We booked the twin room with my friend. Next to our room was a group of very drunk Finnish men. They were shouting, slamming doors, playing loud music and kicking the walls(!) at 2 AM in the morning. The hostel clearly didn't have security staff or a procedure how to handle the situation. The night receptionist was mad at us for complaining, and didn't do anything to solve the situation, not even apologizing. You have to pay for the towels, luggage doesn't fit in the lockers, and receptionist leaves the counter unattended leaving the bags unattended. Throw in some extra cash and book yourself a better place.

Really well placed. It's good for a hostel. We stay in a room exclusive, with good beds. It's quite near of main attractions and the good restaurants. The staff was very kindly. It worths because the localization, in the heart of the old downtown, and the low price.

Perfect central location for this small intimate hostel. I got a single room for less than l ve sometimes paid to share.
There s not much atmosphere as there is no communal room and the kitchen is small, but at least there is one, with free tea and coffee. Only one shower/toilet room on each floor, so you might have to wait your turn! The nearest good coffee house is Crumbles next door - they give you a discount too!
Would stay here again.

Great and clean common rooms and private rooms. It's located in the heart of Riga Old Town. Nice and understanding staff.

The owner is very rude person ! And in there mad people stay regularly in there. We complained but she didn t do anything. The atmosphere in there i very bad and unsuitable for stay.

Kick out people who don't follow the house rules. Nobody wants to listen rowdy slamming doors and shouting at 3AM in the morning.

Extremely cheap, and you get exactly what you pay for. Not much, just the bare necessities. A clean bed to sleep in and a pretty well equiped common kitchen. Bathroom is also common, so some might find that to be the deal breaker. If not, location is perfect in the very centre of old town and staff is more than helpful.
