Reedsburg Area Medical Center Review

Please do not go here if you are pregnant. Please please please do not trust them with your unborn child. They treat pregnant women like toys. Went in for something totally unrelated to my pregnancy. They decided to listen for my little boys heartbeat. Very clearly didn t know what they were doing. They also said we don t know what we are doing as they giggled like it was a baby shower. Couldn t find his heartbeat and refused to call an OB down. Btw my little boy is fine.

The care was great. Construction noise woke me up several times. Food good.

By far the most frustrating hospital, no Company<, I have ever had to deal with they just spam send you mail to your address l, don't help l, they don't communicate back with you they dont tell you what's happening, all they want is their money as fast as they can possibly get it. It's ridiculous this is the standard of a hospital.

Horrible people that are rude to people who have colored skin.

Place is a joke. I could run a better urgent care out of my living room. Waited an hour for them not even to get my name before I finally walked out. Don t waste your time!!

For someone with chronic pain and has been issued a lot of pills from when your pain first began, which may be years in my aunt's case, they will turn you away and send you home regardless how much pain you are in. I am upset at the fact that they would do that to my aunt, that has been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis since she was 12, and refuse to help because they believe she is "addicted to pills" and told her to stop wasting their time. I hate seeing my aunt upset because our local medical area won't help her.

Going beyond the expected in healthcare is a joke. Change your slogan to we don't care how you feel.

I would highly recommend if you're ever second doubting yourself to not go here nothing more than a band aid station and the last several times we visited here we had to go to the UW Madison is a complete joke clearly lacking education!!!!

Have the time the doc. Don't know what to do pretty much tell me to deal with it so I waste my time an I've been to the doc. Like 4 times and nothing they should pay my bills if they don't do anything errrrr

Dr. Neuman, Jodi, Erin, and Lindsey in the birthing center are absolute angels with superior kindness, caring, and knowledge!

The Doctors don't seem to think it necessary to check medical records and then prescribe incorrect medicines.

I was just denied of my prescription that I been on for the past eight years or more because I haven't been in for a yearly check up. I cant believe this. I have been going to this hospital for about 35 years. The newer nurse practitioner I have is not good. She was pushy this last time calling me every day to set up for test I did not need or want. Now she denies me of two pills I need. The lady i spoke with on phone was not very nice. I will just take my business elsewhere. I never expected this out of Redsburg. Sad to say this after all these years. I had all three of my babies there. My husband had surgery there. Where is the comparison and concern of your patients?

Physical Therapy Department top notch from the time you check in for your appointment until you leave. Lisa is a terrific therapist and Russ a great PTA. They do a thorough job and really get you going and keep you moving! Thankful for them!

Dont want to help you out .. They dont like to give medicine for pain... Etc etc .. recomend going some where else if u can ... Emergency room visits suck

They were very helpful in a quick and efficient manner.

I'll save you a trip to urgent care. ibuprofen or tylenol along with hot or cold compress. This place is a joke. Thought they were there to help not to just get a check and go home. Sad.

Would give a negative rating if there was an option. 9 yr old granddaughter was brought in last night for injury in gymnastic practice. After xrays they just put on brace even tho xray showed 2 hairline fractures. Told to bring back in a week. Daughter-in-law got copy of xray and took it to her work. They said she should have been put in cast. Are they just practicing there or what?

Took my wife here for a Immigration exam and this place has terrible communication with there patients they let us leave and did not tell us we had more test and now it's been a week still here nothing back from them I dont recommend this place.

I feel like the PA Jen didn't care at all didn't even bother to come look at me sent in someone else. I had gone in with snius/ear infection symptoms and was told it was a virus and dismissed. Two days later I can't swallow without pain, including water, so back in for a strep test. Weekend staff sucks by the way. Came out negative but said cough drops can cause a negative reading and said it was still the virus, get lots of fluids, and sent me out. How am I supposed to get lots of fluids if it hurts to drink? I felt rushed out all the times I have been there in the last 6 months which is why I don't go unless I am really scared. The only shining light is nurse Beth. She is a sweetheart and awesome beside manner. I give her 5 stars if I could.

to bad they don't do anything about the negative reviews posted here and other locations. but not surprised, they don't do anything about them when you complain to your doctor or administration either

Completely dismissive and rude, unprofessional and only seem interested in pushing pain meds.

We went to urgent care at 8:30 in the evening because my wife had a bad cold with a fever. The staff were very helpfull. They did the normal tests and made recomendations. They were kind and considerate at all times. We would highly recommend this urgent care facility

I'm beyond frustrated. I had to pay for my well-woman lab testing because although my Dr. is in-area with my insurance plan, RAMC only uses one lab to process results and it's not the lab my insurance uses! No one told me, they just processed it and stuck me with the bill. Their billing department even told me "I should know more about my insurance plan." No, you should know better, RAMC. My insurance, United Healthcare, stopped using the ONLY lab facility you have 6 years or more ago!!!!!
Ask a lot of questions during your visits so that you don't get charged for their inability to properly route lab tests.

For anyone who is unsure who they will have through their pregnancy and deliver their baby...
I HIGHLY recommend Midwife Chanille Witham! We were new to the area, and once I started seeing the midwives, we knew they were perfect for us!
Both midwives here are AMAZING, but Chanille was on call for my labor and birth and I just wanted to share my thoughts in hopes it helps others choose! :)
Chanille is so calm, encouraging, and caring!! Just knowing she was there was such a relief! She is very knowledgeable, thoughtful, thorough and helpful! I looked forward to the monthly and weekly appointments, she encouraged questions and no question I asked was a bad question to her and she never made me feel like she was in a rush.
Our baby girl is 5 months old now and my husband and I often think about how thankful I am that Chanille delivered her! God is good!

If it weren t for my doctor i d leave this place in a heart beat. i LOVE my doctor i ve gone to for about 7 years but this place sucks. i have to make an appointment every 2 months and i have to call at least 7 times before anyone answers and even then i m on hold for at least 15 minutes. it s RIDICULOUS.

Modern full service Medical with walk-in Clinic. Some Specialists available but Madison UW is for Trauma cases 40 minutes away.

I went to get tested for COVID 19 and they were very compassionate, professional, and timely. They made an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience as quick and comfortable as possible while also making me feel cared about.

Walk in urgent care is a joke. Spent 3 hours waiting just to be seen. Spent another 2 hours in room. The nurse jan was trying to tell me what my diagnosis was. And said well I guess the provider will have to see you then. But this is what's wrong.. place is a joke. Great manners jan!

Spent three hours of my day waiting for Urgent Care to be seen for an open wound about 2in in diameter just for them to dress it and tell me to go home. Would not recommend Urgent Care in Reedsburg

The nurses are great.. Lynn is very sweet..but dr Harris needs to stick to seeing children.. she treats you like a child and won't even say hi when you say hi to her in public... changing doctors even if I have to go to Madison. She had no compassion for my pain and suffering!!! Stick to the kiddis lady!!!

We were on a family vacation and my husbands foot swelled up and he felt like he had a terrible burning and stabbing sensation in it. We looked up the nearest hospital and went there. From the time we pulled up to the time he was discharged we had a fabulous experience. Being from out of town, they made us feel very comfortable . We were in and out very quickly. We would go back if it was ever needed.

I delivered my son at the birthing center at RAMC, and it was as good of an experience as I could have imagined. The nurses were absolutely amazing, and the delivery rooms are updated and very nice. I felt like the nurses really went out of their way to make me and my family as comfortable as possible.

Don't go to the ER if Dr. Ramsay is there! Only gave one star as there isn't an option for zero!!!! He knew absolutely nothing about my mother when I brought her into the ER, but instead of listening to family and believing what was said, suggested she go to a nursing home because she "was old." Showed absolutely no passion and has a horrible bedside manner. My daughter feels the same way. If I have to ever visit the ER, I will call before I go and if he's there I will go elsewhere. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone!
