Red Sea Church: A Community of Faith, Love, and Service
Red Sea Church is a vibrant community of believers located in the St. Johns neighborhood of North Portland. Our mission is to draw people to Christ, develop them in community, and deploy them into service. We believe that every person has a unique purpose and calling from God, and we are committed to helping each other discover and fulfill that purpose.
At Red Sea Church, we are passionate about worshiping God with all our hearts, minds, souls, and strength. We believe that worship is not just something we do on Sundays but a way of life that permeates every aspect of our existence. Whether we are singing praises to God or serving others in His name, everything we do is an act of worship.
One of the things that sets Red Sea Church apart from other churches is our commitment to community building. We believe that true spiritual growth happens best in the context of authentic relationships with others who share our faith journey. That's why we offer a variety of small groups where people can connect with one another on a deeper level.
Our small groups cover a wide range of topics including Bible study, prayer support, marriage enrichment, parenting skills development as well as social justice issues such as racial reconciliation or environmental stewardship among others.
We also have programs for children and youth where they can learn about Jesus in age-appropriate ways while having fun at the same time! Our children's ministry includes Sunday school classes for kids ages 0-12 years old while our youth ministry caters for teenagers aged 13-18 years old.
In addition to building strong relationships within our church family through small groups and ministries for children/youths; Red Sea Church also seeks opportunities outside its walls by partnering with local organizations working towards social justice causes such as homelessness prevention or food insecurity relief efforts among others.
We believe that serving others is an essential part of living out our faith. That's why we encourage everyone at Red Sea Church to find ways to use their gifts and talents to make a positive impact in the world around them. Whether it's volunteering at a local shelter or participating in a mission trip overseas, we believe that every act of service is an opportunity to share God's love with others.
