The sales manager MATTHEW SUIDY threatened to "make my life a lot harder" if I want because I voiced frustration with the experience. His attempt at intimidation was unprofessional.

I came back every Saturday for multiple weekends for weekly extension tags because they lost the title and lied about the timeline on it being turned over to me. When I voiced concern about missing time with my family to repeated visits, Matthew told me he is the one that is inconvenienced and I should be thanking him instead of complaining.

The salesman told us if we get the car serviced there, to only let certain mechanics work on it and cautioned to stay away from certain others at all costs. This didn't make me comfortable about service.

There was no wait time for someone to offer their assistance. The manager and sales associates were all very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't walk away in a new car, they were appreciative we took the time and apologized for possibly wasting our time. Absolutely worth stopping by if you're looking to trade in the "old" for something new! (:

We live approximately 45 miles from Red McCombs Hyundai Northwest where we have purchased a Sonata and a Genesis Coupe. There are other dealerships closer to us but we chose to continue going to this dealer because of the quality of service and friendliness of the staff. Patrick, Reuben, Gonzo and others are a pleasure to work with. For honest, professional information and service - this is the only place for a Hyundai owner or prospective owner in San Antonio.
Why go anywhere else!

I took my car in for service and from the initial phone call I knew I shouldn't have come here. None the less I bought my car here so I felt it was the most appropriate place to take it. Parts were ordered for it after the rep told me it's covered under the warranty. I told him I knew as I had bought the extended warranty. He said my car needed an oil change which I found out considering I changed it a month ago. I said if it needs it do it. I asked my rep when will the car be ready and he said 20 min. I told him I was going to look at the new cars and came back to the waiting area. An hour later he is leaving
I chased him down and he said ohhh I thought you were looking at cars I said not I came back to wait for my car. No call no he didn't look for me to say your car is ready. Very disappointed.

I didn't feel pressured to buy something I didn't want and he worked with my budget to get me into the best fit for me. Very happy with the level of professionalism and service from this dealer and sales rep.

SERVICE HERE IS A JOKE! Brought my car in for a warranty issue and they charge $125for an adjustment. 2 days later same issue. Now they are willing to change the part out under warranty. Asked if I was going to get a refund because it's a warranty issue and they told me no. They are basically saying that any problem need a paid service to see if it will fix the problem before they will cover it under warranty. After enough complaining, they offered a free oil change. This place is a JOKE and won't ever see me there again. I guess next time I'll be going out of my way to Worldcar.

My 2007 Tiburon needed an alignment, so I went to Hyundai on I-10. Upon entering the building, I was cheerfully greeted by Mr. Eddie. The staff was very professional and courteous. The service area waiting room was clean and roomy. Even without an appointment my car was serviced in a timely fashion. Plus they offer great discount coupons on their web site. Eddie keep up the good work, you made my first visit a pleasant one. I would recommend this service center to others.

I always get super service from the service department at Hyundai NW. No matter who I am dealing with the Manager (Patrick), the Parts department, the service managers, the receptionist, or the mechanics---- they are all friendly and professional. My last visit only proved my point. Great service!

I was treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism by everyone involved with my car buying experience - from car salesman Jordyn that greeted me on my arrival to the dealership, sales manager Adam who worked with me and negotiated a fair deal, to finance manager Fabian who explained the details of the contract and answered any questions I had. Worst car dealership I ve every experienced. Reported to the BBB for predatory transactions. They DO NOT properly screen their used cars. NEVER BUY A USED CAR FROM HERE. Since I was initially sold a lemon that didn t meet the criteria of a lemon because it was used and they outright refused to give me my money back I was sold 2 fiat cars with major issues before finally getting a car the runs for more than 2 weeks. Now, I ve been waiting almost 3 months for my plates to come in and the title to be sent to my bank. According to the finance officer, Jason, it s my fault because all the cars the showed me keep breaking down within 30 days of having it and it probably confused the DMV..... So instead of accepting your dealership messed up, you blame the customer?!

This is the culture Red Mccombs Hyundai represents.

Mario Moreo, Ken Flynn explained the gap insurance really well to where I had no doubt it was what I wanted to purchase, Max was also a great help as well as Michael the sales Manager. I went in a few days ago. First I had to wait 10 min to see a salesperson. When I was shown a car (new), it was not clean, so the salesperson had to bring another one which wasn't clean either. When I started negotiating the price, they brought a price higher than MSRP. When I mentioned the price I had discussed on the phone prior to the visit, another person came out and said it was out of reach, then suggested "pre-owned" cars. It was insulting and a total waste of time.

Please treat your customers better with respect.

The place is always clean, the staff is very friendly and they always have my car ready that day (I always make an appointment first). I would recommend this dealer and service center to anyone looking for a car or car care.

My mother-in-law had her Hyundai Sonata Hybrid towed to Red McCombs Hyundai NW the day before yesterday to have it worked on. The HSG belt tensioner went bad and the HSG belt broke taking the A/C belt with it. After they diagnosed the issue for her, and made this mess, they told her it would be $900 parts and labor to fix it. I told her that I would do it for her instead. This is how they gave it back to her. The flatbed showed up at my shop tonight and I am completely appalled. Explain to me how this is acceptable in any situation. The grease has dried into it the leather. Unacceptable!

I had a very good initial experience with the serv...

I had a very good initial experience with the service department at Red McComb Hyundai Northwest.

It went in with what has proven to be a very complex issue with my 2016 Sonata Hybrid, the average gas mileage is down 25% since new.

2 other dealers have looked into it, said everything is working fine, and sent me on my way. These guys looked at it, said everything is working fine but the gas mileage should be in the 40s not the low 30s so we're puzzled. They asked if they could keep the car to do more tests. I agreed and they probed and prodded. They were able to confirm my observations but still came up without a solution.

I wish they'd been able to figure it out but I give them credit for trying. I plan to continue having my Hyundai serviced here.

We also recently bought a Genesis G70 from this dealership so looking forward to a long relationship with them servicing both cars.

I came in last week in military uniform from work to look at cars for my son and was immediately greeted by Paul Flores who first took the time to thank me for my service. Paul told me that another sales person was assigned and would be working with me, however, I asked if he could work with my son and I because I was already so impressed by his professionalism at the start. Paul spent over two hours showing us vehicles and even drove us to the sister dealership to look at a vehicle we were interested in (aprox. 15 minutes away). Paul never pressured us and was honest, forthcoming and sincere in answering all of our questions. I have purchased dozens of vehicles over the years due to frequent moves from being in the military, and can honestly say that Paul is by far the most knowledgeable and caring salesman I have worked with. I am tempted to trade in my daughter's vehicle now because of such a good experience we had at Red McCombs Hyundai Northwest and from Paul Flores. We ended up purchasing a new 2020 Elantra which my entire family is in love with. Paul took special time to go over every detail and feature with my young son for his first new car and did not rush us as we had plenty of questions. I am extremely impressed and cannot describe how lucky we were to run into Paul and for this low stress car buying experience. Have used Red McCombs Hyundai twice so far for two separate cars about a month apart due to recall work. It's further from our house than another dealer in town, but the experience there was 180 degrees from this one. Both times the experience at Red's has been outstanding, from the initial phone call for the appointment to checking in, to the service performed. All personnel were courteous, actually focused on you for the moment, and efficient. Waiting area was recently updated and clean throughout. For a safety recall on my Genesis, they arranged for a rental car while a part was shipped from Dallas. I hadn't even had the chance to ask for it. They just came to me and said that was what they were doing. Now THAT'S how a car company should stand behind it's products. I love our Hyundais and I'm impressed with the service at Red McCombs. Maybe it's because this dealership is a little smaller, but have not had such a good experience at any dealership in a long time. They've just won a new customer for both service calls and when we're looking for another car down the road. Thanks, Red McCombs Team!

We bought our Accent at another dealership, but Northwest is most convenient for us to have service done. We have had our car serviced here from day one (July 2011), and have never had any serious complaints. They almost always fit us in, even for unscheduled service needs, always explain everything clearly and completely, and are ensure that we are satisfied before we leave the premises. I went in looking to buy a sonata the list price was 19,500 on the tag they told me it they have a special that weekend for 20 percent off, when they brought out the paper work the price had suddenly jumped to 26,000 dollars so i asked the salesman where the extra charge came from and where the "20 percent" went he said it was right there never really explained anything....I paused and said no that they were adding 20 percent not subtracting, all this without the taxes yet mind you.
Well any how take a calculator if you don't want to be cheated out even if it is by accident as they don't know how to do math, or don't care to.

Our salesman did a good job. In the closing we noticed some things that were different than the Sales Manager told us. So we brought to their attention, they apologized and changed it. We had asked for some touchup paint. The Sales Manager said he would have it within a few days. Months went by and we never heard from them. Then we had an issue where a part fell off the vehicle and we took in and were told it would be in within a week. Several weeks later we never heard from them. I went into the store and was told face to face by the same Sales Manager that it was back ordered and he would check status and get back with me the same day. Never heard back from him. A few weeks later I went by and asked to speak to the General Manager. I was told he was not there, but would call me back when he returned that same day. That was 3 weeks ago now and I still have not heard back from him..... All I can say is that their service after the sale is not good at all. It doesn't seem to bother the Sales Manager to lie straight to your face at all. Folks my experience is that Hyundai Northwest cannot be trusted to keep their word about anything, especially the Sales Manager that we worked with. Good Luck

My Son brought his 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe here...

My Son brought his 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe here for a simple oil change which ended up taking over an hour!

In addition to this, my Son brought his Gen Coupe to Hyundai Northwest a couple of months ago to have his left rear tail light looked at as there was moisture in it. They gave him the run around telling him that he needs to bring it back right after it rained so that they could take a closer look at it. Being a Student and inexperienced with dealing with people like this, he took their initial word for it and left. This visit took 2 1/2 hours! He returned and again they gave him the run around and said that there was nothing wrong. This visit was 1 1/2 hours.

My Son came home to Houston for the Holidays and I had him take his Gen Coupe to the local Hyundai Dealership (Ron Carter) and within minutes the Service Advisor realized that the tail light was defective and required replacement since not only was the light leaking water internally but the seal was also allowing water into the trunk area. How they discovered this so quickly? They ran it through their car wash several times...Not only did they replace the tail light but they cleaned up the trunk area from the leaking water and shampooed the carpeting. DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS TO HYUNDAI NORTHWEST!

Red McCombs was the second dealer I visited and I decided to buy from them because Paul Flores and his team made me a better deal than the competition in town. We went by to test drive the same vehicle 3 separate times, Sonata sport 2015 with the technology package. Kevin Mathis quoted the wrong information all 3 times on the 5yr/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. We didn't find this out until after I gave all my information and we were sitting in the finance office.
Apparently, what Mr. Mathis meant to say was that was that the 5yr/60,000 mile warranty had a list of exclusionary items as well as it did not pertain to my entire technology package. " Oh, but I was more than welcome to purchase a $1,000 extended warranty that would cover most of the excluded items". They wasted my time.
On an excellent note I went to World Car Hyundai off Topperwine. Bill was the gentlemen that helped me out. He gave me a better offer and included the 5yr/60,000 mile warranty that did cover what Red McCombs is claiming to not offer.

We received a text from the team lead asking for feedback on their service. After responding voicing some concerns about the repairs we received, the rep used the excuse of being the most busy Hyundai dealership in San Antonio to dismiss the feed back provided to him of discourteous treatment and a lower caliber workmanship. If you are so busy it impacts service, maybe hire more people?

If you are asking for honest feedback, accept it. If you are just looking for a pat on the back give one of those BS surveys where the questions are worded to encourage 5stars. We wouldn t even have left the review if this follow up interaction hadn t taken place, but don t give a show of caring if you don t!

They are Liars I was promised a very specific car which they pulled my credit 4 times for told me I was approved and to call to make the down payment at which point the sale rep Paul Flores already knew the car wasn't available and instead chose to tell me, "I'm busy with another customer I will call you back to get the payment" which he didn't it wasn't until the next day an email from a different person told me the car was gone. This highlights the character of the sales people here contacted the manager Scott brown who assured me the info would be passed on to the GM Raul Melchor whom I still haven't received any type of apology. During a period where someone is making a big purchase our credit score is huge because it can translate into unnecessary expenses and I checked with my TransUnion and Experian and they confirmed these hard inquiry did increase my score these employees don't comprehend the consequences of the information they handle and shouldn't be allowed to continue

Just called now and AGAIN they talked to me as a stupid.
Three weeks ago I drove one of my two Elantras (2016) there because the battery was dead. They "recharged" it.
Now, I got the same problem with my second Elantra. I called and asked "how much it would be to recharge my second battery." The person that answered answered "they never recharge these batteries", and spoke to me as an idiot.
Seriouslly, it is not the first time you guys have no clue about anything there. Nobody should never ever be treated as you do. What is your problem? Yes you do have this service.

i bought my vehicle a year ago first 6 months of the car was great ,but at the 7 months my clear coat in my 4 wheels star to peeling so i contact the dealer for the warranty got denied because they considered that is not a factory issue even that i came with the proof of the factory issue is always a excuse for not helping their customer they just only care of selling and earn money thats it . they evev told me that i can t use a regular car soap to clean my car because is causing the issue really so then how am suppose to wash my car then follow my advice dont bring your business to this place they just care about $$ and not in the customer
