I had the opportunity to have my wedding at the RRZ this last weekend. Everything was seriously incredible. Not only was Sara incredibly easy to work with and always answered my questions (no matter how odd they may have seemed) but all of my family told me how easy the entire staff was to work with the day before and the day of. We could not have asked for a better experience and we are so excited to be back to visit on less busy days.

It's a smaller zoo but they do a lot with what they have. It was fun being able to feed some of the animals and the staff is friendly and always willing to answer your questions. If you have children this would be a great place to bring them. If you visit on an exceptionally hot day don't expect a lot of movement from the animals.

We are from out of town. This zoo has improved a lot since I live in Fargo, almost 15 years ago. There are a lot of animals to see. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. We hosted my daughter's birthday party here. Since we were from out of town, we weren't going to be able to get a cake, reschedule for another day, or anything. They took care of the cake, location, preparation, clean up, everything. We enjoyed our time at the zoo. The price was really reasonable too!

Absolutely love visiting here! My kids love learning about all of the animals. I love the "scenic trail" feel to the zoo. Very natural feeling. Animals always seem happy and content. There is a Mommy Pod for nursing mothers, which I have very much appreciated. The event days are a blast. Always very interactive for kids of all ages. The otters are definitely a family favorite! The food and drink stand is fairly priced, not extremely over priced like large zoos. Lots of benches and seating scattered throughout for resting tiny feet. The playground is awesome. When my daughter took a little tumble and employee ran over to help us and walked with us to a bench (she just got a small scrape, got more scared than anything). They even popped back by a few minutes later to make sure she was ok and told us to let them know if she needed a bandaid, ice pack or anything. We buy a family membership every year!

Our kids love this zoo. We live about an hour away, and it's the closest zoo we have. It's enough animals and activities to entertain our little ones. They have a little food court to order lunch or snacks. They also have a very cute gift shop. The kids get super excited every time we go.

We love going to the zoo! Red River Zoo is always fun to go to. We like going to events they put on and it's fun to walk around and enjoy all of the animals and exhibits. If you haven't gone yet I would definitely recommended going! Bring the kids! They'll have fun feeding the animals and also learning about them as well. Follow them on Facebook and you can keep up-to-date on the happenings at the zoo!

This Zoo is one of the most amazing places in Fargo. I highly suggest bringing young kids here along with adults as well. It offers an amazing experience for all ages from infants to the elderly. It is also relitivly cheap to go to as well.

Love the zoo! Such a fun, relaxing family space. I wish the city would have passed that building plan a couple years ago to expand the zoo and add restaurants and everything to the zoo but they didn't pass that. Stupid people. They wouldn't add a .5% sales tax to build it which would have greatly helped our city and brought much tourism to city. Regardless I love the zoo. Such a pretty place they've made it. They should expand it to the other side of the bridge!

This is a very nicely-kept zoo. It is very small, but quaint. If you plan to go a few times, the family membership might be worthwhile. They host many fun events and activities for kids and families, sometimes even free. They are open in the winter, too.

Even under feet of snow this zoo is still full of beautiful, active animals. 25 degrees today, february, and we got to see an otter, a red panda, and pallas cats more active than ive ever seen them before. We always enjoy the Red River Zoo.

This zoo has really stepped up the last few years. Not too large that you feel uncomfortable letting your kid out of sight. Friendly volunteers there to answer questions. I really love the PA announcements of live feedings and quick q&a sessions. The new kids area is really cool and had a small gift shop. There's a refreshment stand and a carousel too! The carousel kinda goes fast so make sure you are there to hold any small child that wants to ride.
Best deal is the membership. You get access to other zoos and lots of deals and special events.

So, if you have little kids and dont want to burn your day on a place like the Omaha Zoo, but you want to use about 2-3 hours. The Red River Zoo is perfect! We also got a Family Pass there it's awesome! Check it out.

This is a super great place to take your family. Fun to learn about different animals than are typically at most zoos. I m excited to see it grow and see the different animals they will get. Also they do many fun events that give parents a chance to take an evening off. Also Red Pandas are too cute!

My experience was that it was a clean zoo that is great for family and kids. Having a membership makes it perfect for about a 1 hour walk through and a fun variety of animals for the size of zoo.

What a wonderful small zoo! I had no idea Fargo had some of the best/most successful breeding programs for some rare beasts! Quite impressive, and yet cozy - in a very good way. A small zoo to make us very proud.

The red river zoo is Fargo's only zoo. It's clean, the exhibits and pathways are well maintained, and the animals are treated well. Not the biggest zoo, and very walkable in a reasonable amount of time. The carousel and playground keep kids entertained even after visiting all the animals. The only bad thi g is the admission prices area bit high, coming in at almost $10 a person.

Not a very large zoo; you can go through it in less than an hour. However, it does have a wide range of animals and it is working hard to expand and improve it's exhibits. For the reason it looks like a new zoo despite being around for awhile. Frequent zoo talks by staff to educate people on various animals. Successful breeding program means usaully you can see baby animals in the spring. Popular exhibits include the otters, wolves, and red pandas.

We had such a wonderful time at the zoo! It is one of the first places I've ever been to that had a place where I could comfortably nurse my little one. The fact that they thought of nursing moms meant the world to me. And the entire park is very baby friendly. We had a blast taking Saya around to every exhibit. We will definitely be returning. This place is a must see, even if you live in Fargo.

We had a wonderful time at this zoo. It was much larger than we expected! There was a very large variety of animals, a carousel and a playground. The sloth was just one of our favorites. I highly recommend visiting this zoo. You wont be disappointed.

We had read an article recently about a little red panda escape artist, so my husband and I had to go see for ourselves. We had a wonderful time and I'm always so happy to see the conservation effort and the attempt to raise awareness and give out information. Definitely a place I recommend donating to!

Attended a Bday party there. It was great. Pizza, cake, carousel rides and a presentation from a zoologist with a couple small animals.
Enjoyed every minute. After the party we toured the zoo.

The red river zoo is a nice place to go, but the animal selection is limited. I was hoping to see some big cat exhibits like lions or tigers. The main attraction was the red panda, which wasn't quite as exciting. Also, the wolves were a cool exhibit, but they were not very active, which wasn't that great. I'd like to set them at dusk when they're active, or see them while the staff feeds them, if they do that during business hours.
