring.
I invite someone from Regency to contact me directly because I have been dealing with these issues for about one year even though the dealer-installer has made a good effort.
This is our F1100 Regency Woodstove. We had the same model in our previous home and loved it. It keeps our entire 1000 square foot home toasty warm with very little wood. Another cozy winter coming up!
After a long period of arguing with Regency about our very noisy ticking fireplace they finally replaced it. We now have a beautiful, efficient and SILENT fireplace. Unfortunately it took close to a year to resolve our issues. It shouldn't have had to be that way. I was made to feel like I was going crazy with the super loud ticking noise! Very unfortunate because we now have a great product.
We definitely love our Regency fireplace. I was just saying to my husband tonight that it was one of the best things we did in our new addition. I had always wanted a fireplace, and when we put our new addition on, the fireplace was a big priority. However, we didn't want to bother of a log-burning fireplace, including having to buy firewood and and build the fire each time we wanted to use it. Being able to turn on the fireplace with a flick of the switch is wonderful! It is so toasty warm in the winter time. No fuss, no muss. And it looks beautiful! We put a stone veneer surround around it, to make it look like an old stone fireplace, and people have remarked, " it looks like it's always been there."
My wife and I purchased a Regency Fireplace insert in December of 2017 from Woodstove and Sun in Santa Cruz, as we had a gas hookup in our fireplace and wanted efficiency and heat from the unit. Had it installed in January of 2018, and we are extremely happy and impressed by the power and ease of use. It is located in our family room but it not only heats that room, but our Living Room as well! Thanks for a great product! Mike and Julie StClair from the Santa Cruz Mtns!
I have a Regency fireplace (wood burning insert) that was installed after I noticed the original brick fireplace pulling away from the wall. My home had been originally built on the McLaughlin estate or Parkwood, in Oshawa. Sam McLaughlin who built Parkwood, the location of many modern day movies, was the founder of General Motors.
When the hospital needed more space to build a Health Centre in the 60's, my home and two others identical to it were moved from the estate, from land gifted to the hospital by Colonel Sam to lots a short distance away and were placed on brand new foundations. The old home had the charm of the 20's with oak hardwood floors and mahogany inlay and gum wood trim imported from Africa due to the shortage of domestic hardwood as well as the benefits of modern day foundation and systems construction. When my house was moved, the brick tie-ins snapped and the brick fireplace gradually began its fall from the exterior wall. I dismantled it about twelve years ago and made three dump runs with the brickwork. Older fireplaces were inefficient and produced very little heat.
I chose the Regency fireplace to putting my firebox because it was a solid heating appliance yet had good basic design with a gold plated door that lent charm and beauty to my older home. I grew up in England in a home without central heating. There was, however, a fireplace in each room, even the bedrooms. My love of fireplaces goes way, way back.
My Regency fireplace is not my main heat source. I have a gas furnace, but it adequately heats my main floor even in sub zero weather, with the heat rising through the stairwell to the bedrooms on the second level. Last Friday my furnace broke down and no service was available until Monday. I have a good supply of hardwood so I built the fire and tended it all weekend. It lasted through the night, leaving a good bed of coals for me to tease to life in the morning. The temperature was 25 when I went to bed at night and still 20 when I got up the next morning. My Regency provides ambience and coziness in addition to excellent heat. My daughter in Squamish, BC bought two for her home because of my experience with them.
I love my Regency fireplace and highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a wood burning appliance.
Rubbish. Customer service is appalling, we have had problems since the first year it was installed. The fans are unreliable and repairing/replacing is very costly, and comes with a 60 day warranty. We always try to buy Canadian but this has been so disappointing.
We had a Regency gas fireplace insert installed in April 2018 and are very happy with it. It s attractive, maintains an accurate temperature, and is easy to operate with the remote. The installation by Propane Etc. was well fitted to our fireplace and its operation thoroughly explained. Great product and service!
I have a wood burning stove that crack in a corner, it is supposed to be guaranteed for life but Regency Refuse honored the warranty !!!! N Buy no Regency products, very disappointing
I would like to say we love our Regency fire place. We have had so many compliments on the fireplace. Each morning we have our coffee by the fireplace.
spent $5K on the i2700. It is beautiful, well built and super difficult to get any draw. This unit is for someone who is heating their house using wood NOT someone who wants a cozy quick fire in the evening. More than 50% of the time my house is filled with smoke. The unit doesn t completely seal, so instead of smoldering smoke going up the chimney it comes into my house.
It is not just me being inept, the techs at my Dealer couldn t get it lit, nor could other friends with inserts. Only the owner who has one was able to get it lit. And because its not defective there is no recourse. Total waste of my money.
Do not purchase a gas fireplace built by this company. Their customer service is awful. The U39 has a delayed ignition (explosion) problem and they do not return calls and have their voice message system turned off.
During our remodel of an older home we installed a Regency Gas Fireplace. After installation we had some issue with it setting the fire alarm off and a burning smell. The builder and the heating company who installed the fireplace looked at it several times with no success in solving the issue. Mike Brown who is the Account Representative for Fireplace Products/Regency Fireplaces came out to our home and spent several hours taking the fireplace apart and crawling on the floor with the builder to try and identify the issue. His knowledge was unsurpassed and he identified the heating company installed the wrong ventilation system (did not use the one that came with the product) and used the wrong silicone product to seal the fireplace. No one but Mike would have identified these issues. We want to thank him for his efforts and time involved to help us. We think Mike Brown deserves a big raise and promotion he was so good.
