Rare Society Inc. Review

Just stopped by for happy hour. They had a wide variety of discounted bites till 6pm. We only tried the bacon and chopped salad. Both of which were delicious.

My four friends and I had a reservation here at 7:30pm on a Saturday. We were seated promptly, and quickly ordered our first round of drinks, and some baked rolls, wagyu beef sausage, and oysters on the half shell to start. The rolls were warm, buttery, and easy to pull apart. The sausage was soft and succulent. The oysters were fresh and briny.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly, but then service ceased. Our second round of drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive to the table (mine took 45 minutes), and our entrees did not come out until TWO hours later. We asked our server, David, for updates a few times, but wasn t given any explanation or an apology until almost two hours later when he replied we just had a big wave of people come in at 8pm . We had sat down at 7:30pm, so that was not a valid excuse; regardless of the situation, it s unacceptable to have to wait over two hours for your food. We were eventually able to get a hold of the manager who told us that David had actually forgot to put our order in. The manager was very apologetic, sincere, and had our food delivered to the table promptly. In the end, he gave us 25% off our total bill and promised a better experience at our next visit.

As for the food- everything was delectable. We ordered the executive along with one additional steak for a table of 5. All the steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare and very tender. The steak came sliced on a wooden lazy Susan, allowing everyone at the table to easily retrieve the food. We also ordered several sides- the creamed spinach was my favorite, although the cream could have been a thicker consistency.

In summary: delicious and well prepared steak, nice ambiance, and poor service/wait time for the food.

For my birthday, I was craving steak from an old-fashioned steakhouse, and even though CA is a bit of a trek for me, Harris' sounded as if it would be worth the trip.

Yup, definitely worth it! I purposely got there early to check out the bar. The Manhattan was superb, and the dark wood bar and dim lighting created just the vibe I was hoping for.

Once seated, the service was friendly and well-paced. The salad, appetizer, and entree were delicious, especially the perfectly prepared rib-eye.

I know this place has been around for a long time, but it was my first experience, and I'm very glad I came.

Everything at this restaurant is amazing. Don't even hesitate, just go eat here!!!!

Super awesome steak house. I believe the owner was playing bartender and waiter. The outside patio was full but we had inside dining reservations. Assortment of fine beef offerings was what my kids and I were looking for. Had an order of piping hot rolls and had to order another. Top notch oysters rockefeller all to myself. Had a combo meat plate to share at the table. It was fun having 3 different cuts of meat and USA wagyu beef from CO. Super friendly staff and great ambience with the large old school booths! Old Fashion for me and Shirley Temples for the kiddos. Great lave cake. Will come again. Seems like it was off the beating path for a high caliber restaurant like this but we'll worth it. Will come again

If this place isn't a fantastic treat!!! Great for a date night, or a bunch of friends. If you're going to go, make sure you have plenty of time and money. Worth every penny!

With their new outdoor patio, and their cozy and trendy indoor dining area, Rare Society is a great location for happy hour or dinner. The service is quite exceptional and the team are all so helpful and friendly. The food is absolutely fantastic. Can t wait for my next meal here.

I never leave reviews, but Rare Society fed us industry folks for free while we were unemployed over the pandemic. I m so excited to be able to support this restaurant now that we are back on our feet. Your kindness and generosity will not be forgotten and you have earned a customer for life.

The food is phenomenal too. Perfectly cooked and seasoned steak with delicious sides. Even the rolls are on point. Great customer service. Highly, highly recommend!
